MTV News gets exclusive glimpse at art for ‘Put Your Graffiti on Me.’ By Jocelyn Vena Kat Graham’s “Put Your Graffiti on Me” art Photo: A&M/Octone Kat Graham frequently casts spells to get her friends out of trouble on the hit CW drama “Vampire Diaries.” Now, she’s hoping to cast her spell on the charts. The singer/actress is readying the release of her album, and MTV News has an exclusive first look at the art for her single, “Put Your Graffiti on Me.” The lively artwork features Graham with her hair pulled back into a high ponytail. She’s sporting a multicolored, sequined bodysuit with a flannel shirt tied around her waist. The single officially drops Monday, which marks a busy release day with Justin Bieber dropping his “Boyfriend” single and both Madonna and Katy Perry releasing albums on that same day. In February, Graham announced that she was signed to A&M Octone Records and announced to her fans that the single is only the beginning of this next phase in her career. “I am so excited that you guys are going to be a part of this journey with me,” she said in a video message . “I will definitely keep you guys in the loop with everything we’re doing for the record. I appreciate all your support and all the work that we’ve done to get here.” While she has yet to drop an official album, Graham has been teasing fans with several singles and videos. In March 2011, Graham spoke to MTV News on the set of her “I Want It All” music video about balancing her two careers. “I’ve been recording since I was 14, but the song really came to manifestation this year. I really found my sound,” the TV teen witch told MTV News about working on the album. “One of my 2011 resolutions was to do my own music and do my own album. I’ve been working on that, and it’s been going great. … It’s unreal for me.” Are you excited to hear Kat’s new single? Tell us below!
Perry is set to premiere the clip on ‘MTV First’ tonight at 7:23 p.m. ET, followed by an MTV.com Q&A. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry in her “Part of Me” music video Photo: Capitol We’re just excited as you are about the premiere of Katy Perry’s “Part of Me” video tonight at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV. But before Katy herself introduces the video and answers your questions on MTV.com following the debut, we have a wish list of five things we’d love to see in the visuals. Directed by Ben Mor and filmed at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base in Oceanside, California, in February, the clip promises to show Perry in full combat mode. So what do we want from the sure-to-be-feisty video? Katy Perry Getting Tough She’s always been pretty fierce, but seeing her crawl around in the dirt and maybe even shoot a gun? Well, that’s a side of the singer we have yet to see. But given how aggressive she is in the video teaser, we know she can live up to the challenge. Katy Perry in Night Vision Who hasn’t imagined what the California Gurl would look like in the green light of night vision? Based on the tease, it seems Katy Cats can see Perry in a whole new, um, light. Katy Perry In Uniform Of all the looks we’ve seen from Ms. Perry (which have even included a bra that shoots whipped cream ), getting a glimpse of Perry in a uniform would be a whole new style. And given that she usually looks impeccably feminine and super glossy, it could be fun to see this new, more lo-fi side of the star. Katy Perry With Black Hair Sure, we love Katy’s blue hair , but have we missed Katy in her signature jet-black hair? Yes! It’s her look, and we can’t imagine a video for a song as dark as this would include candy-colored locks. Katy Perry Kissing Off a Former Lover Given the fact that the song is all about saying “buh-bye” to a dude who doesn’t deserve you, we hope that story line pops up in the video somehow. How that ties into the Marine theme of the video? Well, that will remain a mystery until the premiere, but we can’t help thinking about the old adage about not messing with a woman scorned … Following the premiere, the singer will talk all about her new projects, including Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, during a 30-minute interview with MTV News’ James Montgomery on MTV.com. Don’t miss “MTV First: Katy Perry” tonight, when the pop star will debut her long-awaited video for “Part of Me” at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV. ‘Things will definitely be a little different’ when pregnant Snooki and crew shoot season six this summer, an MTV rep confirms. By Jocelyn Vena The cast of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV Snooki promised at the end of the latest season of “Jersey Shore” that she’d be back for more Seaside Heights, New Jersey, shenanigans, and she wasn’t lying. MTV News has confirmed that there will be another season of the “Shore” — with mom-to-be Snooki joining her pals. Although further details about season six of the hit MTV reality show have yet to be released — though we do know “Shore” will tape this summer — the network released a statement hinting that there will be new themes to explore. “While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same,” an MTV rep teased. A pregnant Snooki and JWoww are in the midst of filming their own spin-off, while DJ Pauly D’s spin-off, “The Pauly D Project,” will premiere on March 29. But the crew will reconvene for another summer in the sun in Jersey. When MTV News caught up with Pauly D recently, he seemed excited to shoot another season that made him and his housemates household names. “Absolutely! I’m there! I love summers on the Jersey Shore,” he said. “I love it as a show, and I love it with my roommates. I wouldn’t do it without [them], I gotta do it with them. I want all of them [there] and I want the Jersey Shore.” Looking back on season five, Pauly said that if the cast had learned anything, it was how much they loved the Shore after a season spent abroad in Italy. “This season, we kind of appreciated Jersey more,” he said. “So we took advantage of it and everything it has to offer. We were in Italy for so long [last season] that we never were away from the country for that amount of time, so you realize how much you miss gym, tan, laundry. There was no tanning beds in Italy.” For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog.
