The Situation: Sentenced to 8 Months in Prison!

Forgive the most obvious pun in the history of writing, but it simply must be done. And here it goes: Mike Sorrentino officially finds himself in a bad situation. As sorry as we are for going there, we’re guessing this Jersey Shore mainstay is even more sorry at the moment for having not paid his taxes back in the day. He has been sentenced to eight months in jail as a result. The MTV personality and his brother Marc were indicted in September 2014. Then, in January of this year, they pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion and actually faced a five-year prison sentence. (Marc was sentenced to 24 months in prison on Friday.) Fast forward seven days to this morning and The Situation was accompanied to the courthouse by fiancee Lauren Pesce. All the familiar Jersey Shore names — Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Angelina Pivarnick — were all spotted on the scene as well. So Sorrentino at least had plenty of support when he learned his fate. On top of the eight-month prison sentence, Mike must also complete 500 hours of community service and was given $123,913 in restitution already paid, plus a fine of $10,000 that must be paid within 30 days. The day before the sentencing, Snooki told Us Weekly that the cast was “hoping for the best,” adding of The Situation: “He’s just such a good person. He changed for the better. He’s a totally different person. He doesn’t deserve this right now, but obviously you gotta get that done.” Sorrentio and Pesce are allegedly planning a prison wedding at some point within the next year, as Mike tries to give himself something positive to look forward to in light of this news. In pre-sentencing memos obtained by the Associated Press yesterday, Sorrentino’s lawyer argued he should receive probation, stating that the MTV star played a minimal role in the supposed financial conspiracy … … and has worked diligently to overcome substance abuse in the time since his arrest. Conversely, prosecutors asked for a jail sentence of 14 months, arguing that such time would send the message that “tax fraud will be met with real punishment.” They also noted that Sorrentino’s substance addiction didn’t stop him from structuring cash deposits to avoid government scrutiny. Sorrentino has been to rehab on two occasions to try and overcome this addiction. Earlier this year, he told People Magazine that he has “worked so hard to turn my life around and be the best person I can be,” adding the following of appearing on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 2. “I had a very strong foundation for my recovery with over two years [sober] when I entered the house. “But I did have to challenge myself to go out and film a whole season of Jersey Shore and have fun without alcohol — to show the youth out there that it is possible.” The Situation’s status for Season 3 of this reality show revival is unknown right now. But it isn’t looking good.

Cristy Caserta, Former Bachelor Suitor, Dead at 38

Cristy Caserta, a woman who vied for the heart of Brad Womack on The Bachelor Season 15, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday after suffering an apparent seizure. She was 38 years old. According to law enforcement officials, per TMZ, Caserta was attending a class at a school in Sunrise, Florida when she suddenly fell forward at the desk where she was sitting. Her alarmed classmates quickly dialed 911. Tragically, however, Caserta went into cardiac arrest as the paramedics arrived and administered CPR. She was transported to nearby Westside Regional Medical Center … where they continued efforts to save her, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead not long after her arrival. The police have said they don’t suspect foul play and that no drugs were found in Caserta’s system. An autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the official cause of death. This is what the Sunrise Police Department in Florida said about Caserta, who worked as an attorney: “The students around her noticed her coffee fell to the ground and thought maybe she fell asleep, but she was unresponsive when they approached her. “They called 911, and Fire Rescue showed up and started CPR and she was still unresponsive.” As mentioned above, Caserta was featured on Womack’s second season as The Bachelor. She was sent home during the first week. Stephen Carbone, the blogger behind the Bachelor spoilers site Reality Steve, paid tribute to Caserta on Thursday night, writing: “Sick to my stomach to see that Cristy Caserta from Brad Womack’s 2nd season has suddenly passed away. “Cristy was always there to give me legal advice in the past. I’m at a loss after seeing people post on her FB. Just spoke a couple weeks ago. RIP my friend.” In January, Caserta started a job working as a corporate lawyer for a healthcare staffing agency in Sunrise. She had worked as a lawyer at a different company during her time on The Bachelor and was granted leave to appear on the series. Vicki Gunvalson: I Still Think Gina Kirschenheiter is Lying …

