Jay-Z Adresses Rumors on New Album Jay-Z is known to remain relatively mum on the headlines about his personal life …even to the point of his wife making an entire album about him cheating and her journey to forgiveness and opting not to say a single word. But uncle Hov let all his feelings fly on his highly anticipated 13th album release, 4:44 . After it dropped at midnight on July 30, fans instantly began dissecting his lyrics and finding perhaps one of his most personal projects ever. Alaskan Bush People Recap: Yes, It’s Cancer

The sad rumor turned into an unfortunate reality on Wednesday night. Following weeks of chatter heading into the final season of Alaskan Bush People, the latest installment of this popular Discovery Channel series confirmed the truth about star Ami Brown… … she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. “Ami started getting sick months ago and we didn’t know what it was, but it changed from the point of ‘something’s wrong’ to ‘something’s wrong ,’” Ami’s husband, Billy, told the camera on this week’s episode. In previews for Season 7 of the show – which centers on a family who has basically cut itself off from civilization and who lives off the land in Alaska – there were hints that Brown was ill. There’s been talk that she was even flown to Los Angeles for treatment. This is what really got folks talking, considering how rarely members of the Browns visit the lower United States. The final set of Alaskan Bush People episodes started filming three months ago. They premiered last Wednesday with a focus on Ami undergoing a biopsy after a number of scans revealed a disturbing mass in her lungs. “Everybody, of course, knows that it will come out good – so we just have to be strong,” said 22-year old daughter Bird last night, trying to remain optimistic as she and her siblings awaited test results. Later on, however, 30-year old Bear went over to a car with a flower for his mom… and noted right away that the news was not positive. His brother, Matt, agreed. He felt the same way. “Seeing mom and dad get out of the car I … kind of already get a feeling that it hasn’t gone too well,” he said, adding: “In one way, I can say that everything in my life has prepared me for this moment. In another way, nothing can.” In the end, it was left to Billy to confirm the family’s worst fears. “Not good. Not good at all,” he told his kids of the exam outcome, explaining as follows: “They’ve got to do some more tests and stuff and what they can see is stage 3 cancer. She could easily be stage 4.” Alaskan Bush People Season 7 Preview: The Biggest Challenge Yet Stage four is the most serious level for a cancer. It typically means the patient does not have a lot of time left. “I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what you’ve been through. I don’t care how old you are. If you hear that your mother has cancer, it’s going to shock you,” said Rain, 14, the youngest of the seven Brown children. “I just wish I could change it somehow. I’m very scared for her,” she added. For Ami, meanwhile, the fear of what will happen to her appeared to be less cumbersome than her concern over the impact this will have on her loved ones. “She doesn’t want to be a burden on someone,” Billy said of his wife. “That’s not Ami. Ami is to take the burden away and take care of everything, but she has to admit to herself that she can’t be that right now. “It’s just time for us to pay it back to her right now, it’s all I think we can do.” To conclude this recap of the latest Alaskan Bush People episode, we’ll leave you with a few words from Ami. Bill and the kids are very loving and supportive. They’re all worried. I tell them, don’t worry. Please don’t worry. Be happy … keep the faith. Good or bad, it’s God’s will and we’ll walk that road. There’s a lot for the kids to experience. I want to be there. I want to hold their babies. I want to hear them laughing … I want to see their eyes wide with enthusiasm as they experience these new things. We’ll continue to tune in each Wednesday night at 9/8c to Discovery and hope that things turn around for Ami. “This is not the end of the road,” said 27-year old son, keeping a hopeful viewpoint and concluding: “It looks like it’s going to be the beginning of maybe a very long, very hard road for everybody. “But we’re just going to have to be stronger than ever and keep up the faith in the good Lord and make it through this.”

