It’s been quite a year for Olympic gold medalist and perennially sketchy bro, Ryan Lochte. As you probably remember, Lochte was caught lying about being robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics, resulting in one of the most bizarre and baffling sports scandals in recent memory. But the Loch-mess has a leg up on the rest of the world in that his 2016 is actually ending on a positive note: Yes, Lochte announced today that he’s expecting his first child with fiancee Kayla Rae Reid. “My Christmas gift came early this year, can’t wait for next year!” the 32-year-old captioned the above Instagram post. “Best news I’ve ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017.” Until today, of course, the news that Lochte won’t do jail time for his idiocy in Rio was probably the best news he’d ever received. We kid, Ryan! Lochte and Reid got engaged in October, and clearly they got right to work on starting a family. A cruder site would make a joke about the speed of Ryan’s swimmers, but you’ll find no such boorishness here, good sir! Anyway, for most of the world, 2016 was a wall-to-wall sh-tshow, but Lochte’s had more ups and downs than a gnarly breaststroke, jeah ! He won gold in Rio, then lied and claimed he and his teammates were robbed in order to cover up for the fact that they got wasted and trashed a gas station. Shortly thereafter, Lochte went on Dancing With the Stars to kick off his unofficial apology tour. Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans is constantly making headlines for stressful situations related to her children, and this one is no exception. Already the mother of two little boys and currently pregnant with a little girl, the Carolina Hurrican is constantly in and out of courtrooms. To wit, she’s currently battling Nathan Griffith for custody over her younger son, Kaiser, following a recent string of alarming allegations. Wild allegations between Jenelle and Nathan, who were once engaged, have been traded, and heated, since their split last summer. Shortly after they split, Griffith returned to the resident they shared with his new girlfriend; Evans was arrested for assaulting Jessica Henry . Jenelle was accused of throwing a glass at Nathan’s significant other, although eventually, Evans was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. While things have improved since (the bar was set very low), there’s still an enormous amount of tension between Kaiser’s parents. Jenelle, who is expecting a girl with David Eason, has been sharing pregnancy news but is typically keeping a relatively low profile. Sure, she deals with allegations of taking her son out in a hurricane or letting him play near a bonfire, but by her standards? Uneventful. Griffith, on the other hand, reacted to her pregnancy with indignation and seems to delight in every chance he gets to diss her since. While she hasn’t stooped to that level, she has expressed concerns about Kaiser’s safety with his own father, and is headed to court. The above tweet speaks volumes about the situation. Right now, things are tense between them, and Evans is not hiding that fact, though she’s also refrained from mentioning Nathan by name. She hasn’t called him out or made any public allegations about what he is or is not doing, but is letting her actions speak for themselves. Rather, she says she wants to keep Kaiser safe and she is willing to do whatever it takes for that to happen, even if she gets flak for it. So what’s going on with Nathan, exactly? Back when the couple first called off their engagement, they reached a deal in which Jenelle was given primary physical custody of their son. Now she’s seeking sole custody. According to court documents, Jenelle claims Nathan told her that his “mental health is not stable and that he is unable to care for” Kai. In this new clip from the upcoming Unseen Moments special from Teen Mom OG, Farrah is seen feuding with her neighbors. It's not clear what the fight is about, but what is clear is that Farrah is needlessly aggressive and really just terrible. After the spat, Farrah goes inside to see that Sophia was watching and listening to the whole thing. She actually starts to kind of apologize for her behavior, but Sophia cuts her off to say “Oh, it's OK, you're the best mama in the world.” How twisted is that? As a bonus, we get to see Farrah's archenemy, Amber Portwood, watch the clip. Amber also feels the need to defend her actions at the reunion show, namely the part where she tried to attack Farrah . Unlike the first two instance, however, Bristol is married to the father of her impending baby. (We mean this as no slight to Bristol. It’s simply a fact.) Palin and husband Dakota Meyer confirmed that they are expecting their second child in an interview on Friday with Entertainment Tonight. “We are so excited to announce that our family is expanding!” the couple told ET in a joint statement, adding: “God has blessed us so much; we are thankful for His grace and new beginnings. A springtime baby in the Meyer home and we can’t wait!” Palin’s previous two pregnancies were met with controversy and a bit of consternation. First, it came to light that she was expecting a child with boyfriend Levi Johnston while her mother, Sarah Palin, was running for Vice President of the United States in 2008. The pair eventually broke up and only recently agreed on a shared custody arrangement of seven-year old Tripp. Bristol would become somewhat of a D-List celebrity in her own right, appearing on the aforementioned ABC