So hey, you know that thing about how Kate Gosselin is a big ol’ monster? Yeah, you know. Kate Gosselin is honestly just the worst. She’s so rude and unlikable, and we’ve seen her be downright cold to her eight kids time and time again. It’s not a great look. Most recently, Kate caught a lot of criticism for a Halloween photo she shared of the sextuplets . It was cute and all, with two precious pink dinosaurs and three adorable astronauts. But still, there was one thing missing: Collin. For over a year now, Collin has been living away from home in a facility to treat what Kate has described as his “special needs” and behavioral problems . Kate hasn’t gone into too much detail about what those problems are, which is a good thing. After all, the kid is only 13 years old and dealing with all these serious issues, not to mention he has Kate Gosselin for a mother — he’s been through enough. Lots of people are worried about Collin, concerned that Kate isn’t doing the right thing by keeping him away from his family for so long. Then again, lots of people think that as his mother, she knows what’s best for him. Either way though, most of us think that Collin could come home every once in a while, for Halloween or the sextuplets’ birthday or something . According to a new report from Hollywood Life, Jon Gosselin feels that very same way. “The way Kate is handling things with Collin breaks Jon’s heart but he has no say,” a source explains . “She controls everything, it’s her way or the highway when it comes to the kids, including Collin.” “When he saw that Kate left Collin out of Halloween, that his son was missing yet another family celebration, Jon broke down and cried.” Who could blame him? “He hates that she’s doing this to Collin and feels so helpless to stop her,” the insider continues. “He’s praying that the judge will side with him at their next custody hearing.” Yep, you heard that right: we’re in for a brand new Gosselin custody battle here soon! Apparently “Jon’s one and only goal in life right now is getting more time with his kids. He’s doing everything he can to win their next custody battle.” “He’s totally overhauled his life, he’s even back working a regular job again.” What is he doing, full-time stripping ? Is he an Ed Hardy spokesman? The possibilities are endless! However, the source says that he’s actually an I.T. administrator these days, and that “it’s a good job with decent pay.” “He still loves to DJ and he takes gigs wherever he can but he’s got a regular job now too because he knows that’s what he has to do to get his kids back.” “He’s really hopeful that this will help him get more time with his kids,” the source concludes. For several weeks now, we've been hearing all sorts of rumors about Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian and how they're both pregnant right at this very moment . At this point though, they're not so much rumors as they are facts that are waiting to be officially revealed on the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. All sorts of reputable sources have confirmed the pregnancy news for both ladies, and Kris Jenner hasn't sent her legal team after them — that's how you know. So at this point, we're really just sitting back and waiting for that season premiere to confirm what we pretty much already know. Except during an appearance on Ellen, Kris may have gone ahead and spilled the beans! At one point in the interview, Ellen told Kris “You have lots of pregnant children right now.” Which, you know, is true. “I can feel where this is going,” Kris said. “She's trying to trick me into confirming pregnancies.” Ellen said that she knew she was waiting for Keeping Up with the Kardashians to confirm the news, and Kris laughed “Well, you know I get 10%.” From there, Ellen brought up the new deal the family made with E! — $150 million for five more years of filming. Kris explained that she and her children feel “blessed” to be able to do the show, and that they simply weren't ready to stop filming when their old contract came to a close. Plus, she teased, “You never know what's going to happen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians! Season 15, we're shooting right now.” “Which is when you announce who's pregnant,” Ellen interjected. “Yeah,” Kris confirmed. And there you have it! Sure, she didn't come right out with a specific announcement like “My daughters Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian are both currently pregnant with human babies that they are carrying in their very own bodies.” But again, she's being vague and cute, she's not shutting down any and all pregnancy talk like she definitely would if there was nothing to the rumors. T he Canadian church where Harriet Tubman helped free countless slaves on the Underground Railroad is a “sacred site that should be preserved” in Ontario, said one descendant of the Salem Chapel BME Church’s original 200-member congregation. “The church means everything to me,” said Rochelle Bush , whose forbearer Rev. James Harper was the minister-in-charge when Tubman attended the church in Ontario. “For me, it is an honor to serve the church and to talk about the remarkable people that came before me.” Built in the mid-1800s, the church earned a place in history with Tubman having guided many African-American freedom seekers as