Paris Jackson Shares Photo with Michael Jackson, Tattoo Honoring Him

Paris Jackson may be a likeable, spiritual young woman of 19, but it’s clear that her late father’s absence looms heavily in her mind. Fortunately, she has a way of honoring him and expressing herself all at once — and she’s just gotten a new tattoo. Fans also help her to honor him, which is how we get photos that reach across time and space to reunite father and daughter. That’s a fan-edited image of her with her dad. She captioned it: “My angel, my king, my universe. 8 years without you feels like a lifetime.” Her father died on June 25th, so the 8-year anniversary of his passing was just two days ago. Paris is only 19, but the only way to see photos of her recent self with her father is with editing software. That’s all kinds of sad. But incredibly touching for fans to create for her benefit. She also shared a photo of a new tattoo that she’s gotten to honor her late father. She has other tattoos, but despite such a variety, she manages to do them so much more tastefully than you’d think. Not that it matters, since it’s her body to decorate as she wishes. But this latest tattoo is an endearing callback to her dad. You know, as always, the foot people are going to love that picture more than anyone would like. But sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and post a foot photo when it’s relevant. The new tattoo is where it says “Apple Head” on her left foot, as that was an affectionate nickname that Michael’s children had for their dad. In case anyone missed the significance, she included a green apple emoji with her caption, which read: “With every step i take, you lift my foot and guide me forward. love you.” That’s really beautiful. It’s almost impossible to not have boundless affection for Paris Jackson. You know how Prince Harry talked about how nobody wants to be royal because you’re just born into responsibility and celebrity without ever asking for it? Well, Paris Jackson may not need to attend gaudy ceremonies that no longer hold any real governing authority, but she was absolutely born into a famous family and into an overpowering celebrity status that she never could have imagined. But we don’t just like her because she’s sympathetic. She’s an intriguingly spiritual person, and you only need to look through her Instagram to see that. There’s also the (super relatable) detail of Paris Jackson’s fondness for nudity that our wildly uptight society sorely needs. Honestly, Paris Jackson’s had a rough time, with ordinary and extraordinary challenges to overcome. But we’re so impressed by the young woman she’s become. Whether she’s explaining why 13 Reasons Why is harmful or giving internet trolls the smackdown, we’re so glad that she’s around and so willing to share her thoughts and life with the world. If she wanted to be a total recluse, she’d have every right to do so.

Kris Jenner is Still Talking About the Kim Kardashian Sex Tape

It has been 10 years since the Kim Kardashian sex tape his the market. And ever since the star after whom this amateur adult film was named took it raw and nasty from Ray J on camera, her public profile has sky-rocketed, her bank account has grown exponentially and every member of her family has landed on the A-List. All things considered, Kim Kardashian Superstar lived up to its title: Kim Kardashian is now a superstar. Would she have been elevated to this level of fortune and fame if she didn’t let Ray J pound her into orgasmic oblivion and then agree to let the footage be released to the public, in the same way her then-boyfriend’s sperm was released into her you-know-what? We may never know. But no case can logically be made that states the Kim Kardashian sex tape harmed its lead actress, that’s for certain. Unless one listens to Kris Jenner, that is. Appearing as a guest on THR’s Awards Chatter podcast on Monday, Jenner labeled the sex tape “one of the most horrific things that we as a family went through.” As for charges that Jenner was actually behind the leak ? That it was her idea for Kim to make the video and use it to garner the same sort of fame that Paris Hilton attained via her notorious naked footage? “It’s nonsense,” Jenner says. “You know, haters are gonna hate. People are gonna come up with the most ridiculous things.” Come on now, Kris. We’re not saying you definitely did this. But it’s not beyond the realm of comprehension that you would have encouraged Kim to simply have sex with the man she was already dating, and then to film it, in order to catapult your family to its current level of celebrity. It ain’t a ridiculous notion is all we’re saying. Way back in the day, Kardashian reported dropped a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment for distributing the tape, settling at the time for $5 million. But the video continues to sell right up through today and both Kim and Ray J continue to see royalties from it. Which explains why Ray J wants you go to buy it and jerk off to the material. Elsewhere in this same podcast, Jenner addressed the trolls that so often harass her and her family. “There’s definitely a lot of bullies out there,” she said, adding: “The internet is a crazy place. There’s a lot of really miserable, unhappy, terrified, angry, bitter, nasty people out there that don’t have jobs or are hopeless or depressed and sad… “… And they can be a big, fat, important bully by going online and typing a really ugly statement to someone else that they’ve never even met before, that has feelings and a heart.” On this, we actually agree with Jenner. View Slideshow: Kim Kardashian: 19 Reasons Why She Isn’t That Terrible Finally, Kris responded to the exact sort of critique we sort of leveled at her above: that she cares more about her kids’ business interests than their well-being. Here is what she had to say on that topic: “I’m trying to create a business here, and nobody has their best interest like I do. “We all love working together and we love our situation. Why don’t you go worry about your own situation and go get a job yourself?” Hey! Wait! What?!? We have a job, thank you very much. And at least our job doesn’t involve bringing up our daughter’s sex tape all the time. It just involves making fun of you whenever you do so. So there! Flagrantly Foul: Lamar Odom Skewers Stephen A. Smith For Shady Azz Substance Abuse Slander