On the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County , Vicki Gunvalson was feeling very argumentative and accused Gina of being “selfish.” Vicki is trying to clear the air, now. But she still insists that it’s frustrating to hear Gina speak so casually of her divorce. Taking to her Bravo blog, Vicki Gunvalson writes about her blowup fight with Gina Kirschenheiter. “I did feel like I was too hard on her when we all had dinner at my house,” Vicki admits. “And,” she continues. “I regret saying anything to her that may have hurt her feelings.” “It’s been frustrating for me to see her so casual about divorcing her husband,” Vicki expresses. “It doesn’t make sense to any of us,” Vicki says. “And I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a lot we don’t know.” Vicki then shares her personal conspiracy theory about the Kirschenheiter divorce. “My personal take on this is,” Vicki writes. “They were probably separated when we met her and that is why he decided to move to LA without her.” “I don’t know if that’s true,” Vicki admits. “But that’s what makes sense to me.” “If there is anything I do know, it’s the mistakes I made in my two marriages,” Vicki acknowledges. “And if there is anything I could do to help her or anyone else,” Vicki says. “I feel inclined to speak up.” “I have spent my entire professional life of almost 30 years helping people ‘plan for the unplanned ‘,” Vicki writes. ” And my goal is to always make sure their financial future is secure,” she says, referring to her insurance work. “It’s hard for me not to want to offer my advice to Gina,” she confesses. In other words, if she knew how to keep out of other people’s business, she wouldn’t be a Real Housewife. “This is not my first rodeo,” Vicki says. “I know how this ends and it’s hard.” “I want the best for Gina and her family,” she says. “And in the future I will not dismiss her reasons but will be there to help her if she needs me.” “When Gina asked me a question about regretting my decision to be divorced,” Vicki writes. “Knowing that I am in a better place got me really thinking about it.” Divorce is complicated, and everyone has different thoughts on the difficult process. “I think it comes down to not making the same mistakes I made before,” Vicki suggests. “And being the best partner for Steve I can be.” “I’m in an amazing place,” Vicki says. “And I’m incredibly grateful and thankful that such a solid, gorgeous, loving, ‘no drama’ man came in my life.” That’s certainly an improvement over that total creep Brooks Ayers . “We both live with the decision of divorce,” Vicki writes. “And we talk openly about it.” “The truth is we both agree we should have done things differently in our past marriages to have saved them,” she continues. “Divorce is difficult on the kids,” Vicki acknowledges. “Difficult financially and emotionally.” “And,” she concludes. “I’m much clearer now than I was 10 years ago on what it truly takes to make a marriage work.” After that, Vicki plugs her business and then encourages readers to follow her on Instagram. Gina Kirschenheiter has really resonated with a sizable chunk of fans and viewers of The Real Housewives of Orange County . She is, quite frankly, relatable. Divorce can be difficult, but a lot of viewers were happy to see someone speaking casually about a difficult process. Not every unpleasant experience is the end of the world. Kim Kardashian on Instagram: Gaze Upon My Vagina, Won’t You?

The sight of Kim Kardashian naked or in a partial state of undress is not an uncommon one. But if the popularity of modern superhero movies has taught us anything, it’s that people want nothing more than to see the same exact thing over and over again. And in the case of naked Kim, at least it’s free and doesn’t eat up three hours of your afternoon. As you can see, Kim is wearing a bikini in her latest selfie. But it’s not just any bikini, mind you. For one thing, it’s Chanel, and probably custom, which means it also probably costs about as much as your college education. On top of that, this particular piece of swimwear holds the distinction of being the World’s Tiniest Bikini. And whenever a fancy designer label is combined with an opportunity for partial nudity, Kim just appears, like Beetlejuice with giant boobs. Kim captioned the photo: “Chanel vintage, lets please be specific,” which is a reference to the Metro Boomin song “Chanel Vintage.” But you came here for boobs, not esoteric allusions to 4-year-old hip hop songs. Although at this point, what’s really left to be said about Kim Kardashian’s boobs ? Well, quite a lot actually. For one thing, they look remarkable, especially for a woman who’s birthed and breastfed (we think) two children. And while she’s rumored to have undergone a lift or two, as far as we know, Kim has never received implants. Of course, she appears to be lying on her back here, so despite the amount of flesh that’s exposed, it’s not easy to determine exactly what’s going on with Kim’s breasts these days. Obviously, Mrs. Kardashian-West is in the best shape of her life, and she deserves credit for the amount of work that she puts into hair removal. Although, to be fair, once you achieve that level of wealth, we’re sure someone does the pube-plucking for you. We’re speaking figuratively, of course. You can be sure a pair of tweezers hasn’t entered the vicinity of Kim’s vagina in quite some time. These days, she probably undergoes some new technique involving magical incantations that the rest of us haven’t even heard of yet. Mike Sorrentino Begs Judge For Leniency, Receives Prison Time Anyway

