I chose that title because I knew it would get people’s attention. […] Honestly it’s not about teaching you how to lose a husband, it’s a play on words. Negativity seems to go further than positivity. It’s a novel, it’s a fiction book. It’s based on real life experiences and everyday life. I have girlfriends who go through things and I share things with my girlfriends. That’s what really, really inspired me. Toya also spoke candidly on her dating life and revealed that she NEVER wants to date a rapper again…. I have such a huge respect for him that I would never date another rapper. Not only because of the respect I have for him but because I don’t like dating rappers. It’s just too much that comes along with that lifestyle. Timbaland’s Cites BOSSIP’s Report Of His Estranged Wife Accusing Him Of “Economically Strangling” Her As Proof Their Divorce Should Be Sealed Timbaland claims his children will be at the mercy of cyberbullies and stalkers unless a family court judge orders documents in his increasingly bitter divorce sealed. The producer, who was born Timothy Mosley, made the claims last week in court papers filed in Miami Dade Circuit Court, pleading with a judge to seal the ex-couple’s divorce proceedings to protect his family, according to documents obtained by BOSSIP. Timbaland said he and estranged wife Monique are a “high profile couple,” and any more info coming out about their lifestyle, spending, net worth or family dirt could make them victims of kidnappers, cyberbullies and scammers. He said sealing their divorce documents would protect his family from physical harm. “Unrestricted public access to the proceedings and the records would provide television and cyberbullies volumes of material to invade the children’s privacy and bully them,” Timbaland wrote in his motion. “The court has the power to control the proceedings and access to minimize risks of stalking, bullying and harassment.” He wants all records related to his divorce sealed, and if the judge won’t do that, he at least wants his financial info shielded from the public. Under Florida state law, family court cases are public records.

Zoe Kravitz Blasts Hollywood Typecasting For Black Actors We love us some Zoe Kravitz , especially as she’s matured and become more WOKE . In a recent interview she talks about how Hollywood typecasts black actors and how she’s learned to resist the status quo. Via ABCNews : “People have tried to do that to me over and over again and I’ve been fighting it and fighting it,” Kravitz said on a recent afternoon interview. “I would get auditions and it would be like ‘they want you to play the best friend.’ And it’s like ‘why can’t I audition for the lead?’ Then it’ll be like ‘OK now you’re the quirky black girl,’ or ‘now you’re a hippie.’ “I can play all kinds of people. I don’t have to play myself.” Zoe has gotten really good at playing superhero/action roles — but we’re glad she’s speaking out about being type cast. On Auditioning For “White Roles”: “(My role in 2007’s ’The Brave One’) was written for a blonde white Russian girl. I was like ‘I’ll audition for it anyway,’” she said. “It changed (director Neil Jordan’s) mind about how he saw that role.” That’s dope that she helped change someone’s way of thinking. Hopefully she’ll continue to win roles originally written as white. On Black Actors Working Toward Diversifying Hollywood: “I love the fact that there’s such an open dialogue right now about women in Hollywood and black women and black men in Hollywood and everything in between. Now it’s about us bringing the change,” Kravitz said. “We started the dialogue but I don’t expect any man to write a script that speaks for me. I don’t expect any man to write a script for me. I think we need to do that. If we want to be represented properly in Hollywood, let’s represent ourselves properly in Hollywood.” Kravitz has also started a collective of filmmaker friends, including cinematographers, directors, actors and writers, to put her words into action. The goal is to write a script together and they meet weekly to work. “It’s our responsibility to say ‘I’m not going to take the same role over and over again.’ I mean, of course actors gotta eat, but if it’s something you believe in, we have the power to break the stereotypes by (a) writing our own things and (b) saying ‘no’ to the same thing over and over again,” Kravitz said. “This industry is not colorblind, but I think actors can be.” We love this side of Zoe. Alabama Cop Who Shot And Killed Black Man Charged With Murder 23-year-old Alabama cop, Aaron Cody Smith, who shot and killed an unarmed black man has been charged with murder, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation according to ABC News : On Wednesday, District Attorney Daryl Bailey told Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange that the SBI believed it had established probable cause to arrest Montgomery Police Officer Aaron C. Smith in the shooting death of Gregory Gunn, Strange said in a statement. “We believe it is essential for our community and for justice that the light of truth is brought in this case, as in every case,” Strange said. On Feb. 25, Smith shot and killed 58-year-old Gunn in front of a neighbor’s house as he was walking home, the Associated Press reported. On Monday, Montgomery Police Chief Ernest Finley said Smith had deemed Gunn was acting “suspiciously,” but did not say what Smith found suspicious about him. Authorities initially said Gunn had a stick or cane and that the two became involved in a physical altercation before Smith shot him, the AP reported. DA Bailey said in a statement he would “do everything” in his power to protect a police officer who is acting within the law, but would also “use every ounce of” his power to prosecute a police officer who has acted outside of the law. Smith has been released from the Montgomery County jail, McDermott said. He is currently in hiding because he and his family have been receiving death threats following Gunn’s death, McDermott said. Smith’s bail had been set for $150,000, the AP reported. It was posted by several different jurisdictions supporting him, McDermott said. #BlackLivesMatter