(WENN) Lamar Odom Blasts Stephen A. Smith For “Jokingly Disparaging” Crack Addiction Stephen A. Smith is backing down from comments he made about Lamar Odom this week, following a response from Odom Saturday. As BOSSIP previously reported, Smith blasted Phil Jackson on the air this week for making poor decisions as the President of the Knicks. Smith specifically said, Jackson’s first executive move was to sign Odom “who was on crack!” SMH. Mind you, he couched it with the comment that he “loves Lamar Odom the person, and God bless him and we’re wishing nothing but the best.” Still… Odom wasn’t going to let Smith off that easy. He got right to business and had his lawyer draft a letter which he posted on twitter with the hashtags #slander #ihopewearebetterthanthis #slander #ihopewearebetterthanthis pic.twitter.com/rcG1mPFTKR — LAMAR ODOM (@RealLamarOdom) June 23, 2017 “Let’s put aside the fact that Lamar passed all the required physicals and medical tests necessary to play in the league,” Odom’s attorney, Saam Zangeneh wrote. “Let us look at what this statement does, not only to Lamar, but to any and all professional athletes that are struggling with addiction.” Mr. Smith chose to jokingly disparage Lamar for having a disease. Mr. Smith chose to shout out the fact that Lamar was sick, and to use his disease as the butt of a joke. To say that his conduct was outrageous and unacceptable does not scratch the surface. Think about the others that are battling addiction. Those that have not had the strength or opportunity to share their struggle like Lamar. Imagine the effect this grotesque statement would have on any young athlete who is privately fighting this disease. To become the punch line of a vulgar joke.” “Since his release from the hospital Lamar has been actively working within the addiction community. On June 20, the day before the show, Lamar traveled to a rehab facility in Davie, Florida. Here he spoke to the patients at Live Free Institute and shared his story with young impressionable minds.“We hope that those at ESPN will actively voice their disdain for Mr. Smith’s inappropriate statement and take the proper action to support those that are fighting this disease. We would hope that your network would use this situation as an opportunity to become more actively involved in this case.” A lot of truths in this right? Do you agree that addiction is a brain diseas and that Lamar shouldn’t be ridiculed for what he’s gone through with drugs? According to US Weekly reports, Stephen A. responded to Lamar’s response, but tell us if this statement, which he issued via ESPN sounds like an apology to you: “Because of my personal affection for Lamar Odom — and only for that reason — I want to return to my comments about something I’ve repeated quite often over the last few days: the flagrant ineptitude that I feel has been on continual display by New York Knick’s President Phil Jackson,” he said in the statement. “My comments were NOT to put any more focus on Lamar Odom’s much-publicized drug use and addiction. He was not the target of my ire,” he continued. “Lamar Odom is simply one of the nicest athletes any of us have encountered, and has always been a gentleman to everyone in NBA circles — including me — which is something I’ve repeated throughout the years.” “That’s why it’s worth repeating: Lamar Odom was not the focus of my ire. My comments were entirely, totally, meant for Phil Jackson. Anyone who loves the NY Knicks, who’ve witnessed what has been transpiring over the last three years, know exactly who I was directing my comments to. And Why!” Do you think Stephen A. entiredly missed Lamar’s point? Does he deserve a fade from Odom and Phil Jackson now?

Rape Culture: Bill Cosby Juror Admits He Didn’t Believe Andrea Constand Because Of Her Attire

Image via Gilbert Carrasquillo/Pool/Getty Juror Admits Andrea Constand’s Attire Affected Credibility In Cosby Case Many were shocked and disappointed when the judge in Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case declared a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a consensus verdict after 52 hours of deliberation. Slowly but surely, anonymous jurors have begun to speak about their thought process and the things they believed about the testimony they heard. One such juror spoke to DailyMail about why he didn’t really believe Andrea Constand’s story. It’s the unfortunate logic of many men when it comes to rape and sexual assault. “She was asking for it.” The juror said: ‘She was well-coached. Let’s face it: She went up to his house with a bare midriff and incense and bath salts. What the heck?’ While this juror would not reveal how he voted, it’s pretty clear from his statements that he likely did not vote to convict Cosby. He specifically felt that she should have gone to Cosby’s home only if she was ‘dressed properly and left the incense in the store’ in reference to a gift she brought him before the alleged assault. A different juror also revealed that the pool used the typical ignorant logic of time-lapse as a reason to disregard Constand’s testimony: ‘That’s hard for me to believe, that I’ve been injured and it takes a year to report,’ the juror said. ‘Whatever the man did, he’s already paid a price and suffered.’ It’s always a bit shocking to hear people say things like this when discussing the rape or sexual assault of a stranger, because it is HIGHLY unlikely that they would use such dismissive logic toward a woman in their family or a female friend. But there you have it, ignorance as usual.
