Kate Gosselin has been giving a lot of interviews lately, which means, of course, that she’s been trash-talking the father of her children like it’s her job (which we guess it sort of is). Over the years, Kate has become a master of subtle shade-throwing, and while she used to just let her feelings be known in shrill tirades, now she neuters her victims one tiny snip at a time. Earlier this week Kate said her kids lack a male role model , which would be tough for any dad to hear. (Although Jon just became a DJ at age 38, so she may have a point.) Today, Kate doubled-down on those comments, claiming that the main reason Jon sucks as a role model is that some of his kids never even see him! “Some of the kids visit, some don’t,” Kate said in an interview with E! News. “That’s for the best. There were many tears. Things that happened with my divorce were hurtful. I’m definitely a no-regrets kind of person. I’ve always done the best with what I had.” Gotta love that ability to take a question about the kids and make it all about her, right? The whole interview is pretty damn funny, and definitely worth a read. At one point Kate says her celeb crush is Patrick Dempsey (Good luck with that one), but the real highlight is when she’s asked to describe herself: “People think I’m mean and b-tchy,” Kate says, presumably with a straight face and no trace of irony. “But I’m actually pretty laid back, and I don’t have an ego!” (See what we mean about the lying?) For the first time, Simon Cowell has spoken out about Zayn Malik leaving One Direction . And, no, unlike some, the music icon did not compare Malik to a terrorist . At an event celebrating the ninth season of Britain’s Got Talent, however, Cowell did say Zayn is a “fantastic singer,” adding of the young star: “He’s got to get his head together a little bit. Dancing with the Stars cast member and former star of The Bachelor Chris Soules says his fiancee Whitney Bischoff is still friends with his runner-up, Becca Tilley. How does he feel about that female friendship? Will it result in the obligatory, almost daily rumors of trouble in paradise between Chris and Whitney? Actually … “I’m so glad they’re friends,” Soules said. “It doesn’t surprise me because I was pretty close to some guys dating Andi [Dorfman] when I was on The Bachelorette .” “I’m just glad they were able to keep their friendship, because they’re great girls. It’s been a rather risque week for Kendall Jenner. Nina Dobrev is about to take her final bite out of The Vampire Diaries. In a stunning announcement, the actress posted a long message on Instagram that confirmed she will say goodbye to The CW smash at the end of The Vampire Diaries Season 6 . LeAnn Rimes gets accused of doing a lot of strange, sketchy things, but most of them have to do with her ongoing efforts to catch Eddie Cibrian cheating . We can’t really blame her for that, because Eddie is almost certainly sleeping around . So the snooping makes perfect sense, but LeAnn’s latest shady antics are a little bit harder to understand. It seems Mrs. Rimes-Cibrian has taken to writing little motivational sayings on chalkboards, then posting the photos on Instagram. Yeah, the girl’s got a lot of time on her hands, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. The problem is that some of the sayings – which LeAnn has allegedly passed off as her own – appear to have been lifted from the Twitter account of a woman named Rachel Wolchin. Wolchin is an LA-area writer and photographer, and apparently LeAnn figured she’s non-famous enough that her tweets could be stolen without anyone noticing. Unfortunately, LeAnn has a ton of online haters, several of whom have called her out for stealing from Wolchin without giving her credit. Is it a big deal? Not really. As far as we know, you can’t copyright a tweet. We doubt LeAnn will even acknowledge this mini-scandal public, but we’re sure those who already don’t like her will add it to their already-lengthy list of reasons why she can’t be trusted.
