Step one is accomplished: Lamar Odom has reportedly returned home and is living again with Khloe Kardashian. The basketball star had allegedly gone missing last week, though various source claims Khloe was aware of his whereabouts all along and was desperately trying to help with a purported drug problem. Either way, no reports disputed the fact that Khloe had kicked Lamar out of their home because he refused to seek treatment for a crack cocaine addiction . But insiders now confirm to TMZ that Odom moved back into his Los Angeles home yesterday. It’s unclear where his relationship with Khloe stands, but at least he is now “open to reason,” a source says, and “listening to the people who love him the most.” So a lot has changed in a few days regarding Odom’s outlook and we can all hope he soon realizes that serious help is required. Numerous NBA stars have also reached out to Odom (we know Kevin Durant wished him well in a brief interview last week), but Lamar is supposedly keeping largely to himself. Still, he’s “receptive” to treatment and the Kardashians are looking at this as a positive step. Is Lamar Odom on Crack?
Sharolyn Jackson, a 50-year-old West Philadelphia woman, recently turned up alive 13 days after her funeral and 27 days following her “death.” As you can imagine, this came as a bit of a shock to her family. Woman Turns Up Alive 13 Days After Her Funeral According to CBSPhilly KYW-TV, the bizarre saga began earlier this summer after Jackson was reported missing from her West Philadelphia home. Police found a body that matched Sharolyn’s description, and two people, including her son, identified it as hers; Jackson thus “died” on July 20. A funeral service was held on August 3. Only 13 days later, Jackson was found alive at a mental health facility, a stunning twist made even more surprising by the fact that her son ID’d her. “The gold standard here [for identifying a body] is visual identification by a family member,” Philadelphia Health Department spokesman James Garrow said. Because of that, his dubious mistake was taken as fact. While the family’s trial-run grieving process is over, the question of how she will be “brought back” from the dead logistically remains to be seen. As does this separate, and over-arching new mystery: Who is actually buried under Jackson’s tombstone?
This ninja stays catching a break. Too Short Avoids Jail Time Too Short needs to pull a Chris Brown (if he can) and buy his lawyer a Lambo for saving his azz. According to TMZ Too Short won’t be locked away after trying to run from cops during his crazy DUI arrest … after cutting the SWEETEST deal of all time, TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story … Too Short was popped in L.A. back in March on suspicion of DUI — but during the arrest stupidly fled from cops. He was chased down and taken to jail, where cops say they found Ecstasy in the back of the police cruiser. Short denied it was his. The rapper was slapped with SEVEN different charges, including: resisting arrest, DUI with .08 BAC or higher and possession of drugs. Tuesday, Short’s lawyer Keith Davidson did the impossible … Short pled no contest to driving with a BAC of .08 or higher and in exchange, all the other charges were DISMISSED. Yeah. It’s not uncommon for first time offenders to get off easy — but Short’s deal is really incredible because he has multiple prior DUI arrests. As for punishment … Short was sentenced to 3 years probation, fines and alcohol education classes. Hopefully, he can stay out of trouble.
Dayum . Girl Gets Jaw Broken On Tour Bus It’s never cool to hit a female. According to TMZ 12:25 PM PT — A rep for T.I. tells TMZ, the incident did NOT occur on T.I.’s bus … in fact, the rapper was not even aware of the incident. Which leaves two other possibilities. More drama for the Lil Wayne/2 Chainz/T.I. tour buses — law enforcement sources tell TMZ, a female fan says she was invited on board one of the vehicles after the show in OKC this week … and an entourage member punched her in the face, breaking her jaw. The alleged attacker isn’t named in the police report — but the victim says her jaw was broken in two places … and the damage is so bad she required surgery to repair it, and her jaw is now wired shut for six weeks while it heals. The victim says she’ll be on a liquid diet for the entire time. Here’s the story … the victim told police, the unidentified entourage member had been hitting on her during the concert … and invited her on board one of the rappers’ buses after the show. The victim says she took the guy up on his offer — but when she showed up with her girlfriend, he stuck his hand down her shirt and grabbed her breast. The victim says she slapped his hand away and he turned around and punched her in the jaw, sending her flying out of the bus door. She says she landed on her back on the pavement with blood pouring out of her mouth. According to the police report, the entourage member ran off, and the victim was taken to the hospital. A rep for the Oklahoma City PD tells TMZ, the incident is under investigation. So far, no arrests have been made. FYI, the incident allegedly occurred just hours before police searched 2 Chainz’ tour bus for drugs … and arrested the rapper. This is messed up if it did happen…ladies stay away from those tour buses. We smell a lawsuit. Continue reading →
