Kate Middleton and Prince William React to Royal Baby News

Royal Congratulations continue to pour forth for the Royal Couple who are all set to welcome another Royal Baby. Early on Monday, Kate Middleton and Prince William confirmed the news that so many Royal Followers had been hoping to hear for weeks: They are, indeed, expecting their first child . The announcement was made by Kensington Palace itself, which said the following in an official statement to the world: Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public. We don’t know exact due date or the gender, but Markle is reportedly “feeling well” and has successfully completed her 12-week wellness exam. This really is so very exciting. And we’re not the only ones who feel this say. The Palace has also stated that Kate Middleton and Prince William are “delighted” by Markle’s pregnancy, although no further details related to their reaction have been revealed just yet. (Perhaps because Middleton must now figure out a way to announce she is also pregnant and due on the same day? ) Elsewhere, Meghan’s mom is pretty psyched about the development. “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news. She looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild,” the Palace said today on her behalf.   Neither Markle’s controversial father nor her totally awful half-sister has said a word about Meghan’s miraculous state. Sadly, though, it’s probably only a matter of time. We need not wait to hear from other key members of the United Kingdom society, though. Prime Minister Theresa May said in a statement: “My warmest congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the happy news they are expecting a baby in the Spring. Wishing them all the best.” And this is from Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who married the couple in St. George’s Chapel in May: “Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their happy news! Prayers for them in the months ahead.” Harry and Meghan are currently in Sydney, Australia, where they have kicked off the first day of their 16-day tour, which will also see them travel to New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji. Sounds like fun! At some point, Markle will need to scale back on some Royal Duties due to her pregnancy, but that time has not yet arrived. Over the weekend, speculation about Meghan’s womb grew stronger than ever after she showed up at Princess Eugenie’s wedding in an overcoat… and kept it on throughout the ceremony. This is what Twitter users had to say in response to the ensemble… View Slideshow: Meghan Markle Just PROVED She is Pregnant, Twitter Thinks … and, for once, they were right! Meghan Markle is pregnant! Prince Harry is going to be a father! We send the couple our very best wishes.

Yes, we’re sharing this because the latter is bi-racial and we’re claiming the Nubian Queen who has infiltrated the Royal Family (via love, of course).  Early this morning (Oct. 15), Kensington revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, respectively, have a bun in the oven that’s due in Spring 19. Per Buzzfeed, the child will be 7th in line to the throne after Harry’s dad, Prince Charles, his brother, Prince William, William’s three children, and then Harry himself. For Black People, Voting Is Just The Beginning Of The Work

Read this article:

B arack Obama took the stage for his farewell speech mere days after Donald Trump had been elected president of the United States in 2016. The 44th president tried his best to instill hope and faith in his followers who had been dealt a blow of fear and despair. He spoke about civil action and voicing our concerns when the government fails us. At one point, when Obama mentioned the future President Donald Trump, members of the crowd started to boo. His response was short, off-the-cuff and enlightening about the outgoing president’s ideals: “Don’t boo, vote.” This has been Obama’s doctrine for more than a decade, and to be fair, a go-to one-stop solution offered up mostly to minority populations as the ways to initiate change in America. This isn’t new. One of the pillars of the civil rights movement was making sure that African-Americans could secure the right to vote. An incalculable amount of men and women died for that right to cast ballots in elections. My father risked his life fighting for voting rights. I understand the vast importance of the changes that can occur in America if people have a passion for voting. But I also understand that acting like voting is the final solution to the problems poisoning America is an oversimplified dismissal of what Black people have had to endure to simply survive. READ MORE:  Here’s What Millennials Think About Voting For A Black Candidate Having faith in voting is, in effect, having faith in the fairness of America’s so-called democracy. And having faith in America’s so-called democracy is an act of naïveté and self-sabotage. American politics doesn’t act on fairness. It never has, and as soon as Black people secured the right to vote, the country worked overtime to find ways to take those rights away, either by stripping that right via mass incarceration or straight-up changing rules to nullify the impacts of Black votes. In short, the war against Black voting rights never ended and the weeks and days leading up to the 2018 midterms is a testament to how much this country – namely the GOP – wants to make Black voting ineffective. In Georgia, for instance, Republican Secretary Of State and GOP candidate for governor, Brian Kemp, has purged 53,000 names from voter registration lists – more than 70 percent of those were African-American despite the fact the state is a little more than 30 percent Black. Since 2014, the state has shut down 214 polling places, mostly in predominately Black counties. Florida is suppressing more than half a million voters . A study from the Brennan Center For Justice found that New York, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida have engaged in illegal purges, while Arizona, Alabama, Maine and Indiana have put rules on the books that violate the Civil Rights Act in order to suppress votes. Officials at polling places no longer have to make potential voters ask how many bubbles are on a bar of soap anymore as policies achieving the same purpose are now baked into official laws across the country. But what happens if we do actually get to cast a ballot on Election Day? American policy has failsafes in place to minimize the impact of Black votes. The electoral college was instituted as a compromise to give southern states heightened voting power to account for their population of slaves. That same electoral college allowed the last two Republican presidential candidates to ascend to the White House despite the fact they didn’t win the popular vote. The Senate, which allocates two votes per state, dilutes popular votes, as well. By 2040 , two-thirds of the Senate will represent a mere 30 percent of the U.S. population. Think about this: Due to the population differences between Alaska and California and the fact they each still get the same amount of Senate representatives, a Senate vote in Alaska is worth more than 50 times a vote in California. READ MORE:  Kavanaugh Brings His Voter Suppression Record To A Court That Just Upheld A State’s ID Law Voting is a vastly important method of changing the country when we are dissatisfied with those in charge. However, the narrative around voting needs to change. Black people, for the most part, don’t pass on voting because they are lazy or complacent. Voting numbers are rarely if ever a reflection of how much Black people care. On the contrary, voting numbers are reflections of the continued effort to suppress Black people’s rights to have a say in what happens in regards to American policy. Every Black vote is a testament to perseverance and overcoming a system that doesn’t want us stepping foot in voting booths. Every missed Black vote is a reflection of the country succeeding in suppression. When Obama admonished to “don’t boo, vote,” he was displaying the faith he has in America – the same faith that got him elected and the same faith that kept him from believing Donald Trump could be president until it was too late. However, “just” voting isn’t enough. Don’t boo, vote. Don’t boo, resist. Don’t boo, march. Don’t boo, speak up. Don’t boo, live. This is how we survive in America. Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Surprise Absolutely No One by Breaking Up

