Brooke Candy: Kissing Miley Cyrus on Instagram!

On Saturday night, Miley Cyrus kissed a girl – and she must have liked it. A short while after this artist made out with Katy Perry on stage, a photo of Miley also swapping spit with singer Brooke Candy has surfaced. Candy posted it last night and then Miley Tweeted it today along with the caption:  “My new label sista! Welcome to @RCA bishhhy! Happy 2 have you apart of da fam bam.” This is definitely one sure way for Candy to announce herself on the music scene. Miley, of course, has gotten to first base with women before. She kissed Cara Delevingne once and posted the image as a statement about LGBT rights. She also made out with a dancer during a Britney Spears concert in Las Vegas. Gentrification Rant By Spike Lee Raises Eyebrows, Stirs Debate in NYC

Film director and New York City native Spike Lee went off on an expletive-filled rant against gentrification in the nation’s biggest metro area this week. Lee grew up in the Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, where his parents still live. In response to a question at an African American History Month lecture Tuesday at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, the 56-year-old film great said: “Why does it take an influx of white New Yorkers into the South Bronx, in Harlem, in Bed Stuy, in Brown Heights, for the facilities to get better?” Explaining this quote, he told Anderson Cooper, “My problem is, when you move into a neighborhood, have some respect for the history, for the culture.” To stay a great city, Lee said NYC needs more affordable housing. He also offered these choice, NSFW quotes on the subject … “The garbage wasn’t picked up every (expletive) day when I was living in 165 Washington Park.” “Have you seen Fort Greene Park in the morning? It’s like the (expletive) Westminster Dog Show.” “Then comes the (expletive) Christopher Columbus Syndrome. You can’t discover this. We been here. You just can’t come and bogart.” (Renters) can’t even afford (expletive) (expletive) Williamsburg now because of (expletive) hipsters.” In a response to the controversial, racially charged remarks, Joshua Greenman, who is white and lives in Brooklyn, called Spike Lee’s rant “ignorant.” “The phenomenon he decries is mostly innocuous, inevitable and, in a diverse and economically dynamic city, healthy,” Greenman writes in the N.Y. Daily News. Greenman pointed to studies that demonstrate how gentrification is actually good for long-time residents because businesses and services improve. Like Lee, though, he pointed to the need for affordable housing.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Poster: All Men Must Die

HBO has unveiled a new  Game of Thrones Season 4 poster. And it doesn’t exactly come bearing good news for… well, anyone. The promotional art centers on the mysterious three-eye crow, whose feathers are made to look like swords and who is flying beneath an ominous tagline that reads: All Men Must Die. This, of course, is the translation of the High Valyrian phrase “Valar Morghulis.” Let the countdown to the April 6 premiere begin, go watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic for a refresher and check out the poster now:

Lauren Silverman Divorce Settled; Simon Cowell, Baby Mama Still Together!

Lauren Silverman’s divorce from husband Andrew has been finalized, clearing the path for her to be together with Simon Cowell and their soon-to-be-born child. And, as TMZ reports, the two are still very much together as a couple. The settlement occurred just a few hours ago, as Andrew and Lauren Silverman have agreed to some form of joint custody over their 7-year-old son. She will receive just over $2 million in financial compensation, as well. Lauren will remain in New York City so she can be close to her son, though she is still in a relationship with Simon Cowell, contrary to previous reports. Sources say Lauren and Simon are still “very much together.” Insiders have also said that despite being blindsided by the news, Simon wants to not just provide for the child, but play and active role in its upbringing. He had reportedly been refusing to see his baby mama in person (below) until the divorce drama died down, but had been in constant contact with her. Now that it’s over … will there be a romantic rendezvous? Will she move into his Beverly Hills mansion? And will they go public as a bona fide couple? All we can do is stay tuned. You’re Next Posters Take Marketing To a Creepy New Level

The last  You’re Next  poster we saw was of the normal variety. Very well done, showcased the general plot of the movie in an entertaining fashion. The  You’re Next posters released today? Well they drive home how scary and creepy this movie might be. Instead of releasing a single poster to the media, the team behind  You’re Next instead sent individual posters to select websites with a short (somewhat threatening) email. Ryan of ShockTillYouDrop received an email saying “You’ve been chosen. The Animals are on the Hunt. And Ryan… #You’re Next” with the following one-sheet attached. Excuse me as I crawl out of my skin. I am, admittedly, a big ol’ wuss when it comes to scary things but man alive this gives me the heebie jeebies. With the letter ‘T’ you’d have to assume the rest of the poster series likely spells out “You’re Next” so there are eight other sites out there who also received an email with a poster.  It’s like a creepy Easter Egg Hunt.

Man of Steel Character Posters: Superman, Jor-El, and Zod

Despite the “You are not alone” tag,  Man of Steel is  not a Michael Jackson biopic (though how are there not already six of those?).  It’s a Superman biopic. …Scratch that, I’m being informed that Superman is not real and this is a fictional film based on a comic book. Also, my delete key is broken. Check out three new  Man of Steel  character posters : Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, and Michael Shannon star in the posters as the three Kryptonians Superman, Jor-El, and General Zod. Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, and Christopher Meloni also star. Zack Snyder directs the reboot/origin story, which fans can catch in theaters beginning June 14!

The World’s End Posters: Cheers!

Two new  The World’s End  posters have dropped, a U.K.-only quad poster (we won’t tell that you’re looking at it from outside the U.K.), and a standard poster. Simon Pegg co-wrote and stars in the sci-fi comedy, which follows a group of adult friends as they go back home to re-attempt an epic pub crawl. Once there, they realize that something strange is happening to the place they grew up. Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Rosamund Pike, Paddy Considine, and Eddie Marsen also star. Pegg co-wrote the film with Edgar Wright, who also directs. The film represents the final film of the duo’ s  Blood and Ice Cream trilogy. The World’s End will premiere August 23.
