Source: Star Tribune via Getty Images / Getty Sebastian Telfair Sentencing Turns Into A Scene Sebastian Telfair is heading to prison over the gun charges he racked up in the summer of 2017 and he’s not taking it gracefully at all. On Monday, Telfair was sentenced to 3 and a half years in prison and a complete meltdown over the sentencing ensued. The father began crying, foaming at the mouth while screaming in defense of himself. According to Daily Mail, he yelled: ‘Please don’t take me from society right now,’ Telfair told the court. ‘I am 34. I can go play in China for six years and take care of my family. I’m waiting for my daughter right now to get her period. Real mental illness because I wasn’t around… She hasn’t even gotten her period yet.’ The ex-NBA star was accused by officers of possessing three loaded handguns, a submachine gun, extended magazines, ammunition, and a ballistic vest. The officers also claimed to have smelled the scent of marijuana coming from his vehicle and a “roach” or smoked piece of weed was said to be found in the car as well. Telfair denied being in possession of drugs during his outburst. ‘I’m being convicted on perjury. Your honor, I swear he took it out his pocket. Nobody was smoking right there. Nobody was smoking your honor. What my community gonna do? We’ve been doing basketball classes for 15 years. Don’t let them do this to me.” He was completely devastated from the clip. Source: Ethan Miller / Getty Lonzo Ball’s NBA career hasn’t lived up to what his dad LaVar Ball hyped up to be yet, but he’s making the most of it. The latest addition to the New Orleans Pelicans via trade showed off his new tattoo sleeve, and it’s a homage to Black History’s biggest icons. The Pelican’s point guard is letting the world know he appreciated all that those before him have down. At the same time, acknowledging there is more work to be done. The tattoo was done by Southern California tattoo artist Steve Butcher who shared the finished product to his Instagram page. The Black History collage features our forever President, Barack Obama, MLB legend Jackie Robinson, Civil Rights icons Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr.and Malcolm X. For the finishing touch, he also added the late Nipsey Hussle’s favorite slogan #TheMarathonContinues . Over the weekend, the world was stunned when Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus separated after only about eight months of marriage. Now, Liam is releasing his first-ever official, solo statement about the breakup. You can tell that he’s still reeling from the split. Their relationship has lasted, off and on, for a full decade. It’s understandable that he’s deep in his feelings. The 29-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about this incredibly personal, difficult subject. “Hi all,” Liam’s caption begins. “Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated,” he confirms. (Wouldn’t it be wild if someone found out from that post and had totally missed the news for the past several days?) “And,” Liam continues. “I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.” Liam goes on to emphasize that “this is a private matter.” “And,” he reveals. “I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets.” Now that is very interesting to hear, as we’ll explain in a moment. “Any reported quotes attributed to me are false,” Liam insists. He then concludes his caption with a warm: “Peace and Love.” That’s interesting, because a report recently claimed that Liam had spoken to an entertainment news correspondent. “You don’t understand what it’s like,” Liam allegedly said to the reporter. He is said to have then insisted: “I don’t want to talk about it, mate.” That sentiment is extremely understandable. But it sounds like Liam is claiming that he never said those words to any journalist. Miley released her own vague statement on social media in the wake of the couple’s separation going public. “Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win,” Miley wrote. She continued: “Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa , change is inevitable.” “The Dolomites were not created over night,” Miley remarks. “it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.” The Dolomites are, of course, a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. An official rep for the erstwhile couple also released an official statement. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” the statement began. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” the rep continued. “They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share,” the statement affirmed. ‘”While lovingly taking this time apart,” the rep concludec. “Please respect their process and privacy.” Miley and Liam began dating in 2009, and first became engaged only a few years later. Clearly, this is hadly the first time that the two have split — one of their breakups was famously the inspiration for “Wrecking Ball.” Many fans had hoped that their getting married meant that they had worked out any issues, but apparently they hadn’t tackled everything . And the story of their separation has only been complicated by Miley Cyrus gal pal-ing around with Kaitlynn Carter . View Slideshow: 21 Most Stunning Splits in Celebrity History