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have called off their engagement. We’ll give you a minute to recover from the shock… Wait? What’s that? You aren’t stunned at all because this was the most obvious break-up of all-time? Fair point. According to People Magazine, Us Weekly and other reliable outlets, the singer and the Saturday Night Live cast member have called off their short, albeit intense, romance. The stars started dating late this spring and then announced their engagement, like, two weeks later , taking the celebrity gossip and entertainment universe by storm. Most folks assumed Davidson and Grande were moving way too quickly and that the relationship would eventually fizzle out and… well… … that’s pretty much what has happened. “It was way too much too soon,” a source close to Grande tells People Magazine. “It’s not shocking to anyone.” This same source says the decision to go their separate ways was mutually agreed upon by both halves of the famous couple. While the split doesn’t really come as a surprise to anyone at all, there hadn’t been any recent rumors of tension at least. The latest chatter, in fact, has been centered around whether or not Grande was pregnant with Davidson’s child. The comedian himself even joked about knocking Grande up just a few weeks ago, as he and Ariana were certainly very open about the seriousness of their relationship during the four months it lasted. Alas, it is now over. “It happened this weekend,” an insider tells Us Weekly, adding: “They realized it happened too quick and too early. The wedding is off, but they’re working things out. They’re not officially done yet.” It’s unclear what Grande will do with the $100,000 engagement ring Davidson gifted her; and it’s also unclear whether the traumatic death of Grande’s ex , Mac Miller, played any role in the demise of this romance. Over the past several days, it’s been clear that Grande has been going through a lot. The artist has been Tweeting a handful of personal messages and saying she needs a break from the public spotlight, asking at point: “can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls.” Twitter users, meanwhile, reacted in many different ways to the break-up. Some were taken aback. Some were delighted. Others yawned over how clear it was to see it coming. “am i surprised that pete and ariana broke up? no. but am i supposed to be happy about that? no. imagine how she is doing right now,” wrote one person, while another added: “if you’re celebrating ariana and pete splitting, you don’t care about ariana’s happiness. Bye.” Back on September 7, Miller died of a drug overdose. He and Grande dated for about two years and didn’t split up all that long before Ariana got together with Davidson. “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,” her team said in September. “She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.” This Saturday, Grande also canceled a scheduled performance, at F–k Cancer’s inaugural Barbara Berlanti Heroes fundraising gala, where her manager Scooter Braun’s wife Yael Cohen Braun received an honor for her work as co-founder of the group. Said Braun in front of the crowd: “One of the most amazing things about this organization is that they help people when they’re having the worst moments in their life, and they give sympathy and a calm nature to people in need in those moments. “And you saw your invite, someone I’m very close to was supposed to come sing for you today, and because of things that she’s going through, she couldn’t be here today. “And while I was frustrated, being the manager, my wife, being who she always is, just looked at me and she goes, ‘She needs this time.'” We continue to wish Ariana the best. And now Davidson the best as well.

