Today, fans are mourning the shocking death of Prince , the visionary music legend who brought us unforgettable hits like “Kiss,” “1999” and “When Doves Cry.” The singer was found dead in his Minnesota home, just one week after his plane made an emergency landing to treat what representatives later said was the flu . However, Matt Fink, who played keyboards in Prince’s band The Revolution in the 80s, tells Radar Online that he believes Prince had more health problems than he had let on. “I can’t believe it was flu related,” Fink said, referring to last week’s incident. “At that time, I speculated it was not good,” he added. “But I was glad he was well. I assumed he was fine, that he was healing.” View Slideshow: Prince: Stars React to the Death of Iconic Singer In 2009, Prince revealed that he had been born with epilepsy and suffered seizures when he was a child. However, Fink said his friend never mentioned it to him. “He never discussed it. He brought that up much later after the band.” Fink said Prince had disclosed a separate health condition, but didn’t reveal any details about it. “He told me he had a heart murmur as well,” he claimed. “But we never discussed it.” “We’re in major shock right now,” he concluded. “It’s very difficult to express how we (the members of the band) feel. As you’ve likely heard, music icon Prince died today at the age of 57. Not surprisingly, his passing has drawn comparisons to the recent death of another music legend. David Bowie passed away in February after a long battle with cancer that he’d managed to keep private – no easy feat in 2016. Now, many fans are wondering if Prince – one of the only figures in the history of pop and rock music who could accurately be likened to Bowie – took a page from the Thin White Duke’s playbook by hiding his illness from the public in the months leading up to his death. TMZ is now reporting that several insiders believe they have evidence that Prince knew his health was failing . In addition to the fact that he was admitted to the hospital last week for what his reps called a flu, Prince made some surprising comments to the crowd during a party at Paisley Park on Saturday. “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers,” the Purple One said, confusing many on hand. Add to that the fact that Prince began writing his memoirs just last month, and it begins to look as though, like Bowie, the music legend knew his time was fact approaching. Teigen’s mother, meanwhile, also shared a picture on social media of her and her grandchild. According to an insider close to the couple, everything is going very well at home. “John and Chrissy are in such a joyful place with their healthy baby girl Luna,” this person tells E!