Amber Portwood has seen her share of ups and downs over the years. But these days, it's all downs for the troubled Teen Mom OG star. In July, Amber was arrested on domestic violence charges . Now, new episodes of the show are shedding light on just how bad things got between Portwood and her most recent ex, Andrew Glennon. It's not pretty, but Teen Mom drama rarely is. Take a look: 1. A Happier Time Amber and Andrew were never an ideal couple, but we’re just now learning how ugly their situation was in the final days of their relationship. 2. Opening Up In the past, Amber has been praised for her candor with regard to her struggles with mental illness. 3. Avoiding Accountability? But she’s also been accused of using her diagnosis to justify her most appalling behavior, a tendency the cameras seemed to have captured on Monday night’s episode. 4. Road Rage One scene showed Andrew driving Amber to an appointment with her psychiatrist. Sounds uneventful — but when Amber’s involved, there’s sure to be drama. 5. Sharing Her Truth “Because I struggle with bipolar and borderline personality disorder, I sometimes have mood swings and that can be tough on my relationship,” she said in a confessional segment at the start of the show. 6. Not Returning the Favor “Andrew has always been supportive of me, but I want him to better understand what I go through on a daily basis,” she added. View Slideshow
Ashley Martson has clearly done a lot of soul-searching, self-care, and healing since Jay cheated on her with six side hoes . The repeated humiliations were a lot to endure, but now she’s focusing on what matters: her family. In fact, Ashley has even shared an ultra-rare photo of her kids as she spends quality time with them. Take a look: Over the weekend, Ashley Martson shared a photo of herself with her two children. Hands clasped together, they walked along the Ocean City Boardwalk. “It doesn’t get any better than this,” Ashley captions the image. Her tags include: “#fam, #momlife, #beach.” As always, Ashley’s children are not facing the camera as part of her efforts to shield them from her 90 Day Fiance fame. One follower asked why they couldn’t see her children’s faces. “I don’t post their faces. I wouldn’t ever,” Ashley replied. “I want them to stay private. That’s why you don’t see much of them.” “Where is Jay?” asked another — someone either woefully out of the loop or simply trolling. Ashley fired back with the perfect reply: “I’m sorry, who?” “You are a emotional strong, beautiful woman,” praiseda fan. “Don’t let a piece of crap run you down.” “Thank you!” Ashley gushed. “He got me for a little but mommas back and better than ever.” “You are such a beautiful and strong parental figure, I hope you all had an amazing time together,” praised another follower. “Your health and kiddos are first,” affirmed a fan. “You don’t need the added stress of a player in your life.” “Keep doing you boss lady, single moms get all the scrutiny and have to be tough as nails,” characterized another. That same comment continued: “I am a huge fan! You are a great mom and beautiful person.” “I wish you the best… I wanted you to be happy with Jay,” expressed a follower. The comment continued: “I am sorry you got so hurt. Better you didn’t waste more years on him. God bless….take care of yourself and your family,” “Youre goodlooking and smart Ashley,” praised another fan. “You need to meet a man!” They suggest: “Someone with education and a good job and is stable!!! No more little boys! You need to be wined and dined no more kiddy s–t!” Counterpoint: Jay is a 21-year-old adult and women are allowed to be cougars and still expect fidelity. “Your health and kiddos are first,” emphasizes another follower. “You don’t need the added stress of a player in your life,” the comment affirms. “My wife has Lupus and Stress causes a lot of flare ups for her too.” “I was annoyed with on the show when you called the police to have jay deported,” admited a follower. They clarified: “Not because you wanted him deported – but because it was a petty waste of police’s time.” “That being said,” the comment concluded. “I do actually thing you are one of the smartest girls on the show.” “You don’t take anyone’s shit and lay down like a doormat when someone pisses you off,” instructed a fan. The comment added: “I hope you are free of the show now and can do and say what you want!” Now that Jay Smith is out on bail and living it up with his girlfriend, Ashley hopes that he’ll be more respectful of this and future women. That said, she doesn’t want anyone livin in denial about Jay’s immediate future. She doesn’t yet know the date, but she fully expects that Jay will still be deported to Jamaica. It seems that it’s only a matter of time. That said, 90 Day Fiance fans have been bandying theories about how Jay might scheme to stay in America — with the help of his girlfriend. Source: Lucianna Faraone Coccia / Getty Tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood picks up from Apryl and Moniece’s face-off [*cough* over Fizz]. Moniece says she doesn’t want Fizz, but it seems like she’s jealous of Fizz and Apryl’s relationship, or whatever it is they’re doing. In fairness, Moniece is also upset because Apryl and Fizz have been making moves with her son Cam, like going on a family trip to Chicago, without telling her. That’s actually valid. Apryl still denies that she and Fizz are a thing. Basically, we’re still in the lying phase. But anyway, they manage to get past the hostility and apologize to each other for their respective transgressions. This