Michigan Man Shoots At Black Teen Who Rang His Doorbell Asking For Directions To School [Video]

On April 12, 14-year old Brennan Walker missed his bus to school and decided to ask a neighbor for help with directions. According to reports , Walker decided to walk up to the front porch of 53-year old Jeffrey Zeigler ’s home in Rochester Hills, Michigan and footage shows the teen scurrying away a few moments later after Zeigler came out with a shotgun and fired two shots at him. Zeigler, who is currently on trial for the incident, said in court that he wanted to fire more up in the air, but it was slippery. He added that it wasn’t until he watched the surveillance video that he realized the person who came to his porch was a 14-year-old boy. However, his wife’s testimony had a slightly different tone: “I saw a black person standing at my door and I screamed at him and I asked him what he was doing there. He tells me that he is going to school and at that point he approaches the door, forward momentum, comes forward, opens the screen door, and puts his hand on the door handle again, as though he’s coming into my house.” Zeigler, a retired firefighter, was charged with assault with intent to murder, which could lead to life in prison.

Catelynn Lowell: SLAMMED By Fans For "Selfish" and "Unsafe" Behavior

Catelynn Lowell has endured a number of hardships and setbacks in recent years, and the honesty with which she's addressed these struggles has made her a favorite amongst Teen Mom OG viewers. But the show documents every part of its stars' lives, so perhaps it was only a matter of time before fans began to see aspects of Catelynn's character that they didn't find quite so endearing. Many feel that the current season of Teen Mom OG has portrayed Catelynn in an unflattering light. Some have even accused of her endangering her unborn baby. Here's what viewers have to say about the new and not-so-improved Catelynn Lowell:   1. Better Days For years, Lowell was regarded as one of the most down-to-earth and relatable stars of the Teen Mom franchise. 2. Hard Times Fans rooted for her as she endured mental health issues, a tragic miscarriage, and other hardships that put her marriage and her psyche to the test. 3. The Baltierra Bond Catelynn and Tyler have endured difficulties that would have driven any young couple to the brink of divorce, but they’ve stuck by one another throughout. Or have they? 4. An Uneven Partnership Part of the reason Catelynn is receiving so much blowback this season is that viewers believe she’s failing to properly support Tyler the way he’s supported her in the past. 5. The Low Point In the past, Tyler happily assumed the majority of the parental responsibilities while Catelynn checked in for extended stays at in-patient treatment facilities on two separate occasions. 6. Failing Her Family? Now, some fans feel that Catelynn is not only neglecting her husband’s needs as he attends to his own mental health issues, she’s also failing to keep up with her own treatment. Brian Kemp Launches Crazy Accusation At Stacey Abrams After Getting Caught Trying To Steal Election

Continue reading here:

G eorgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp fired off a ludicrous accusation against Stacey Abrams on Thursday, as he also announced under pressure that his office would allow scores of mostly Black voters to cast a ballot on Election Day. See Also: Georgia Removed Scores Of Voter From Its Rolls As Stacey Abrams Tries To Make History, Lawsuit Says Kemp, a Republican, oversees voter registration and elections as secretary of state. He’s also the GOP’s nominee for governor and is running against Abrams. She’s attempting to make history as the nation’s first African-American female governor. They are locked in a very tight race. His office had placed more than 53,000 voter registration applications on hold—about 70 percent of them from African-Americans, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday. The AP report created a firestorm of criticism against Kemp, who’s backed by President Donald Trump . Kemp denied any wrongdoing. Nevertheless, in a tweet on Thursday morning, Kemp said the 53,000 registrants would be allowed to vote. He also accused Abrams of manufacturing “outrage off a problem she created” and using fear to raise campaign funds. The 53,000 Georgians on our pending list can vote this fall. Abrams is afraid to run on her extreme record so she manufactures outrage off a “problem” she created. She uses fear to fundraise and liberal billionaires continue to bankroll her corrupt enterprise. #gapol #gagop pic.twitter.com/UQpdurabG5 — Brian Kemp (@BrianKempGA) October 11, 2018 At issue was Georgia’s “exact match” law, which requires information on voter registration forms to exactly match the registrant’s ID information. Applications are put on hold, for example, if a registrant’s name appears on a driver’s license with a hyphen but the hyphen is missing on the registration application. Making matters worse, registrants are usually clueless about the reason election officials rejected their application. A new poll shows that Kemp has a nominal two-point lead over Abrams. The Black voters among the 53,000 registrants at issue could easily push her over the top. Meanwhile, voter rights advocates are keeping a close eye on Kemp. “We sued Brian Kemp in #Georgia over his discriminatory exact match scheme in 2016 and won. We will not stand by idly while GA lawmakers resurrect this discriminatory policy again,” The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law tweeted on Thursday .