As we count down to the premiere of her ‘Part of Me’ video, MTV News picks our favorite Katy Perry clips to date. By Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker Katy Perry Photo: EMI We’re just a couple days away from “MTV First: Katy Perry,” when the pop star will premiere the music video for her #1 hit, “Part of Me” on MTV. As her seventh #1 single, “Part of Me” has a long line of awesome videos to live up to. And as we count down the hours to the video premiere at 7:23 p.m. on Wednesday, it seems like an opportune time to look back at our five favorite Katy Perry videos so far. #5: “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)” This Marc Klesfeld-directed, 8-minute mini-movie opened with Kathy Beth Terry waking up the morning after throwing quite the rager, wearing absurd head gear and dreadful overalls. While this was not Katy’s first foray into the comedic music video genre by any means, this was the first time that she pulled all hands on deck to maximize the laughs with meaningful cameos from a glassy-eyed Darren Criss, Kevin McHale as a love interest, the mentoring of Friday expert Rebecca Black, Corey Feldman, Hanson, Debbie Gibson and, of course, Kenny G. Complete with dream sequences, beautiful fluorescent leggings a la 1985, a rooster and end credits that clearly save the best for last, “T.G.I.F.” is hands-down Katy’s most fun video to date. #4: “I Kissed a Girl” Rewatching the video for her first #1 hit, we see a personality far more timid and sex kitten-ish than the Katy Perry we know now. But we still recognize strong visual themes that are scattered throughout her more recent videos, live performances and magazine spreads. Director Kinga Burza brought us bizarre yet compelling imagery that seems to have set the tone for all videos to follow. The pink-and-red color scheme creates a burlesque backdrop around Katy’s former 1940s-pin-up-girl look that she hit the big pop scene with in 2008. We get to see a cat (not Kitty Purry technically, but perhaps a nod?), a pretty cake (confection!), and a pillow fight with a group of scantily clad women (including a pre-famous Ke$ha). The video ends with her waking up to realize the whole video was a dream, and she happens to be sharing a bed with a man who looks suspiciously similar to her then-boyfriend, Travie McCoy. #3: “California Gurls” This now-iconic video set the Candyland theme Perry took on the road with her for the sold-out California Dreams World Tour . As Snoop Dogg plays a naughty game of “Candyfornia,” the game piece, Ms. Perry, is faced with obstacles in the Mathew Cullen-directed adventure, including an army of pissed-off Gummy Bears and sinister candy snake vines. The obstacles are no match for her whipped cream-shooting bikini top and her happy-go-lucky demeanor she maintains while lying nude on some of the prettiest cotton candy clouds ever spotted. Her lavender, blue and black wigs foreshadowed Perry’s constantly-changing hair styles we see today. The visual effects in the video, surprisingly intricate for such a silly and sweet concept, transform Katy’s homeland California with all of its picturesque landscapes into a tantalizing Willy Wonka land where everything is edible, including the Hollywood sign. The video also marked Katy’s first noteworthy choreographed dancing, which was a new territory not explored from her One of the Boys era of videos. #2: “Firework” Katy Perry looks like a princess in this Budapest-set, Dave Meyers-directed tearjerker (happy tears!) that led the way for anti-bullying anthems even before Pink’s “F—in’ Perfect” and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way . Featuring a child cancer patient, a boy whose parents are fighting, a girl struggling with her weight and a teenage boy with a same-sex love interest, Katy Perry’s message of “igniting the light” is loud and clear as fireworks burst from everyone’s chest and purple streaks in one’s hair have never looked so good. #1: “The One That Got Away” Marking her second collaboration with director Floria Sigismondi following “E.T.,” “The One That Got Away” takes the top prize because of its clever jumps through time, a convincing old-lady makeover, Diego Luna’s spicy cameo, and Perry managing to look more beautiful than ever amid a fascinating emotional breakdown. Set against the backdrop of California panoramas, this music video neatly ties together the imagery she introduced us to in her equally gorgeous video for “Teenage Dream,” while letting the story of love and loss run wild, giving Katy the chance to show us the extent of her talent, as she showed her high potential for dramatic