part of her abolitionist efforts, according to the church’s GoFundMe page. The house of worship, erected with financial help from local residents, became more significant when it was “dedicated to the Service of Almighty God.” The church was a “place to worship, a meeting house for those seeking refuge from slavery and a hub for abolitionist activity,” Bush explained. The structure has been eroded by weather as well as other natural occurrences during the last 150-plus years. Descendants, including Bush, have been spearheading national historic site restoration efforts in part by setting up the crowdfunding page to essentially keep its history alive. The restoration plans included cable wire or earthquake straps for the church attic and underneath the sanctuary floor to secure the building. After those repairs, construction work for a new municipal building behind the church will begin. They also need to replace a deteriorating front door awning and a few weather-damaged window sills. If the church exceeds its fundraising goal, the surplus will be put towards “painting the outside of the church, the repair of the exterior and interior steps, the roof gable, lower level windows and the gallery and sanctuary floors,” read its GoFundMe page. There is very little government funding available given that the church, with less than 12 members, is privately owned, according to its GoFundMe page. Support of a few local donors and seasonal tour groups helps the church to keep its doors open. Members want to keep the church around for future generations with its storied history. “Today it stands to serve God and to remember the courage and bravery of the mighty freedom fighters such as Tubman, Frederick Douglass and John Brown who graced its sanctuary and holy grounds,” Bush said. While not every lady spends her days gazing forlornly out the window, hoping that a dashing man will come by and sweep her off her feet, that’s still a perfectly acceptable way of finding your happiness. And it looks like happiness has found Lady Gaga. Remember reports that Christian Carino asked Lady Gaga’s father for his blessing to marry Lady Gaga? Well, guess what?! Us Weekly reports that Lady Gaga and Christian Carino are engaged ! So, as we told you back in July, Christian Carino was spending time with Lady Gaga and her family. Not every boyfriend — even serious ones — gets along with his girlfriend’s family, but apparently Christian didn’t have a hard time getting along with Gaga’s family. We were admittedly feeling less than comfortable with the report that he asked Lady Gaga’s father for his blessing to propose to her. There’s a lot about that antiquated custom that speaks of unequal gender dynamics. Basically, we tend to associate that sort of thing with, say, the Duggar fertility cult, where daughters are the property of their father until he agrees to transfer that property to an approved husband. (Gross) But it may be that Christian Carino was just testing the waters and making sure that he wasn’t going to upset Lady Gaga’s relatives and that they didn’t think that he was taking advantage of her somehow. After all, Christian Carino and Lady Gaga started dating back in February. That is not a long time to be in a relationship. Whatever it was, it apparently went over well — because they apparently got engaged over the summer. We hope that news about that breaking didn’t spoil whatever surprise Christian Carino had planned. Us reports that the couple’s current focus is, of course, on Lady Gaga’s health . Lady Gaga has fibromyalgia, which you’ve probably heard about through commercials for prescription medicines if nowhere else. Fibromyalgia is an agonizing illness that causes widespread muscle pain and tenderness. Other symptoms can include fatigue, memory problems, and mood shifts and disorders. Fibromyalgia is a chronic ailment, meaning that it can come and go with flare-ups that are difficult if not impossible to predict. Chronic illnesses absolutely suck, folks. We don’t know how many symptoms Lady Gaga is experiencing with fibromyalgia. Every patient is different. She’s currently focused upon recovery. Honestly, we think that it’s great that Christian Carino and Lady Gaga are engaged even with this knowledge. Unfortunately, a lot of people — whether they’re dating or married — seem to step back when their partner develops an illness. Chronic ailments, in particular, seem to send some loved ones running for the hills. It’s sad, but true. Just look at the suspicious timing of The Weeknd ending things with Selena Gomez . Reports say that he started to lose interest right around when she got her kidney transplant. We’re really rooting for Lady Gaga and Christian Carino, though. Maybe they’ll take that whole “in sickness and in health” thing seriously. Lady Gaga has done so much good for the world. We don’t just mean her music, though good music makes the world a better place just by spreading passion, art, inspiration, and joy. She’s been a prominent proponent of LGBT+ rights from day one, using her voice and platform to stand up for minority rights has done an incalculable amount of good for the world. She deserves good in her life and she deserves love. We just look forward to when she and Christian confirm this with an announcement. But that will come at a time of their choosing.
