The original draft of the House Bill 1328 said: “A state agency may not authorize the use of, including granting a permit to use, an unmanned aircraft armed with any lethal or non-lethal weapons, including firearms, pepper spray, bean bag guns, mace, and sound-based weapons.” However, the state’s police union amended the Bill, limiting the ban to only lethal weapons, meaning that sounds cannons or rubber bullets could be used on police drones, according to The Daily Beast. Organization Decides To Be On The Right Side Of Colin Kaepernick’s Protest After Colin Kaepernick took a seat during the national anthem, there were many wondered how the San Francisco 49ers would handle the “distraction.” As it turns out, they’re going to handle it by supporting Kap and putting their money where their mouth is. NFL.com is reporting the 49ers will make a contribution to community groups in the area that “work against social inequality.” via NFL.com The San Francisco 49ers have donated $1 million to a pair of Bay Area community groups that work against social inequality, the team announced Thursday. Niners CEO Jed York made detailed the 49ers’ donation in a statement: “Today, I am committing that the 49ers Foundation will contribute $1 million to the cause of improving racial and economic inequality and fostering communication and collaboration between law enforcement and the communities they serve here in the Bay Area. “We are partnering with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the San Francisco Foundation in this effort. We have chosen to work with these two organizations because they have proven track records of affecting change in the face of challenging problems and have the collective reach to make the greatest impact. Silicon Valley Community Foundation is the largest community foundation in the world, managing $7.3 billion in assets and more than 1,800 philanthropic funds globally. The San Francisco Foundation has served the people of the Bay Area since 1948, almost as long as the 49ers franchise. We are excited to work with these two renowned foundations over the coming months to develop a giving plan to help our community find unifying solutions to these pressing issues.” Both foundations, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, do not have ties to Colin Kaepernick, who has been protesting social inequalities against African-Americans and other minorities in the United States by not standing during the national anthem. The 49ers weren’t the only team to donate to a community organization Thursday. The Green Bay Packers and coach Mike McCarthy each made $100,000 donations to the Green Bay Police Foundation in an effort to enhance community-police relationships. “I’m excited to support the Green Bay Police Foundation and its work to help all the Green Bay communities build those relationships,” McCarthy said. “It’s important so our children can grow, they can invest, and they can project a healthier and safer community. Just ask Carmen Chamblee. This 19-year old resident of Clearwater, Florida was actually caught on surveillance camera setting fire to a car. She thought it was her ex-boyfriend's car. But she was mistaken. Chamblee allegedly used a rag and flammable liquid to start the fire and then tossed in random items to stoke the flame. The Clearwater Police Department arrested the misguided teenager for second-degree arson and booked her to the Pinellas County Jail. It then shared the following video on its Facebook page, along with the following caption: “Remember this arsonist caught on tape last weekend torching a car? She's in custody now. “Thanks to all who called and wrote in with various tips. Chris Brown Arrested For Threatening Woman With A Firearm Yeah…Chris might really need to move to his own island at this point. That whole situation where the swat team turned up to his house after he allegedly threatened a beauty pageant queen has now turned into YET ANOTHER arrest on Breezy’s record. Via TMZ : Chris Brown has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon … a felony. TMZ broke the story … Brown allegedly pulled a gun on a guest at his home early Tuesday morning after an argument … she claims over jewelry. Baylee Curran filed a police report and cops obtained a search warrant. As we reported, while Chris was holed up in his house, he threw a duffel bag out his window that contained 2 guns and drugs. Brown will be taken to the police station for processing. SMH…Chris can’t seem to keep these felony charges off him. Troubling news this weekend for Mariah Carey and her family: The singer’s estranged sister, Alison Carey, was arrested on a prostitution charge in Saugerties, New York on Friday, August 26. Alison Carey is also HIV-positive. According to The Daily Freeman, a local newspaper, Carey approached an undercover police officer outside an unnamed hotel and offered sex in exchange for money. She had allegedly been strolling that area and making this same type of offer for about a week. Carey was also advertising her services through online advertisements, with authorities urging anyone who may have had a sexual encounter with Alison to contact their doctors. Due to her HIV-positive status and everything. During the arrest, Alison reportedly identified herself as Mariah’s sister; later, Saugerties police chief Joseph Sinagra confirmed the claim via an Internet search. Because she used the World Wide Web, some of this evidence is available to the general public.
