Kind-Hearted Server Returns Family’s Life Savings They Lost at Applebee’s There are still good people out there in the world and a few of them are employed at Applebee’s in Fresno, California. A women named Erica Gonzales told The Fresno Bee she and her mom took $32,000, that was her dad’s life savings, to the bank to put in a safe deposit box and the bank told her that they didn’t have space for the cash. After running errands, they ended up at Applebee’s for dinner, leaving the cash by accident in the seat. The Gonzales’ didnt realize the cash was gone until they went home! The server found the money and turn it into the police. Applebee’s said the good Samaritan refused to be identified but “he just wanted to do the right thing” . Good for them! We know that lady’s heart must have sink when she realized that cash was missing. She better thank her lucky stars…
Daniel Holtzclaw Found Guilty Serial rapist Daniel Holtzclaw has been found guilty. The jury deliberated for two days on the fate of the former Ohio officer, who used his position of power to victimize Black women. NBCnews reports that Holtzclaw actually hung his head and cried as the jury announced that he had been found guilty on 18 of 36 charges of raping 12 African American women and one young girl. Via NBC Connecticut : A former Oklahoma City police officer was convicted Thursday of rape related to accusations that he victimized 13 women on his police beat in a minority, low-income neighborhood. Daniel Holtzclaw, 29, faces a possible sentence of life in prison because of the conviction. He also faced more than 30 counts, including sexual battery and forcible oral sodomy. The allegations against Holtzclaw brought new attention to the problem of sexual misconduct committed by law enforcement officers, something police chiefs have studied for years. During a monthlong trial, jurors heard from 13 women who said Holtzclaw sexually victimized them. Most of them said Holtzclaw stopped them while out on patrol, searched them for outstanding warrants or checked to see if they were carrying drug paraphernalia, then forced himself on them. Prosecutors said in their closing arguments that many of the accusers have had troubled lives but that the law protects them as much as anyone else. Holtzclaw’s attorney described him as a model police officer whose attempts to help the drug addicts and prostitutes he came in contact with were distorted. Holtzclaw did not take the stand. All of the women are black. Holtzclaw is half-white, half-Japanese. The jury appeared to all be white, though Oklahoma court officials said they did not have race information for jurors. Some supporters of the women questioned whether the jury would fairly judge their allegations. GOOD. Great to see that despite some of our fears, this jury did the right thing. Hopefully they bury this monster beneath the prison, where someone will show treat him the exact same way he treated those 13 women
Today, authorities found the body of 30-year-old Michael Cavallari, older brother of Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari. Kristin posted a touching photo of herself and Michael as young kids, with this message: “My heart is in a million pieces Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh,” Kristin wrote. “You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.” TMZ reports that Michael’s remains were found around 10:30 am local time today in a ” steep and very rocky ” area. “We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found,” Kristin said in a statement to the site. “This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all.” Michael was reported missing three days ago, but his car was found abandoned on November 27th. The San Clemente, CA native has a history of substance abuse, and had a few run-ins with the police this past fall.

According to RawStory reports : A shoplifting suspect fired a gunshot Tuesday evening during a foot chase through a Wal-Mart store in Missouri. Employees said the store was crowded with customers when the shot was fired — which then triggered chaos, reported the Springfield News-Leader. Police confirmed that officers were chasing multiple shoplifting suspects when one of them fired a shot. “A foot chase took place inside the store, and as one of the suspects fled, he fired one round from a handgun,” said Lt. Fred Beck, of Springfield police. “Nobody was injured, nobody was hit, and the suspect fled out the back door.” Two other suspects were taken into police custody during the incident. The store was evacuated immediately after the shot was fired about 7:30 p.m., and it remained locked down for at least two hours. The shooting suspect was described as a white man wearing a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt. We hope they catch him, although it doesn’t seem like cops are too concerned at being shot at by a white guy… One of the employees did seem a bit more perturbed. Police did recently kill a white man, 30-year-old Joseph Tyndall wearing a stolen Joplin, Missouri, fire department uniform last month outside another Wal-Mart store in Springfield. Cops said Tyndall, who had numerous priors, fired a gun at them during a foot chase in the parking lot. Every time we hear of a shooting in Wal-Mart we can’t help but think of 22-year-old John Crawford III, shot dead by police at a Wal-Mart store after another customer reported seeing him carrying a rifle. The rifle turned out to be a toy he picked up in the store, and surveillance video showed the officers fired immediately upon seeing him. You see the difference right?
