Anchorman 2 Poster: The Mustache Has Arrived!

At this point, we’re so excited about  Anchorman 2 that  any updates are awesome updates. Even if it’s just a close-up of Ron Burgundy’s mustache. Scratch that.  Especially if it’s just a close-up of Ron Burgundy’s mustache. Check out the new Anchorman 2 teaser poster : Will Ferrell returns to the role of Ron Burgundy in the comedy sequel, with Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate rounding out the Channel 5 News Team. Fred Willard, Chris Parnell, Luke Wilson, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, John C. Reilly, and Harrison Ford will also appear in the long-awaited sequel. Anchorman 2 will hit theaters December 20. It’s kind of a big deal.

Men In Black 4: It’s Coming!

Ah, the franchise. It’s brought us such amazing films as  Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides ,  Transformers 3 , and  Scary Movie 5 . Now, another franchise is capitalizing on its immutable success, as Sony has announced it is moving forward with  Men in Black 4 . Unknown writer Oren Uziel has been hired to pen the script. No word yet on whether the franchise’s stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will return, or whether the franchise will go the  Bourne direction and center on new characters. Also no word on whether Barry Sonnenfield, who directed the first three films, will return.

Track Team Disqualified Over Runner’s Gesture to God

What seemed like an innocent gesture had major consequences, as the Columbus High School Mighty Cardinals track team thought they won the 4×100 relay, and a chance to move on to State. The team won by 7 yards, but Derrick Hayes’ skyward point led to a disqualification. The runner was gesturing in thanks to God, but the point counted as ” excessive celebration ,” which is against the state scholastic rules. Many in the town, including the runner’s father, think it is a violation of religious freedom to outlaw the gesture, but the school insists that it is not banned because it is religious, but because it is celebratory. What do you think? Is banning a gesture thanking God a violation of religious freedom?

Still, if you’re not gonna go all the way with the reenactment, what’s the point? Everybody knows Sharon Stone didn’t become famous just for sitting cross-legged in a chair.

Doug Gottlieb Cracks Awkward "White Man" Joke on CBS Pregame Show

Well, this was awkward. During a segment of CBS’ college basketball pregame show tonight, Doug Gottlieb was asked for his opinion on something related to the NCAA Tournament and – surrounded by Greg Gumbel, Greg Anthony, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley – cracked: “I’m just here to bring diversity to the set here. Give the kind of white man’s perspective on things from the point guard position.” Did the quip go over well? Not exactly… Doug Gottlieb White Man Joke When asked via Twitter about the random comment, Gottlieb defended it as a “joke.” But do you think he was really kidding? Or actually felt out of place in some way?

I have no clue what the hell Skullcandy is, apparently they sell headphones and have this series called Take A Supermodel To Work . But as long as they’ve got Kate Upton working for them, I’m obviously interested. Still, I think they missed the point here. They tried to make some funny promotional video with Kate, when they should’ve just had her sexy dancing in headphones for the full 3 and a half minutes instead. It’s OK, just a rookie mistake. I’m sure they’ll get it next time.