It’s a sad day for Jersey Shore star and reality TV icon Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. As we reported earlier, Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months in prison in connection with a string of legal troubles that began back in 2014. At that time, Mike and his older brother Marc were indicted for failure to pay taxes on $8.9 million in earnings. Additionally, the brothers were accused of covering up their crimes by filing false tax returns in connection to Mike’s business ventures. In April of 2017, Mike was hit with additional charges of tax evasion and structuring funds to avoid currency transaction reports. Under the terms of his plea deal, Sorrentino was only forced to plead guilty to one count of tax evasion, but that proved to be enough to land him behind bars. Mike’s attorneys argued that he played a minimal role in the financial conspiracy masterminded by his brother (who has already been sentenced to two years in prison). They also noted that Sorrentino has worked hard to overcome the substance abuse issues that plagued him as a young adult. Speaking on his own behalf, Sorrentino made a heartfelt plea for leniency that ultimately fell on deaf ears. “I am deeply sorry. I will forever regret the decisions I made,” he told the court. “I overcame my demons in 34 months,” Sorrentino added. “I was in almost a full year of treatment. I lost everything in a short period of time. I was immature. Everything came overnight.” Sorrentino joked that he “doesn’t even speed anymore” before listing the ways in which he’s served his community over the course of the past three years. “I have a new team of professionals helping me. I work at two rehabs to share my story,” he said. “I volunteer at the police department. I warn kids of the dangers of substance abuse. I want to continue to be a positive role model in my community.” But despite Mike’s obvious remorse, his good works, and the endorsement of his Shore castmates — all of whom were present in the courtroom today — the judge denied Sorrentino’s request for probation and a fine and his only penalties. In addition to jail time, Mike will be forced to serve 500 hours of community service and pay a $10,000 fine within 30 days. He has already paid $123,913 in restitution. There’s no word yet on when Mike will begin serving his sentence, but it currently looks as though he will not be appearing in the planned third season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation . It wasn’t hard to get that sample, now they took a nice little chunk ( laughs ) but they deserve that chunk. I didn’t care if they wanted to take the whole pie, I just knew that sample needed to be on that record. I didn’t care, I was just happy they were gracious enough to let me sample it. I love them for that.” On the feel of the record: “I feel I had to get some things off my chest. I felt that it’s a lot of n*ggas I didn’t necessarily have to prove myself to but I had to remind them of some sh*t. I’m appreciative of being a singer-songwriter but it’s not easy. For me it’s like 2 PM, 3 PM to 6 AM 7 AM. I take it so seriously. I respect that craft and for me with this record, I feel there’s a lot of things and attitude that I needed n*ggas to understand. I’m not talking about men specifically but people I think were non-believers. As  Rap Radar reports Meek’s public relations team doubled up with not one but two covers of the fall issue. For the feature the “All Eyes On You” rapper pens a letter to his 19-year old self. The message speaks about perseverance, race in America, the judicial system and looking forward to his accomplishments. The magazine created an accompanying visual as a teaser to the letter. Since being released from jail Meek has shown immense growth. He has seemingly become the face of criminal justice reform with ongoing participation in rallies and voicing the plight of non violent offenders who have been unfairly hit with severe sentences.
