Michelle Bachmann Says God Will Repeal Obamacare According to Raw Story Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) is telling her constituents that God will “answer our prayers” and create a “miracle before our eyes” to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care reform law. In a Tuesday interview with evangelical radio host James Dobson, Bachmann noted that the House of Representatives had recently voted for the 37th time to repeal the Affordable Care Act and that she was hopeful that the Democratically-controlled Senate would do the same. “I think the President will ultimately be forced to repudiate his own signature piece of legislation because the American people will demand it,” she explained. “And I think before his second term is over, we’re going to see a miracle before our eyes, I believe God is going to answer our prayers and we’ll be freed from the yoke of Obamacare.” “I believe that’s going to happen and we saw step one last week with the repeal of Obamacare in the House. We have two more steps. We serve a mighty God and I believe it can happen.” At a tea party rally last week, Bachmann had falsely warned that Obamacare would allow the Internal Revenue Service to deny health care to patients. “Many people said this issue was dead, many people have said that Obamacare is here to stay,” she told the crowd. “We are here as the people’s representatives, as real people across the United States to say, this issue is now revived! The Oklahoma tornado death toll has been revised downward as state officials continue to evaluate the massive casualties in the wake of Monday’s event. The medical examiner’s office has lowered the confirmed death toll from 51 to 24, including nine children, though that total may still rise in coming days. Oklahoma medical examiner spokeswoman Amy Elliot said she believes some victims were counted twice in the early chaos of the storm aftermath. The original death toll included 20 children, and some news outlets have reported as many as 91 people were killed by the Moore, Okla., twister. Two elementary schools were in the path of Monday’s tornado, which the National Weather Service gave a preliminary rating of at least EF-4. That categorization entails churning wind speeds of up to 200 mph. Moore Mayor Glenn Lewis and National Guard members told ABC News that search-and-rescue operations at the schools are now recovery efforts. “The walls were just pancaked, absolutely flattened and the students were just grouped together,” Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb tragically told reporters. Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin tweeted late Monday that she visited with search crews. “Appreciate their hard work and tireless dedication,” she tweeted. Fallin has also deployed 80 National Guard members to help with search-and-rescue efforts throughout the city, just outside of Oklahoma City. Authorities said Briarwood Elementary School in Moore received a “direct hit” from the storm and was also destroyed, with its roof and walls blown off. “A lot of parents started walking, running to Briarwood, and when we got up to Briarwood, it had been just completely destroyed,” a Moore resident said. “I’m just happy that I was able to find my son and my family is OK. The scene over there at the school is just catastrophic. I’ve never seen anything like it.” A total of 242 patients, including 58 children, were treated at hospitals. Many patients have been treated and discharged while others have been transferred. Kelly Wells, spokeswoman for the Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System, said lacerations, broken bones, head and neck injuries were common. Moore Medical Center, the only hospital in Moore, sustained major damage from the tornado and was evacuating all its patients to other hospitals. Betsy Randolph of the State Highway Patrol asked non search-and-rescue personnel to stay off the roads so first responders can do their job. “We do still have rescue, search-and-rescue crews throughout this city. Some of the heavily hit areas, they are still searching for people,” she said. “We still have people that are trapped.” President Obama signed a disaster declaration in Oklahoma and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the affected area.

Alex Jones Says Democrats Stole Election According to Raw Story Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones rang some familiar Republican talking points in a phone interview with Gun Owners of America president Larry Pratt, accusing Democrats of widespread voter fraud and speaking of immigration reform in fearful terms. “They stole the election. That’s what I’m worried about, Larry,” Jones told Pratt. “There’s so much election fraud now. They’re about to legalize the 30 million illegals. But they know this is their last shot, because America is starting to wake up.” Jones did not offer any evidence for his claim of election fraud. However past claims of fraudulent voting have already been debunked by not only non-partisan groups, but Republican strategists and even elected officials who have instituted measures seeking to restrict access to the polls. Jones also did not provide a source for his estimate on the number of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Current estimates place that total at around 11 million people, a number which has been the baseline figure used during lawmakers’ current negotiations on the immigration reform bill proposed by a group of eight Republican and Democratic senators. For his part, Pratt accused President Barack Obama of being a “full-bore Marxist” who has centralized government power in the wake of his re-election in November 2012. “In his view, evidently, the fact that he barely got 50-plus percent of the vote means he can do anything he wants,” said Pratt of Obama, who defeated Republican Mitt Romney with 51.1 percent of the popular vote and 332 electoral college votes. “That he’s not the president in a constitutional republic where the president can do certain things and most things the president cannot do.” Alex Jones please have several seats.