reality competition and speaking out for conservative causes such as gun control. Fast forward to the spring of 2015 and Palin calling off her wedding to Meyer, just days before the two were scheduled to exchange vows. That June, however, Palin announced she was pregnant , making it pretty clear on her blog that the pregnancy wasn’t planned. And that she wasn’t too excited over it. “I don’t want any lectures,” she wrote at the time, refusing to name Meyer as her baby’s father and adding: “Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. When life gets tough, there is no other option but to get tougher.” We almost felt bad for her at the time. Bristol gave birth to a girl named Sailore Grace about a year ago, finally confirming that Meyer did, indeed, knock her up. Have you been missing Maggie? If so, then you were in for a treat on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 as we got to see just how fractured leadership was at the Hilltop Colony. If you watch The Walking Dead online , you’ll know that Maggie and Sasha made a break for the colony after Negan murdered both Abraham and Glen on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 . It’s definitely not scenes you could easily forget, but catching up with the characters was pretty intriguing. Maggie got some much-needed confirmation that her pregnancy was going as planned. However, she was told to rest up for a few days to get over the emotional trauma she was put threw watching her baby daddy being brutally murdered. When she and Sasha went to pay their respects to their fallen friends, Gregory showed up and made it clear he wanted Maggie out of the colony because he didn’t want to have any more dealings with the Alexandria crowd. This was a bit rich when you consider the fact that the Alexandria group only went to war with the saviors to save Gregory’s people. Sasha and Maggie were quick to point this out, but he didn’t give a damn. He revealed that Maggie could stay the night, but she would be leaving first thing in the morning. So much for the hospitality he gave her when she was wheeling and dealing with him last year. Gregory was no doubt terrified at the prospect of the Saviors showing up and attacking his people. There’s no telling what Negan would do if he got wind of Gregory’s involvement. That night, Maggie and Sasha were shocked to the core when the gates to the colony were knocked down and a car was in the courtyard with loud music. This was drawing all of the walkers into the colony and making things very difficult. Sasha pleaded with Maggie to stay in the trailer while she went off on her own to save them. Pretty much as soon as Sasha made her escape from the trailer, Maggie was out in the open and barking orders at people. Even though she was ill, she knew what she had to do in order to save everyone. She got in a tractor and ran over the car until the music stopped playing. It really was the best course of action and it proved she’s a natural leader. The next morning, Jesus, Maggie and Sasha pled their case to Gregory to allow them to stay, but they were stopped in their tracks by the arrival of the Saviors. Maggie and Sasha were put in hiding to avoid being murdered. Simon and the group of the saviors went into the house and immediately started laying down the law. Gregory was trying every trick in the book in order to get them away. He offered them everything he could, but he lost all of his alcohol and art. It was a thrilling turn of events, but it was needed to show that absolutely no group is safe from the wrath of the Saviors. After the meeting, Maggie went to Gregory to tell him she would not be leaving and that he was to quit calling her names. He obviously felt defeated after losing most of his inventory and looking pretty stupid. Maggie was then shocked to the core when Enid showed up. Enid hitched a ride with Carl and the two of them seemed to get a lot closer. Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 Online It would be such a shame if they never got the chance to meet up again. Couples just don’t seem to have a long shelf life on this show. Right now, Carl is on his way to Negan’s base with Jesus, but what is their master plan? As you surely know if you watch Teen Mom OG (or even if you just get on the internet sometimes), Catelynn Lowell has been having a tough time lately. Or really, she’s had it rough for a while now — she was thrown into a hell of a battle with postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter, Novalee , in January 2015. Things got so bad that Catelynn went to rehab in March to deal with her mental illness, and she’s still struggling with it. According to what we’ve seen on the show, there are some days when Catelynn can’t even get out of bed, and it’s all really affected her marriage with Tyler Baltierra. So hey, sounds like a great time to have another baby, right? If we’re to believe the rumors, Catelynn is pregnant with her third child, mental health be damned. She sparked those rumors herself when she posted this photo with fellow Teen Mom stars, Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney: “#thxbirthcontrol nine months from now I plan on being more awesome!!” she captioned the picture, and a lot of people took that as a pregnancy announcement. She got several comments like “Congrats, Catelynn!” and “omg you’re pregnant!” She also got some comments that were a little less kind, like “The last thing you need is something else you aren’t capable of taking care of.” But still, the general consensus