TV Anchor Pissed Off Naomi Campbell

The supermodel Naomi Campbell is known for her often violent outburst. She was furious when a news crew asked about allegations that she received a”blood diamond” from former African Leader Charles Taylor. When confronted about the issue by a news crew from ABC channel, the supermodel angrily said that she didn’t receive a blood diamond and she’s not going to speak about it. After, she stormed off and then punched the camera several times while a producer at the news station was holding it. Charles Taylor is currently on trial for crimes against humanity, after the bloody campaign he carried on in Sierra Leone in the year 1997-2001. A “blood diamond” is also called a “hot or war” diamond. It is a jewel mined in a war zone and was being sold to warlord activity. The former Libyan president Taylor is accused to have given Campbell a huge uncut diamond during her stay as a guest of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. Tory leader David Cameron just laughed after he was hit by an egg while out electioneering for his first campaign. He was struck on the shoulder as he came out from answering students’ questions during a visit in Cornwall College Saltash. The egg was thrown by a student who was also inside the building as the Tory leader was about to walk out. It hit his shoulder and splattered on the jacket of a police officer beside him, while the yolk stained Cameron’s white shirt. The student was arrested and then immediately released after the police established that the student did not have any more missiles with him. Nokia’s First Quarter Profit

dailymobile Nokia Corporation, a Finnish multinational communications corporations –  world’s largest maker of mobile phones, posted first-quarter net profit attributable to equity holders of 349 million euros ($465 million), or 9 European cents a share, up from 122 million euros, or 3 cents a share, earned in the year-earlier period this Thursday. (NOK 13.08, -1.87, -12.51%) (FI:NOK1V 11.28, -0.03, -0.27%) Excluding special items totalling 322 million euros, earnings came in at 14 cents a share compared to 10 cents a share a year earlier on adjusted basis. Sales increased from 3% to 9.52 billion euros. On a sequential basis they fell 21%. The consensus forecast was for earnings of 14 European cents a share on sales of 9.69 billion euros. At the core device and services division, sales climbed 8% to 6.66 billion euros. In the second quarter, Nokia forecast sales at its devices and services division in the range of 6.7 billion euros to 7.2 billion euros and an adjusted operating margin between 9% and 12%. Annie Lennox on being HIV positive

Old rumors are sure hard to dispel. This is what Annie Lennox learned as she appeared on the annual Idol Gives Back show wearing a peculiar “HIV Positive” black shirt. Lennox has been under the radar for HIV positive before because of her strong activism for AIDS awareness. The question has popped up once again as she surprised the world with her “HIV Positive” statement shirt while performing with Arethra Franklin via satellite last Wednesday night. So is she really positive or was everything a ploy to raise more awareness on HIV and AIDS. The answer seemed to be a striking no. While Annie Lennox was unavailable for an interview – she was unable to travel due to the volcanic ash and had to perform via satellite— entertainment insider seemed to believe it as a strategy. She wears the shit because she wanted to help raise awareness and get more attention on the AIDS epidemic. She has done this kind of stunt before and it worked each time. Her trick was timely and apropos as the annual Idol Gives Back show aims to raise money for the African Children born into poverty and HIV/AIDS. Lennox, first gaining international prominence with her band Eurythmics, has produced numerous chart topper singles such as “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) and “Into the West”, written for the original soundtrack to the feature film “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”. Aside from her music career, Lennox is also a staunch advocate and supporter of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. In 2007, Lennox founded the SING campaign. After hearing Nelson Mandela on a speech about the African HIV pandemic, Annie Lennox established her SING campaign wherein the money raised is used to help HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment in South Africa.