President Barack Obama finds himself dealing with three separate scandals in a confluence of events that could threaten his second-term agenda. He was already in damage control mode and trying to dismiss GOP criticism of his administration’s handling of September’s deadly Benghazi attacks. Now, the Internal Revenue Service has been under scrutiny for targeting conservative groups – a surprising admission that Obama vocally criticized. And meanwhile, a third scandal erupted after the Associated Press revealed that the Justice Department had secretly obtained its phone records. Even the most ardent liberals can’t ignore the impact of three potential scandals at once, as Obama’s plans for his second term might be in real trouble. Obama’s attempt to quiet his critics on Monday won’t be enough to lift his already tenuous second-term fortunes, some political analysts predict. The administration’s failure to get out information on Benghazi quickly allowed Republicans to turn the inquiry into a “sideshow,” as Obama calls it. His promise to hold people accountable “if” the allegations against the IRS are true will only hand his critics the opportunity to blame him for that too. No one believes Obama ordered the IRS to do this, and his outrage is appropriate, but it also didn’t position him as being on top of the matter at all. Rather than taking quick action, such as firing those involved or opening a full White House investigation, he may be at the mercy of the details. And we haven’t even gotten to the AP scandal yet. In moderate and liberal circles, the phone-records scandal, because it involves the AP and raises anew the specter of Big Brother, may be the worst yet. At least when it comes to Obama’s reputation. Of all people to be tied to an alleged trampling of the First Amendment, Obama has the most to lose. The question is whether he can bounce back. If he can identify where his administration went wrong in all three cases, acknowledge it and show concrete and decisive action in each case, maybe. If Obama falls short, he’s going to have a very ugly second term. All the right-wing impeach-Obama groups will no longer seem like the fringe of the GOP if his stature, credibility and reasonableness take a hit. The uneven responses to Benghazi, followed by revelations about “the deliberate targeting of conservative groups by the IRS,” and now the AP mess? All together, it may simply make it impossible, or at least much more difficult, for Obama to paint himself as the voice of reason, or above the fray, ever again.

It’s called Evenifhesreleased.com, a reference to the response given by new Jaguars GM David Caldwell when asked Tebow in January: “I can’t imagine a scenario where he’d be a Jaguar, even if he’s released.” As of this morning, the site had receiver over 31,000 clicks. Explains John Caputo, president of Bold City Brigade, the organization behind the URL: “We are inspired to counter anything or anyone that chooses to attack or spread ignorance about our fan base. We aim to do it in a tasteful and tactful manner, which represents our mission and members.” On the opposite end of the Tim Tebow spectrum, some Jacksonville fans have urged President Obama to get involved in their team acquiring the ex-Heisman Trophy winner. In addition to Wade Robson’s allegations , Michael Jackson’s life is back in the news this week because of his family’s wrongful death lawsuit against AEG Live. Then again, MJ’s former attorney suggested this week that Robson may have been motivated to come forward by AEG, his former concert promoter. In any case, days before his death, the King of Pop told Kenny Ortega, the producer of the ill-fated This Is It tour, that “God keeps talking to me.” Ortega and associate producer Alif Sankey testified that they became increasingly alarmed at Jackson’s frail appearance during his final rehearsals. Sankey was so worried that at one point she began crying. During a June 19, 2009 rehearsal, Jackson looked “extremely thin” and “was not speaking normally” as he was being fitted for his stage clothes. Six days later, Michael Jackson died. Sankey was so shaken up even before he passed away that she says she called Ortega “because I had a very strong feeling that Michael was dying.” “I was screaming into the phone at that point,” she added of the star’s apparently declining health. “I said he needs to be put in the hospital now.” Shortly thereafter, a meeting was called at Jackson’s house with Jackson, Dr. Conrad Murray , AEG Live President Randy Phillips and Ortega. Phillips then sent an email praising Murray, who’s now doing time for manslaughter, as a man “who I am gaining immense respect for as I deal with him more.” The email added, “This doctor is extremely successful [we check everyone out] and does not need this gig, so he [is] totally unbiased and ethical.” Therein lies the rub. In their wrongful death lawsuit, the Jackson family claims that AEG and Phillips did not properly check out Murray’s background. If they had, they would have found he was saddled with debt and was desperate to keep his high-paying job treating Jackson, even if it meant crossing the line. As such, they want $40 BILLION In damages. In the meanwhile, Wade Robson, a choreographer who knew Jackson when he was a boy, said Michael Jackson sexually abused him repeatedly. Wade made the claims years after denying the same exact thing during MJ’s molestation trial. His reason for the flip-flop at this moment in time? That he had a nervous breakdown from long-repressed sexual trauma and it torpedoed his career. He is seeking damages from MJ’s estate as a result. Michael’s lawyer during the molestation trial, Tom Mesereau, has suggested that the timing is curious to say the least, and questioned his motives.

National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre has sparked controversy, again, this time by linking the Boston bombing to the ongoing gun control debate . In the NRA chief’s view, it all boils down to a simple, rhetorical question: “How many Bostonians wish they had a gun two weeks ago?” “Imagine living in a large metro area where lawful firearms ownership is heavily regulated and discouraged,” he said at the annual NRA convention in Houston. “Imagine waking up to a phone call from the police, warning that a terrorist event is occurring outside and ordering you to stay inside your home.” “I’m talking, of course, about Boston, where residents were imprisoned behind the locked doors of their homes, a terrorist with bombs and guns just outside.” “Frightened citizens, sheltered in place, with no means to defend themselves or their families from whatever may come crashing through the door.” “How many Bostonians wished they had a gun two weeks ago?” he asked. “How many other Americans now ponder that life-or-death question?” LaPierre is the most public face of the NRA, which has determinedly fought efforts by President Barack Obama and Congress to strengthen gun laws. He is as unabashed as he is aggressive in fighting for what he believes in: “The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” “Boston proves it,” he said. “When brave law enforcement officers did their jobs so courageously, good guys with guns stopped terrorists with guns.” Is he exploiting a tragedy to make his point? No, he argues. In fact, it’s the Obama administration and gun control activists who are doing the exploiting.
