W e are all still missing the Queen of Soul who passed away on  August 16, 2018. However, her life is going to be celebrated by the one and only — Tyler Perry.  SEE ALSO:  Some No Name, Pitchy R&B Singer Disrespected Keith Sweat And Gets Demolished On Twitter The special will be called “Aretha! A GRAMMY Celebration For The Queen Of Soul” and will be taped on Jan. 13 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. No on when the show will air but it will be televised on CBS. Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement to Grammy.com , “For more than six decades, her extraordinary artistic achievements coupled with her passionate dedication to her philanthropic work — which ranged from children’s and artists’ issues to civil rights activism — served as a testament to her power, majesty, and genius. These gifts positioned her as a true cultural icon, and the Recording Academy is honored to celebrate her inspirational legacy.” The legendary Clive Davis also said, “I am thrilled to have the Recording Academy and CBS as partners in this global tribute to my very dear friend Aretha Franklin. Aretha was more than the Queen of Soul; she was a national treasure. This unique concert — featuring many of today’s greatest artists — will celebrate Aretha in a spectacular manner befitting her once-in-a-lifetime talent.” Grammy.com reports the performers will be Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Alessia Cara, Kelly Clarkson, Common, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Patti LaBelle, and BeBe Winans . This clearly will be an epic performance. In other news, TMZ reports, “The IRS claims Franklin owes more than $6.3 million in back taxes from 2012 to 2018, and an additional $1.5 mil in penalties.” The site also reports, “Her lawyer also filed docs in October demanding the estate pony up nearly $54k to cover bills dating back 6 years. A Lil Positivity: Southern California Freeway Renamed To Honor President Obama

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty California Honors President Obama With A Freeway Tribute Sometimes a reminder that life was once so much simpler is necessary, and what better way to take a walk–or rather, a drive–down memory lane than with a freeway named after President Obama ? Now, residents of Los Angeles can get that reminder during their daily commute; Signs honoring Barack Obama were installed on a stretch of the 134 Freeway this week. The route from State Route 2 in Glendale to Interstate 210 in Pasadena was completed this week, according to reports from   USA Today , after being signed into law back in September 2017. Locals are known to love 44, but the placement is also a tribute to the period of time in Obama’s youth when he attended college at Occidental College in Eagle Rock from 1979 to 1981 and later lived in Pasadena. Barack Obama has been out of office for two years now, so it’s only right that he starts getting a few things named in his honor. Back in August, the city of Los Angeles also announced plans to rename Rodeo Road to Obama Boulevard. LA is really going all out here, huh? It’s official: our City Council has voted to rename Rodeo Road to Obama Boulevard! Kim Kardashian: Ready to DIVORCE Kanye Over Drake Beef?!

