45th AMERICAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS List of Awardees

The 45th AMERICAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS 2010, held in the luxuurious walls of the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas,  was aired on CBS which was hosted by country music legend Reba McEntire. The event was filled with glittering stars. An Earthquake in Central Afghanistan

An earthquake in central Afghanistan killed at leasr 7 people and injured 70 others early Monday morning. The quake, was measured by the U.S. Geological Survey at an alarming 5.3 magnitude, hit about 1 a.m. (4:30 p.m. Sunday ET) and reached three districts in Samangan province, between capital Kabul and the northern city of Mazar-i Sharif. In an interview of the assistant governor Hajji Ghulam Sakhi Baghlani, he stated that the villages were destroyed and the local routes were damaged from the slipping mountain rocks. He also mentioned that there may be an increase in the death toll. It is also possible that there may be people under the debris from fallen houses. Northern Afghanistan Struck By An Eartquake 5.3-Magnitude 7 Killed, 30 Injured.

AP (Kabul, Afghanistan) — Officials said on early Monday, no northern Afghanistan hits by a magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck in mountains north of Afghanistan’s capital, killing at least seven people and injuring 30. According to the province’s deputy governor, Kulam Sakhi Baghlani, the temblor hit just before 1 a.m. (2030 GMT Sunday) in Samangan province, about halfway between Kabul and the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif. Quake waswas felt in Kabul as well as the neighboring countries of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and damaged roads and communications in the area, and casualty reports take time to reach authorities. Three (3) districts of scattered mud-walled villages were affected, with more than 300 homes damaged and dozens of head of livestock killed. Landslides sparked by the quake had blocked roads, making even more arduous what was already an eight-hour drive along winding mountain trails from the provincial capital of Aybak, Baghlani said. Two Explosions During Indian Cricket Championship Game

dawn Two explosions took place during a championship of the Indian Premier League game between Bangalore and Mumbai. The explosion was noted today at gate 12 of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore City, south central of India. According to the reports, nine people were injured in the low intensity blasting.  These people are members of the security personnel and the police team. Though the damage was very minor as to compare with the possible peril it may cause to 40,000 spectators insided the stadium It was initially believed to be an accident but the police suspected that it was otherwise.  Crude bombs are thought to have been used.  According to the Police Commissioner, the explosive material used was probably placed in an unusual location, between a wall and a poster on it. Police have started searching around the cricket championship game venue. The game was due to start at exactly 4pm but was delayed for awhile and players went back to their locker rooms for security reasons. After that, they returned to their warming-up moves, just as scheduled. The game is very important for Bangalore, as it is their chance to finish in a last-four position.