Chicago Police Search For Man Who Made Baby Smoke Marijuana Do you know this kush smoking baby?? Via The Smoking Gun reports: Chicago police are investigating a video posted to Facebook that appears to show a diaper-clad toddler smoking a marijuana joint as a man off-screen encourages the boy to “Inhale it.” A community activist yesterday tipped cops to the clip, and Special Victims Unit detectives are now trying to identify who filmed the video, according to a Chicago Police Department spokesperson. It is unknown when or where the video–which was posted to the Facebook page of a Chicago resident–was recorded. Seen below, the 17-second clip found on Facebook shows the video playing on the screen of a cell phone, and it includes markings indicating that it may have previously been uploaded to some video sharing site. In the clip, a man’s voice is heard directing the toddler to “Smoke, bro. Inhale it.” The man–who appears to be filming the boy with his cell phone–then says, “Let me hit that, okay?” If investigators succeed in identifying the suspect, he will face assorted charges, including child endangerment. Former Black Cop Suspected Of Faking Racist Letter Wow. This guy is an embarrassment to the race. Like it’s not bad enough for those folks out there actually being discriminated against we got people like this guy making up ish… According to NY Daily News reports : Clive Higgins, 50, of Naugatuck, was arrested Wednesday after investigators said the letter that was sent to Bridgeport Police Department in Connecticut was a hoax. Back in February, Higgins said he found a letter that made several racist statements, including one that black police officers belong in the toilet. The letter, titled “White Power,” was found in several officers’ mailboxes. Suspiciously, the letter was written on official police department letterhead, which is not available to the general public. Higgins surrendered to state police Wednesday morning and was charged with second-degree false reporting of an incident. He was released and is due to appear in Superior Court on Dec. 16, according to Fox 61 News. SMH. What do you think an appropriate punishment would be? We’re guessing homeboy got caught because he used the letterhead AND referred to a case that involved HIM! The letter also referenced a highly publicized case involving three police officers, including Higgins. The officers were caught on camera kicking and beating a man in May 2011. Higgins, a 12-year veteran of the department, was the only black officer involved, and was the only officer acquitted of brutality charges. The other two officers, Elson Morales and Joseph Lawlor, pleaded guilty to federal misdemeanors. They resigned from the department and face up to a year in jail. Chicago Police Make Arrest In Shooting Death Of 9-Year-Old Tyshawn Lee Police announced that they had made an arrest in the death of Tyshawn Lee , a 9-year-old whose alleged gang-related slaying spurred outrage in Chicago. Chicago police detectives made “an arrest in the unspeakable murder,” department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted early Friday. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the person arrested is the one who authorities believe opened fire on young Tyshawn or was involved in some other way. The boy was shot in the face and back on November 2 as he headed to a park down the street from his grandmother’s house to play basketball, the Rev. Michael Pfleger said at the funeral. He was “lured” into an alley in what Chicago police Superintendent Gerry McCarthy called “probably the most abhorrent, cowardly, unfathomable crime that I’ve witnessed in 35 years of policing.” “We’re pretty sure that this is not an accident,” McCarthy said, claiming that the boy was targeted because of his “family relationship with a member of a gang.” “He was not a bystander.” Chicago was called the murder capital of the United States after it registered 503 homicides in 2012, more than any other city. Those numbers have ticked down, though the FBI’s 2014 statistics showing 411 killings still outpaced other cities (such as New York with 333 and Los Angeles with 260) with higher populations. The Auburn-Gresham neighborhood, where gangs battle over turf and the right to sell drugs, and where Tyshawn was gunned down, is among the most dangerous. When will the Chicago violence end?!
