New biofuel could lead to 100% clean flights

Earlier this month, a team of scientists at the University of North Dakota’s Energy and Environmental Research Center (EERC) successfully tested a new biofuel based on a mixture of canola and soybean oils, and claim it may be the key to zero emission aviation. The new super-biofuel, known as Jet Propellant-8 (JP-8) was used to launch a rocket above the Mojave Desert, where it approached the speed of sound and reached an altitude of 20,000 feet – a major leap forward in biofuel-powered flight.

Over the past few weeks, rumors have been swirling that the upcoming upgraded Apple iPod Touch will have a camera, adding a much wanted feature to the popular media player. The latest rumor, via Wired , adds to the camera notion by saying Apple will add a mic as well, allowing for the possibility of video recording as well as Skype .

Students Religious Liberties Act for Arizona

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has signed into law the “Students Religious Liberties Act”, giving public school students new rights to express their religious convictions. The act ostensibly prohibits schools from discriminating against students or parents on the basis of religious viewpoint or expressions. Yet critics express concern the law leaves open the possibility for a school’s anti-harassment, anti-bullying or non-discrimination policies to be invalidated.