acting. Can Katy Perry top this list with “Part of Me”? Find out when during “MTV First: Katy Perry,” when the pop star will debut the video at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV, followed by an 30-minute interview with MTV News’ James Montgomery on MTV.com. ‘Peeta has a hard time saying how he feels to women. I have the opposite problem,’ Hutcherson tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Josh Hutcherson Photo: MTV News For the Josh Hutcherson fans out there who have been onboard with his “Hunger Games” casting in the role of Peeta Mellark since the beginning, you’re clearly on the same page as the actor himself, who has told us several times that he feels such a connection to Peeta that it “hurts.” “I feel like so much of who I am is Peeta,” Hutcherson told MTV News recently . “It drove me crazy during the audition process, because I was like, ‘This is so me, it hurts. If I don’t get this, I’m not even good at being me, so now what am I? I have no idea what to do next.’ ” And when we caught up with the young man behind the boy with the bread during the film’s press day, we asked if there was anything he and Peeta don’t have in common. “Peeta has a hard time saying how he feels to women. I have the opposite problem,” Hutcherson admitted. “I say it too soon, so we’re different in that respect. But, honestly, we’re very similar in so many ways it’s kind of hard to pick out the difference.” When asked whether his upfront approach in revealing his feelings too soon works in his favor, the “Journey 2” actor had no problem admitting defeat. “Not at all,” he said of his method’s effectiveness. “I think I should probably adopt more of Peeta’s strategy and maybe play it cool a little longer.” As those of us who have read Suzanne Collins’ books well know, however, that Peeta doesn’t play it cool for very long. Once he admits his feelings for Katniss, his affection does not waver at all. “Well, it’s borderline obsessed and that’s never good to be obsessed with anything really, but I think that he’s just that in love,” Hutcherson said in reference to his character’s attachment to Katniss. “He can’t help himself; he’s just head-over-heels and hopelessly in love.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Hunger Games.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Singer will premiere ‘Part of Me’ video on Wednesday, March 21, at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry Photo: MTV News Katy Perry will sit down with MTV News on Wednesday, March 21, to premiere her emotional, feisty clip for “Part of Me” during “MTV First: Katy Perry.” The premiere takes place at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV, and it’s followed by a 30-minute chat with MTV News’ very own James Montgomery, airing live on MTV.com. The singer, however, isn’t a “First” newbie. Perry sat down with Sway Calloway in March 2011 to premiere the Floria Sigismondi-directed “E.T.” video, and afterward she opened up about the spacey clip. She later won the Best Collaboration VMA with Kanye West for the video. So before she sits down with MTV News for her latest “First,” let’s reflect on the best trivia we learned from her candid first one. How did Katy end up recording the super-trippy “E.T.”? “I’ll tell you, it’s funny … this song, I remember writing with Max Martin and Dr. Luke, and there’s this producer they wrote with, named Ammo, and they were just showing me different samples of songs or tracks or beats, and they accidentally pulled up this beat, and it was for Three 6 Mafia,” Perry said about the song, which is about falling in love with an alien. “I heard it and I always knew I wanted to write this futuristic, alienistic song, and they pulled it up and I was like, ‘Wait, I can wrap my head around this. I know this seems like a long shot, but I think I have the perfect material to put on top of this sound.’ And I did, and it really worked out perfectly.” How did she end up looking like a sexy alien creature in the video? “It was, like, five and six hours, each makeup look,” Perry said. “It was hard for me! It was really a patience thing for me on this video. But, you know, it’s like when you’re doing a film. Sometimes you have to do prosthetics, and you have to get really old or turn into an animal or a monster — and that’s kind of what this process was.” Would Katy ever travel to space? “I’m so into extraterrestrial stuff. … It’s very difficult for me to look up into the sky in the middle of the night and not think that our planet is one of … a bajillion. It’s really, really small,” she said, later sharing that she had plans to