was that she’s pregnant. So is she? Did she and Tyler decide to have another kid, even though things have been so hard lately? Are we going to see another precious little Teen Mom baby? No, it turns out that Catelynn’s just bad at communicating, because she’s given a statement denying the pregnancy. “After all of the rumors started circulating,” she said, “I wanted to make this very clear.” “After just recovering from postpartum depression coupled with the fact that I’m on birth control, Tyler and I are not and will not be expecting for a few more years.” “Sorry for the inconvenience,” she added. Over on Twitter, one of her followers asked her “did you know you’re pregnant?” and she responded “Yea definitely not.” And so there you have it. Catelynn actually does have the good sense to wait a little while before having another child, after all that postpartum depression put her through . Yesterday, Thursday, November the 17th, was a very, very special day. It was the one week anniversary of Dream Renee Kardashian’s grand entrance into this world . We sincerely hoped you planned accordingly and sent cards and gifts and well wishes to little Dream and her parents, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian, and if you didn’t, well, then go ahead and feel terrible about yourself. But before you send that belated fruit basket, why don’t you settle in for a minute and learn about another important thing that happened yesterday. Yesterday, Blac Chyna revealed how much weight she’s lost in the seven days since she’d given birth. Hint: it’s a lot. Chyna did the big reveal on Snapchat, because of course she did. Go ahead and check out her post: “From 192lbs to 177lbs (7 days postpartum),” she wrote. “Goal 130lbs my starting weight b4 Dream.” “I can’t believe how flat my stomach is already!!!!” she added. “Getting dressed tomorrow for the first time can’t wait.” Fifteen pounds in seven days … not too shabby, right? Dream weighed seven pounds and five ounces when she was born, and then throw in the weight from the placenta and all that fun general bloating that pregnancy brings, and we’d say that Chyna’s off to a great start towards her goal. It makes sense that she’d be taking her weight loss seriously — she’s been saying for months that we’re all going to be completely amazed and how fast she planned on getting back in shape after giving birth. In June, she announced “My goal is to gain, like, 100 pounds this pregnancy . Imma tear it up, then Imma snap back.” She didn’t quite hit her goal of 100 pounds — she gained just around 57 — but still, she’s excited to get back to her pre-Dream body . She shared this picture yesterday over on Instagram, a classic #ThrowbackThursday: As for Rob, he hasn’t stepped on a scale to document his postpartum body yet, but he’s made it clear that he’s planning on snapping back right along with Chyna. Last month, he shared a couple of old photos of himself and Chyna, and captioned them “Oh yeah we snapping back lol.” “Baby will be here in 4 weeks,” he wrote, “and I’m done with carrying this pregnancy weight. Me and my baby gonna be righttttt…” “MOTIVATION TIME!! We almost there Chy.” Yes, Rob did actually think up the words “I’m done with carrying this pregnancy weight,” thought they were good, and posted them on the internet, but let’s not dwell on that absurdity. The point is that Blac Chyna is on the road to snapping back, and in just a few short months, we should be back to near-constant nude or nude-ish selfies . #Thankful. Jenelle Evans has made a lot of questionable decisions in her life. We would list them all here, but there’s only a slim chance that we would actually finish before the sun expands and engulfs the Earth. Suffice it to say, Jenelle has been arrested more times than Katt Williams, and despite the fact that she’s currently pregnant with her third child, she doesn’t seem to plan on settling down any time soon. Or at least that’s what her ex-fiance and baby daddy Nathan Griffith would have us believe. Teen Mom 2 Season 8 hasn’t even premiered yet, but according to Radar Online, the ladies assembled in New York City to film the annual reunion show over the weekend. Because they all post every detail of their lives on social media, we pretty much know what the main storylines will be this season, and naturally, Jenelle’s pregnancy will be a major focal point. And not surprisingly, Jenelle is being accused of behaving irresponsibly while knocked up. Specifically, Griffith claims she smoked pot on several occasions while pregnant with daughter Ensley, who’s due in January. Witnesses say Griffith leveled the allegation against a shocked Evans while the two of them were participating in an awkward interview segment at the reunion. An irate Evans reportedly denied the accusation: “Of course he’s going to accuse me of crazy things at this point,” she’s quoted as saying. Jenelle’s mother Barbara Evans didn’t speak on Griffith’s allegations, but she did accuse Jenelle’s current boyfriend, David Eason, of abusing substances with kids in the house. “She said he uses drugs,” a source on set said. Jenelle reportedly denied that accusation as well, saying: “I don’t know where that information came from, but that isn’t true.” Whether the drug use rumors are true or not, we think it’s safe to say it was a tough reunion show for Jenelle. We’re guessing it’s equally safe to say the whole season will be tough on Jenelle. We’d feel bad for her, but if there’s a poster child for self-created problems, it’s Jenelle Evans.