is clearly not over. But for now, they make amends and even decide to support each other when it comes to their music. Apple Watts is back. She’s the resident stripper-tryna-be-a-rapper. Every Love and Hip-Hop city has to have at least one. Anyway, she’s still working on her music but she isn’t affiliated with the manager she had last year, and definitely not that man who pretended to be her father. Now she’s seeking guidance from Yoyo, who has taken on the role of rap mentor April’s mentor through the literal Yoyo School of Hip-Hop. Next, we find a heartbroken Lyrica is kicking it with Princess and her best friend, Sia. This is the aftermath of Jason Lee leaking that info about A1 cheating with Summer Bunni while Lyrica was pregnant. Lyrica is in tears as she laments how hurt she was. Princess chimes in and says she caught Ray J “headed in that direction” when she was pregnant so she empathizes. Lyrica has A1’s phone number blocked at the moment but he has a show coming up and Sia suggests they run up on him. That’s not this episode, but it’s coming. Now we’re back at the Yoyo School of Hip-Hop. Yoyo thought she was going to connect Apple Watts and Summer Bunni, not knowing what was about to happen. Basically, Apple Watts was down with meeting Summer at first, but then she recognized who Summer was. Apple and Lyrica are cool, so Apple immediately calls her out and goes into fight mode. They go back and forth for a second, but you know security got this. Apple gets removed but she’s outside yelling about how she wants to deliver Compton Fists of Fury to Summer Bunni. Meanwhile, Summer is standing with Yoyo, going back and forth between crying and yelling back at Apple. Yoyo is telling Summer to pull it together because she’s going to have to deal with a lot worse as her career progresses. Blacc Chyna is in the studio with Brittany and they’re planning her music. The real point of this scene is for Blacc Chyna to encourage Brittany B to work on her relationship with her mother since they both have toxic moms in common. Brittany isn’t too sure about that though because she’s still dealing with the trauma from her mother’s crackhead-ish behavior over the years. But we’ll get back to this next episode. Let’s fast forward a bit. Now we’re at a party or showcase, or something. We find Misster Ray with Summer Bunni and Yoyo. We’re not sure if Apple is coming, but she probably is, because, Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood , but Yoyo mentions that Summer Bunni needs to be ready in case Apple shows up. Summer starts getting all teary-eyed again talking about how what happened the other day with Apple wasn’t called for and she’s tired of people putting stuff in #TheBlogs about her and calling her a homewrecker when they don’t really know her, yatta yatta. Yoyo tells her to snap out of it, once again, then Ray J and Princess walk in. You already know that Princess ain’t feeling Summer on behalf of Lyrica. And then…Lyrica waltzing in with Apple. That’s how the episode ends tonight. But it’s going down next week because Lyrica and Summer Bunni are going to have a war of words. Some TV shows manage to keep fans happy for the entire time they are on the air. Others, not so much. These 13 TV shows rubbed the fans the wrong way on more than one occasion. It probably explains why most of them are no longer on the air. 1. The Walking Dead The Negan storyline was a big deal. The moment it was teased that this comic book character was making his entrance into the TV iteration, everyone seemed excited … until he started killing off series regulars. Killing off Glen and Abraham on the Season 7 premiere in brutal fashion resulted in several complaints about the series. It never recovered in the ratings. 2. Arrow Oliver and Felicity broke up at least twice per season. The reasons for why got more ludicrous as the years went on, but still, many fans stopped watching the show in protest at just how many times this couple’s relationship was used to advance a series that was supposed to be about a superhero. 3. Empire When Empire arrived on the scene, it was bursting with the soapy goodness that TV viewers had been craving since Desperate Housewives went off the air. The show was an immediate hit for Fox, but the producers thought it would be a good idea to bring in several celebrities for guest appearances, and it took away from the escapism that the show was offering viewers. The ratings took a huge hit as viewers complained about the stunt casting. 4. The 100 The 100 was going from strength to strength until about halfway through its third season. The powers that be thought it would be rad to kill Lexa off … just as she and Clarke solidified their relationship. It did not go down well. 5. The Vampire Diaries Elena will always be remembered as one of the most crucial characters on The Vampire Diaries — even if Nina Dobrev quit two years ahead of the final season. The show was not the same without her, and the ratings circled the drain. It would have been better to just end the show in a strong way after the sixth season. 6. Game of Thrones For a show that will be remembered for decades after its finale, you would think the creative forces would have been able to craft a coherent final season. Instead, it was drivel, prompting fans to launch a petition to get the final season remade. It has clocked almost 1.8 million signatures. Wowza. View Slideshow