If you were on Twitter last week, you had a front-row seat for the appalling spectacle of a high-profile, unhinged lunatic railing against his enemies in the kind of tantrum one rarely finds outside of a pre-K classroom. But enough about President Donald John Trump; we’re here to talk about Kanye West’s feud with Drake . Come to think of it, “feud” might not be the right word for this situation, as the altercation was almost entirely one-sided. Kanye attacked his former friend for everything from making jokes about the sneakers he designs to allegedly contacting Kris Jenner on the sly. At one point, Kanye dragged Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, into the situation, alleging that Scott and Drake had filled their lyrics with subtle “sneak disses” directed at Kanye. “F–k that sickomode song Family first and always,” Kanye tweeted at one point, referring to a collaboration between Travis and Drake. Kim Kardashian defended her husband at one point, calling him “the most genius person that I know.” But for the most part, she kept her distance from the feud. Now, insiders are claiming that Kim was appalled by her husband’s outburst, and according to one source, she currently feels that “divorce is the only option.” Now, you might think that Kim would be used to Kanye’s outbursts by this point, as Yeezy takes to social media to boast that he’s off his meds about once a month. But this time is different for at least two reasons: For one thing, by dragging Travis into the fray, Kanye involved Kim’s family, and Kim is nothing if not protective of her sisters. (It’s one of those situations where she can talk as much smack as she wants, but outsiders better keep their mouths shut.) On top of that, Kim reportedly feels that by stirring up drama on social media, Kanye is threatening his family’s safety. “The more crap Kanye talks, the more and more Kim feels unsafe,” the source  tells Radar Online. It’s not hard to see why the mother of three might feel this way. After all, it’s only been two years since Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. And just last month, gunmen opened fire at the filming of a Tekashi69 music video , at a time when Kanye was rumored to be on set. Kanye wasn’t actually there at the time, and no one was injured, but we’re sure that this is all much more drama and violence than Kim would prefer in her life. “Kanye continues to throw Kim and her family into the fire and she is constantly getting threats and harassment,” the source continues. “It is just past the point of getting old and Kim is so fed up with all of this.” Obviously, Kim and Kanye divorce rumors are nothing new, but if anything would prompt Kim to pull the plug on her marriage, it would be the feeling that her husband is creating an unsafe environment for their children. S ocial media users helped investigators in Louisiana to capture two white men accused of terrorizing a Black woman at a Walmart parking lot in November. SEE ALSO: FBI Investigates Neo-Nazis Who Stomped Black Man While Celebrating ‘Martyr’s Day’ The West Monroe Police Department arrested 22-year-old Dylan Reynolds and Michael Walters , 24, on Thursday night and charged them with a hate crime, the News Star reported. Reynolds and Walters confronted the woman–calling her the N-word–when she was trying to load items she purchases into her vehicle on Nov. 29, according to the police. The unidentified woman packed her car in a hurry, jumped in her car and drove away while the two men continued yelling racial slurs at her. When her car slowed down for a speed bump, one of the suspects chased her vehicle on foot while pushing an empty shopping cart. He slammed the cart into the rear of her car, causing more than $1,000 in damages and putting her safety at risk while she tried to escape. The men jumped into a dark gray Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck and fled, but they were caught on the store’s surveillance cameras. The investigation involved eight neo-Nazis arrested for assaulting an African-American DJ at a nightclub in Lynnwood. Martyr’s Day, Dec. 8, commemorates the anniversary of a hateful white man who led a domestic terrorist group called The Order in the mid-1980s. He has become an inspiration for the modern white supremacy movement after he was killed in a shootout with FBI agents in Washington state, according to the  Southern Poverty Law Center , a hate crimes watchdog organization. In West Monroe, the police launched a manhunt for Reynolds and Walters after they fled the Walmart parking lot. Social media users identified the Dodge truck on Reynolds’ Facebook page and recognized the duo from the surveillance video. Bond for each man was set at $20,000 on the hate crime charge. Though some have said that Bristol Palin can't handle being a Teen Mom OG star , she has certainly faced her share of drama. But one element of her life seem to have stabilized in very recent weeks. Lately, Bristol has been talking — no, gushing — to fans and followers about her ex, Dakota Meyer. She says that the two of them have been doing a stellar job of co-parenting Sailor Grace, whom they share. And Bristol isn't the only one who's happy with their arrangement or raving about the other online. Dakota has had even more to say about Bristol. Are these two getting back together? 1. Bristol and Dakota are in a good place The pair of exes have had some difficult, trying times. That’s why they are exes. But from what they are both saying, it sounds like things are so much better these days. 2. Bristol gushed about Dakota During a recent Instagram Q&A, Bristol awarded her ex a glowing review. 3. Things are improving! “We have made incredible strides the last several weeks,” Bristol announced to fans. 4. David Eason Makes Terrorist Threats; Secret Service Swarms Jenelle Evans’ Land

If you follow him on social media, you know David Eason's gun collection is his favorite thing to talk about. His next favorite topic is politics, which seems to be the case with a lot of people who are obsessed with guns. Unfortunately, David has a hard time separating his gun posts from his political posts. And as a result, he received a visit today from the Secret Service. Turns out, threatening the president can get you into trouble. Who knew! Here's what we know so far about this bizarre situation: 1. The Gunslinger David loves guns. In fact, he’s bragged about the fact that he’s always packing, and he says one of his greatest concerns is that the government will take his weapons away. 2. David and His Weapon Recently, David posted this video on his Instagram page. The caption raised some red flags with government officials. 3. Bump This “They will say I’ve gone off the deep end just wait for it! #bangbangbang #bumpfire #bumpthis #nancypelosi #trump #maga,” David wrote. 4. Terroristic It’s not hard to see how Eason’s post could be interpreted as a threat against Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi. 5. Not Messing Around The government doesn’t take this sort of thing lightly, and so, David and wife Jenelle Eason received a visit from the Secret Service today. 6. The Feds Come Calling David posted a video on Instagram, which he says was taken seconds after he finished speaking to a Secret Service agent. View Slideshow

Kim Kardashian and Alice Marie Johnson: See Them Meet!

Kim Kardashian has done a few things right in her life. Three of them have first names of North, Saint and Chicago. Those kids are adorable and clearly well cared for. The fourth also has a name: Alice Marie Johnson. As you likely know by now, Kim learned about Johnson several months ago and how she was imprisoned for life in Alabama for a first-time drug offense. From there, Kim made it her mission to free Johnson; to earn her clemency from President Donald Trump. The former sex tape star actually met with the Commander–in-Chief in the Oval Office and actually achieved this goal in June. Say whatever you want about Kim – she has earned the wrath of critics for many reasons – but this was something very, very awesome that she managed to do. It's as simple as that. “I feel like my life is starting over again,” Johnson said upon her release, referring to Kim as an “angel” and adding: “She has truly been relentless in her fight for me… this is not a publicity thing for her. She has never stopped fighting for me. She's an incredible woman, an amazing woman.” On this Sunday's Season 5 finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, viewers will get to watch Kardashian and Johnson actually meet for the first time. It's a legitimately emotional moment. In the clip featured here, Johnson refers to the reaction she's received as a “lovefest,” while Kim says she has learned “so much about criminal justice.” She thinks the system is messed up. What will she do going forward to help fix it? We don't know. But check out the footage here to see what she has done so far.
