Toni Braxton suffered a major wardrobe malfunction last August. But now the singer is revealing a part of herself that cuts deeper than any exposed butt crack: In a new memoir, Braxton opens up about a past abortion and how that decision has significantly affected her present and her future. The artist says God gave her 11-year-old son, Diezel, autism as punishment for his mother having an abortion over a decade ago. Writes Braxton of struggling with the choice to terminate her pregnancy back in the day: “I was suddenly faced with a choice I’d never thought I’d have to make. Amid my major misgivings about abortion, I eventually made the gut-wrenching decision.” She goes on to add: “In my heart, I believed I had taken a life – an action that I thought God might one day punish me for… My initial rage was quickly followed by another strong emotion: guilt. I knew I’d taken a life… I believed God’s payback was to give my son autism.” Raised in a religious household, Braxton details how she was forced to memorize 26 scriptures per week and to focus on religious studies over regular school work. Titled “Unbreak My Heart,” the book also covers Braxton’s struggles through a pair of bankruptcies and a recent health scare, having been hospitalized in 2012 with Lupus complications . Still, it’s not difficult to predict which passage in the biography most will focus on.

We can understand why a stepmom of two such as LeAnn would appreciate a holiday of her own (Though can’t you just buy your mom and stepmom the same crappy card on Mother’s Day and be done with it?), but the way she’s pitted the two days against one another feels like a shot at Brandi. Wladimir Klitschko’s wedding to Hayden Panettiere has been delayed by the political unrest unfolding in the Ukraine, the Nashville star reveals to Parade. The current fighting and uncertain future of the Eastern European nation has put all of the couple’s plans on the back burner for the foreseeable future. “Everything that’s happening in Ukraine definitely put a hold on things . But we have time,” the actress, 24, said of her marriage to the boxing champ, 38. The actress announced her engagement to the professional boxer back in October 2013, and appeared on the cover of the April/May issue of Brides. One thing’s for sure, though: After breaking up briefly before getting engaged, Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko know they belong together. “It means a lot when you experience life with someone, then you experience life without him and decide that you don’t want to live without him,” Panettiere said. For now, she will enjoy being engaged until the political situation settles. Frankie Knuckles DJ and house music pioneer, died Monday. He was 59. The “godfather,” a Chicago resident, “died unexpectedly” at home, his longtime business partner Frederick Dunson confirmed to the Chicago Tribune . Bronx-born Frankie Warren Knuckles Jr. (yup, his real name) honed his DJ skills in NYC, moving to Chicago in the late ’70s as the disco scene was dying. Along with a group of house music innovators, the young Knuckles went on to become a cult hero overseas in Europe’s rave-oriented club scene. Also a producer, Knuckles went on to work with some of music’s biggest stars, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, and Diana Ross. Morales, along with Knuckles’ successors, mourned his passing Monday. “I am devastated to write that my dear friend Frankie Knuckles has passed away today,” he wrote. “Can’t write anymore than this at the moment. I’m sorry.” Chicago DJ Vince Lawrence wrote on his Facebook page, in memoriam: “A legend has fallen. All hail Frankie Knuckles an inspiration to us all.” Knuckles once told the Tribune in an interview why he championed house music .
