I needed a hair pickme up. While I love my natural hair and black zig-zag coils, I wanted to tjuz up my look and head into the Fall/Winter season in style. I admit, coloring my hair is something I find a bit intimidating. I worry about the health of my natural hair and if the chemicals will weaken it, or worse, make it fall out. I’ve used Mayvenn Hair before to achieve this fab NYFW look , so I was excited to try their latest product. No surprise, it didn’t dissapoint. Mayvenn released this red-burgundy hair with purple undertones and it is HOT. When I took the hair to my hairdresser to install, she instantly fell in love. “ What hair is this? ” she cooed. The hair is soft and and the closure hair actually matched the bundle (something that I’ve had problems with in the past). One of my favorite things about this hair is that it looks and feels expensive, but it’s actually affordable. My 18″ loose wave bundle cost $84.00 and I had two for my install plus a $99.00 14″ loose wave closure. No matter where I went, I always received compliments. People were most enthralled by the color. It’s so unique with it’s purple-burgundy hue. The hair definitely made me feel sexy and you will definitely stand out from the crowd and look like the fashionista you are. I wore the hair for 6 weeks and am letting my natural hair breathe but the minute I took it out, I wanted to put it right back in. Keaton Jones has gone viral for the most unfortunate of reasons. Only a middle school student, this young Tennessee native has recorded a video in which he addresses the bullies who have been harassing him at school and asks a simple, heartbreaking question: WHY? Why are you doing this to me, he says below? Why would anyone treat another human being in this manner? “Just out of curiosity, why do they bully? What what's the point of it?” Keaton asks in this footage, talking his mother after he asked to pick him up because he was afraid to go to lunch. “They make fun of my nose, they call me ugly,” he adds. “They pour milk on me and put ham down my clothes…” It's truly heartbreaking to watch. The one positive that has come out of the video, however, is that word has spread. The recording has been shared thousands of times across various social media platforms, reaching celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Eva Longoria, Sean Hannity and many others. “Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to 'em?” Keaton says. “It's not okay…People that are different don't need to be criticized about it. It's not their fault.” At one point, Keaton even summons the strength to address other victims of bullying. “If you are made fun of, just don't let it bother you. Stay strong, I guess. Source: Jason LaVeris / Getty Tonight’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta picks up in San Francisco from when NeNe and Porsha were having a verbal sparring match over dinner. It gets so bad that NeNe makes Porsha cry. You know Nene goes as low as possible, and of course, she brings up the Kandi incident again. Marlo whisks NeNe away and the other women, except for Sheree, follow. Sheree stays behind to comfort Porsha, who really has no other allies in the group at this point. It’s due to Kandi-gate, but also because the other women generally feel like Porsha never owns up to her ish. That point seems true when Porsha starts telling Sheree that she feels like they’re bullying her and that they’re coming at her “for being Porsha.” via GIPHY This isn’t going to get resolved anytime soon. The next day, the group got together to go on an excursion. Porsha shows up, but NeNe decides to channel Cardi B’s line, “If I see you and I don’t speak that mean I don’t f–k with you,” and keeps it moving. Kandi also keeps her distance, as usual. On the bus on the way to their excursion, Kenya gets sad because she’s reminded that she has to leave early to go bury her grandmother. Then Porsha gets emotional and walks away in tears. Porsha claims that she recently lost her uncle and is triggered by Kenya’s loss. She really wishes these group of women did actually support each other. Cynthia follows Porsha and offers some words of comfort. Basically, Cynthia and Sheree seem to think there’s hope that NeNe and Porsha can at least be cool again. The ladies split up and NeNe is with Kenya, Kandi, and Cynthia, spilling tea about Sheree’s #PrisonBae. According to NeNe, the man is a con artist. It starts off well, with a toast to Kandi for her Essence cover. Kenya has left by this point, so this is the perfect time for them to gossip about her. Basically, Kenya’s marriage situation bothers them because they haven’t met her husband yet. Marlo is the main offender making shady comments, and eventually wanting to play a game where they raise their hands if they really think Kenya is married. Cynthia gets so upset that she walks out because she’s not trying to hear it. NeNe goes to chat with Cynthia, who is off crying. Cynthia just wants them to leave Kenya alone and NeNe talks her off a ledge, and then in a twist of things, makes her realize that she actually also feels some type of way that Kenya is supposed to be her friend, but didn’t invite her to the wedding. So…looks like this season is going to be about everyone constantly harping on Kenya’s mystery man and the wedding they weren’t invited to. If you’re a fan of Artie Lange, then you probably know the beloved comedian, radio personality, and podcast host isn’t exactly Joe Rogan when it comes to clean living. Lange has struggled with addiction and other health issues for most of his adult life, and he’s been refreshingly candid about the toll that a decades-long cycle of rehab and relapses has taken on his body. Now, following a string of canceled gigs and some troubling tweets, fans are worried that Lange’s years of recklessness may soon cost him his life. The 50-year-old canceled a scheduled appearance on his webseries The Artie & Anthony Show this week, and his explanation has sparked serious concern: “The AA show is the best job! I really have the flu. I got a flu shot! I got the flu. Antibiotics are working &I plan on being in tomm. Anthony & I are good on air,” Lange tweeted “Please stick w us. I will make this work! U fans must feel I’m like a loser cousin u tolerate. Thx for that.” Several followers pointed out that antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections, not viruses like the flu. Still, Lange simply may have been mistaken about what sort of treatment he was receiving. The comic initially seemed optimistic about his condition, but later tweets led fans to the conclusion that his illness is more serious than he let on at first: “Doctor seemed worried. Took blood. I promise if I die it will be on the AA show. Howard used to beg me to agree to this! I refused. This is special. I’m willing to put it in a contract. If u think I’m joking u did not see the look on my Drs face,” Lange tweeted yesterday. He elaborated in a way that did little to assuage his fans’ greatest fears: “Also with regards to my appearance. Fans. Followers. (whatever the f-ck ppl call themselves today) I’ve crossed some sort of disgusting line. I will most likely never look good again. The best I can do is try not to make anyone vomit! My body has been ravished by awful living. Thx.” Lange later re-tweeted a follower who suggested that he may have meant that his appearance had been “ravaged.” In an interview with Radar Online, Artie’s mother, Judy Lange, confirmed that his situation is dire: “Artie has to take care of a few things. He’s got diabetes, so that doesn’t help. He’s okay, as much as he can be. But he is fighting addiction — trying to get through that, and hopefully he will,” Judy told the outlet . “He told me he went to the doctors, but I haven’ t received a report yet from him as to what’s going on. So I don’t know,” she added. Lange first checked into rehab back in 1997, when he was a cast member on the sketch comedy series Mad TV. In the decades that followed, he sobered up several times, but slipped back into addiction just as often.