Here is something we can’t understand… How could they just kill this man? The conservative media is going to have a field day with this one. 2 black teens are suspected of beating an 88-year-old war veteran to death for no apparent reason . Via CNN reports : Delbert Belton, a retired aluminum company worker, served in the Pacific. There, friends say, he took a bullet in the leg during the Battle of Okinawa. But Wednesday night, Belton — affectionately called “Shorty” by friends for his height — headed to the Eagles Lodge where he was a regular. Police found him in the parking lot, with serious head injuries. He died Thursday. “It does appear random,” Spokane police Lt. Mark Griffiths told reporters. “It appears he was assaulted in the parking lot and there was no indication that he would have known these people prior to the assault.” The randomness of the two attacks was not lost on Ted Denison, who’s been friends with Belton for a long time. The two men met more than 20 years ago and worked on cars together. “We were mechanic buddies,” the 42-year-old Denison said. “We just kind of kicked right along… We went dancing on Saturday nights,” Denison said. “We went out to breakfast together.” Belton stopped by the Eagles Lodge two or three times a week. He played pool, but by his own admission, wasn’t too good at it. “He went up there and played pool, met with some of the guys he used to work with at Kaiser Aluminum,” where he was employed more than 30 years, Denison said. His wife died several years ago. The WW II vet is survived by a son, 65. Wednesday night, Denison was outside the lodge waiting for a friend because he didn’t want her to walk home alone, Lillian Duncan told the Spokesman-Review newspaper. “He was so awesome,” Duncan told the paper. “Anybody that didn’t get to know him missed out on a wonderful angel in their life.” Police are looking for two suspects. Witnesses described them as “young African American males of average build,” according to a police statement. What is with these teenagers picking folks at “random” for brutal murkings? The saddest part, besides Delbert’s death of course, is that these ain’t isht thugs are definitely making life harder for the Trayvons of the world. Everybody ain’t like this, but you know people are looking for any excuse to justify their fear of the black man. SMH. We hope they catch these a$$holes ASAP. Rapper 2 Chainz was one of 11 people arrested after refusing to get off a tour bus for following a traffic stop in Oklahoma City early this morning. Chainz and crew reportedly did not exit the bus for nine hours. The bizarre incident took place after the 35-year-old rapper performed with Lil Wayne and T.I. in Oklahoma City last night, then left town on the bus. Police stopped 2 Chainz’s tour bus around midnight near I-40 because of an illegal taillight and noticed drug use, though they wouldn’t say which. That’s when the unexpected police standoff began . The driver was arrested, “but as he got off the bus, the door shut and locked and obviously our officers could not get in there,” Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said. The remaining people on the bus refused to leave it, so officers towed it to a nearby police training facility about four miles away, Wardlow said. Investigators eventually obtained a warrant and all 11 people came off the bus around 9 a.m. They were then arrested on the charge and booked. Wardlow also said investigators found narcotics on the bus, but don’t know to whom those belonged. She said more charges could be filed later. The group was eventually arrested on charges of obstructing a police officer and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on Thursday morning. By this afternoon, all 11 of the accused paid the $2,000 bail and were released from custody, officials confirm. The rapper is also sounding off. 2 Chainz Tweeted, “This sh*t will make u go crazy, our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I need to search ur bus. Sh* gets tiring!” Life is tough for a rapper, getting robbed at gunpoint one day, getting popped at the airport the next, then cops wanting to pose for pics. Brutal. And get this … as he was released from custody, he flipped everyone off in the process, but then also told everyone to buy his album when they get a chance.
Aaron Hernandez was indicted today on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Odin Lloyd, the friend whose body was found near his house. The six-county grand jury indictment charges the former New England Patriots star with killing 27-year-old Lloyd, a semi-pro football player. The indictment against Hernandez also contains weapons charges. Aaron Hernandez Indicted For Murder Lloyd was reportedly dating the sister of Hernandez’s girlfriend, Shayanna Jenkins , whose role in a potential cover-up has yet to be established. Hernandez, 23, pleaded not guilty to murder and weapons charges in June, and he is being held, in solitary confinement, without bail at a county jail. His lawyers have maintained that the case against the former NFL standout is circumstantial and say that he will be able to clear his name. Hernandez signed a five-year, $40 million deal last summer but was cut from the team within hours of his June 26 arrest for the murder of Odin Lloyd. He could face life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors say Hernandez orchestrated Lloyd’s killing because he was upset at him for talking to people Hernandez had issues with at a club days earlier. They say Hernandez and two associates, Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz, picked Lloyd up at his home in Boston, then drove to the industrial park. Shortly before his death, authorities say, Lloyd sent his sister text messages. He asked if she had seen who he was with when he got into the car in Boston. Then he indicated who it was in a way that Lloyd’s family said he knew his sister would understand. “NFL,” he wrote to her. “Just so you know.” Moments later, authorities say, Lloyd was dead after gunshots rang out. He apparently got out of the car for what he thought was a bathroom break. Authorities have not said who fired the shots, but according to court documents, Ortiz told police in Florida that Wallace said it was Aaron Hernandez. Wallace has pleaded not guilty to a charge of accessory to murder. Ortiz has pleaded not guilty to a firearm charge. Both are being held without bail. Despite a massive search effort, and an apparent gun photo , authorities haven’t found the murder weapon, believed to be a .45-caliber Glock pistol. They have recovered a magazine for .45-caliber bullets in his car as well as ammunition of the same caliber inside a condo he rented, however. Police also recovered a shell casing that matched those found at the homicide scene after tracking a rental car Hernandez was in the night Lloyd died. Story developing …