travel to space with her then-hubby Russell Brand. Well, with the singer always saying and doing the unexpected, Katy Cats should expect even more memorable moments this time around. “Part of Me” is the lead single off of her March 27 album release, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which she will also talk about, as well as her forthcoming concert movie, “Katy Perry: Part of Me.” Perry’s fans can get in on the action of her “MTV First” by submitting video or text questions via Twitter (using @MTVNews / hashtag #MTVFirst or #KatyQ). Before the premiere of “Part of Me,” a tease of the clip will air on “VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live” on March 21 at 10 a.m. ET/PT, giving fans a taste of what they can expect from Katy in the video. In the super-fast teaser, Perry is channeling her inner Marine. A few shots of guns and night vision preview boot camp for the singer. The sneak peek closes on Perry’s face painted in camouflage makeup. She shot the video on a military base in California in February. Immediately following the premiere of “Part of Me” on MTV, the video for the deeply emotional single will air on Logo, debut on MTV.com, VH1.com and LOGOtv.com, and go into rotation on mtvU, MTV Hits and AMTV the following morning. Additionally, the video will debut on Saturday, March 24, at 9 a.m. ET/PT during VH1’s “Top 20 Countdown” and on TeenNick’s “Obsess This” music block at 7 a.m. ET and Sunday, March 25, at 8:30 a.m. ET. Selena Gomez has a hot little body that makes me feel like a pervert cuz it looks so young and tight…but that isn’t all that perverted to look at cuz she’s pushing 20…and is the real pervert in the situation cuz she sold her vagina to Bieber when he was underage…and she wasn’t….the kind of shit that would get you or me…or a bunch of the people I know on the sex offender registry arrested….but they are young, rich starlets and untouchable….you see cuz their parents wouldn’t press charges, they are too busy spending their fucking earnings….whore out your kids, it pays. I’m not convinced Gomez slammed Beiber…cuz of his whole homosexuality…maybe they did anal, her with a strap on mold of Usher’s dick, cuz he doesn’t let Justin have anything else, but the real issue is the fact that I’m analyzing their sex life….sometimes I even creep myself out…I figure it’s only fair, payback even, for all the girls I’ve creeped out over the years….. What matters is this body getting out of the hot tub for Springbreak…an overhyped garbage movie the producers are smart enough to let the paparazzi on…..and cast for 12 year old chicks…..it’ll be a huge hit….I hope I get invited to the premiere…going to movies for teen girls is always funny when the parents see you in the back row alone, wearing sunglasses, smiling…… To See The Rest of the Pics FOLLOW THIS LINK
Now here’s an image that could inspire a rebellion: Jennifer Lawrence hit the premiere of The Hunger Games in shiny, glowing gold, joining cast mates Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and more to celebrate the upcoming YA event movie. Well, OK — that number’s not quite bow and arrow, running-through-the-woods killing people-friendly, but JenLaw destroyed everyone else on that black carpet, including guest (and… secret Hunger Games fan?) Sylvester Stallone. Photos after the jump! Click to launch the slideshow . Get more on The Hunger Games , in theaters March 23.
Here’s Miley Cyrus all dolled up at the premiere of The Hunger Games last night getting a whole lot of attention. I guess everyone is so impressed with the acting she did in the movie. Wait, she’s not even in the movie? Than why is everyone taking pictures of her if she’s not even in this thing? It couldn’t possibly have something to do with her breasts spilling out of her little lingerie top could it? I love how some sweet boobies on the red carpet outshine the actual stars of the film. Well done.
Redneck Miley Cyrus pulled something special at the premiere of Hunger Games and that something was showing up with her titties out, in a skimpy outfit, like some stripper slut going to the trailer park’s block party on the fourth of july….. She showcased her hot young little body and stole all the attention from the other bitches in attendence…cuz cleavage and skimpy outfits is all it fucking takes…people love the slutty ones…they are the most fun to look at and plan sexual acts you want to perform on… This is the kind of shit that inspires teen pregnancy or at least me to be a part of some teen pregnancy….cuz shit there’s nothing quite like a young hot body…even if the head is that of a inbred hick….
