Nene Leakes Says Kenya Could Not Afford Apartment She Showed Her For someone who is suppose to be “gone with the wind fabulous,” Kenya’s hotel room did look like she was ballin’ on a budget. According to Rolling Out: Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes’ friendship has quickly been deteriorating on this season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but on Sunday night’s episode, Leakes tried to help Moore out after she was forcefully evicted from her home. But Leakes’ efforts seemed all for naught when Moore turned down the apartment she tried to show her. Now Leakes is claiming that the apartment wasn’t beneath Moore’s standards; she’s saying Moore’s finances were beneath the price of the place. During the episode, Leakes paid Moore a visit in her temporary home after she was evicted and Leakes was shocked to learn that Moore was staying in a “ghetto hotel” until she found a new place. Leakes took Moore to a swanky, upscale penthouse apartment where the asking price was $1.6 million for 4,000 square feet of space. However, Moore scoffed at the penthouse and claimed that she wouldn’t live any place that doesn’t at least have 5,000 square feet. Yesterday, Leakes used her Bravo blog to shoot down Moore’s claim, saying that the former beauty queen was just too broke to afford the place. “Given the fact that she claims to be so fabulous, it was quite shocking to see her in a less than fabulous hotel. I’m not Kenya’s friend, but I am trying to get to know her, so I wanted to reach out to her to help her with looking for a home, because Atlanta is my city,” wrote Leakes. “I took Kenya to one of the finest, most exclusive penthouses in Atlanta, but I know when a girl can’t afford something, so I joked and we exited the building because I clearly had taken her out of her price range!” she claimed. However, Moore didn’t take the criticism lying down and she reacted to Leakes on her own Bravo blog . “I can call foul and say NeNe was throwing shade in her interviews about my living arrangements. The truth is I was at the Georgian Terrace, which is a 4-star hotel with valet parking in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite while the other side of the hotel was being renovated,” she wrote. “But no one should try to count my money, especially when one has never owned a home of their own.” Do you think Nene has gotten too Hollywood or does Kenya need to step her game up?
