This is one such story… An unnamed father on board a Virgin America flight from Boston to Los Angeles on Monday night didn’t want his three-year old daughter to miss out on Halloween. So he handed out candy to his fellow passengers and also gave them a note along with it. The note read as follows: My 3-year old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight… so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much! Oh, yes, the little girl was dressed like a donut. Just in case you thought this tale couldn’t get any cuter. “OMG, my heart is exploding right now. Dad of the year just passed out candy to everyone on the flight so his 3 year old could trick or treat,” wrote a passenger who witnessed the act and then talked about it on Twitter. “He started handing out the treats… He handed them out mostly to folks in the aisle and middle seats,” this Twitter user, Stephanie, told BuzzFeed News . She added: “When I first got on the plane, I overheard the little girl talking about how she was excited to trick or treat. I felt sad because I was thinking about how when we landed in San Francisco it would be way too late to trick or treat.” Also making this story even better? Speaking on Wednesday to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, Dunham referred to the act perpetrated against Kardashian as something that was “so awful.” The only thing worse, in a manner of speaking? Anyone making a quip at Kim’s expense this week. “What I really hate about this Kim thing is that people are feeling so much license to make jokes,” the 30-year-old star says. “That’s a human being.” It’s a similar point to the one James Corden made so clearly in a Tweet just hours after news of the robbery broke. Wrote the talk show host online at the time: It’s true. Think what you want about Kim Kardashian (any regular reader of The Hollywood Gossip knows that we have quite a few issues with the star), but do not dare to think that she somehow deserved this to happen to her. Don’t make light of the situation. Kardashian was bound and gagged by armed assailants in France early Monday morning. She begged for her life, telling the men that she had two little kids at home, and multiple sources have said Kardashian believed she was going to be raped . The Brangelina divorce has turned up a few more notches as Brad voluntarily submitted to a drug test to dispel rumors that marijuana and alcohol have impaired his judgement as a parent. Sources sources close to the couple say DCFS has made its suggestions and Brad and Angelina had 2 options. Either take the deal or fight it out in court… — Angelina gets temporary physical custody of the 6 kids until Oct 20th. — Brad gets visitation, with strings attached. The initial visit is with a therapist present and the therapist then has the power to either allow Brad subsequent unmonitored visits or insist on being present whenever he’s around the kids. — Brad is subject to random drug/alcohol testing. As we reported, Angelina believes Brad has issues with alcohol and weed. Our law enforcement sources say Brad’s first test was negative for drugs and alcohol. — Brad and Angelina will each submit to individual counseling. In addition, Brad, Angelina and the kids will undergo family counseling together. It’s been over a year since Shannen Doherty revealed that she’s battling breast cancer . During that time, the actress has been remarkably candid about her difficult journey, opening up to fans about emotional milestones along the way. When Doherty shaved her head because she was losing her hair as a result of chemotherapy treatments, she posted a photo of the moment on her Instagram page. Earlier this month, she triumphantly shared the news that she’s almost done with chemotherapy . Now that there’s a light at the end of her very long, dark tunnel, Doherty is making a point to thank those who helped guide her on her path to recovery. Doherty has been effusive in her praise for her oncologist, Dr. Lawrence Piro. She’s expressed her gratitude to her network of supportive friends who stood by her in her darkest hour. And today, she took time out to thank the man who held her hand as she faced the fight of her life. Doherty married Kurt Iswarienko in 2011. Today, she shared a photo from their wedding (above) on Instagram, along with the following caption: “Our wedding was exceptional and not for the big event it was. It was exceptional because we committed for better or worse, in sickness or in health to love and cherish one another.” “Those vows have never meant more than they do now. Kurt has stood by my side thru sickness and makes me feel more loved now than ever. “I would walk any path with this man. Take any bullet for him and slay every dragon to protect him. He is my soul mate. My other half. I am blessed.” During a Stand Up to Cancer event in Los Angeles earlier this month, Doherty revealed that her battle with cancer has actually strengthened her marriage: “My marriage was always fantastic,” she told Entertainment Tonight . “but it’s even better now.” She added: “It’s not just the people who have cancer. It’s the families too that go through it that it’s very hard on.” Asked about his role in his wife’s recovery, Iswarienko downplayed his contribution: “I have the easy part,” he told ET. “Just being a support system for her… I wish I could do it for her, you know?” Our thoughts are with Doherty and Iswarienko as the two of them continue their fight against one of the toughest opponents imaginable.
