Let's be real with ourselves for a minute: if anyone could bring on an actual apocalypse, like an honest to goodness, for real apocalypse, it would be Donald Trump, right? His amount of power plus his amount of ignorance … it's just not that hard to imagine. And, according to this glorious skit Saturday Night Live aired last night, it could happen sooner than we think. Yes, Alec Baldwin brought his half-hilarious, half-terrifying Trump impression back to SNL last night, and instead of poking fun at something ridiculous the president has already done, they looked to the future. One year into the future, specifically, which is when they predict “aliens from the planet Zorblatt 9” will land on earth and kill us all. An Army troop is gathered, determined to save the human race from the aliens, who are quickly destroying the world. But before they begin their mission, Trump has some words to share. He rambles for a moment — so true to real life, right? — and someone asks him what they should do. Trump's response? “We are going to bring coal back.” Is it funny or tragic? Then again, isn't that always the question? Baldwin's Trump throws in an Arnold Schwarzenegger jab , a reference to “fake news,” and he even manages to work in a racist joke! The official cause of Bill Paxton’s death has been revealed following the 61-year-old acting great’s tragic passing two weekends ago. Paxton died February 25 at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, as confirmed by his family. Now we know the reasons why. According to the death certificate, obtained by TMZ, his death triggered by an aneurysm that required surgery which resulted in a stroke. Paxton had just undergone valve replacement surgery to correct an aortic aneurysm problem, and complications arose from the operation. Eleven days later, he suffered the fatal stroke. The death certificate states that Bill had the surgery on February 14 and died on February 25, which is consistent with his family’s statement. “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery,” the family said then. Having left this world far too soon, he leaves behind a legacy in film and TV that ranks him among the all-time greats in his profession. “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable,” the statement continued. His passion for the arts was matched by fans’ passion for his work in them, as evidenced by his impressive, almost underrated resume. Tombstone, Apollo 13 , and A Simple Plan are just a few of Bill’s movie roles that have enjoyed immense popularity throughout the years. Paxton was also a highly regarded TV actor, especially within the last decade, when he starred on HBO’s polygamy drama Big Love . On top of five seasons headlining that series, Paxton was also nominated an Emmy Award for 2012’s The Hatfields and the McCoys . He was starring in CBS’ Training Day at the time of his death. The native Texan’s first brush with fame was entirely accidental; Bill witnessed the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. A photo of an eight-year-old Bill being lifted onto his dad’s shoulders still hangs in a museum commemorating the life and death of JFK. As an aspiring actor, he played a number of low-budget, bit film roles upon moving to Hollywood before landing his big break in a 1980s classic. Bill met a young director named James Cameron on the set of The Terminator , and a part in that film is what allowed his career to take off. Their relationship grew, and Paxton went on to star in some of Cameron’s best-known films, including the box office behemoth Titanic . No film had made nearly as much money as the 1997 love story – a classic two decades later and still among the highest-grossing ever. Forgive the obvious opener, but… … Arnold Schwarzenegger will NOT be back. The actor-turned-Govenor-turned-reality-TV-host said hasta la vista, baby to Celebrity Apprentice on Friday, announcing that he will not return to the NBC series for a second season. The star, of course, took over for Donald Trump as host for the latest installment of this franchise. And that was basically the entire problem Schwarzenegger explained via statement. “I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett,” the 69-year old said, adding: “Everyone – from the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department – was a straight 10, and I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage.” Ah, yes. This baggage . Schwarzenegger is referring to the fact that Donald Trump stayed on as Executive Producer of Celebrity Apprentice, despite being elected President of the United States in November. This cast a controversial shadow over the program before it even premiered in January. “With Trump being involved in the show, people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show,” Arnold continued. “It’s a very divisive period now, and I think this show got caught up in all that division.” It didn’t exactly help that Trump actively trash-talked his predecessor over the show’s dwindling ratings. “Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT,” Trump Tweeted on Friday, January 6 . He added at the time: “So much for being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported [John] Kasich & Hillary [Clinton].” Schwarzenegger responded by slamming Trump as a “skunk,” and later tweeted to the commander in chief himself: “I wish you the best of luck and I hope you’ll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings.” Celebrity Apprentice did struggle in the ratings this season, but it also decreased over the course of Trump’s run. NBC has yet to pick up the show for another run, following Matt Iseman emerging victorious in the season finale that aired last month. Earlier this month, on Febrauary 7, Muhammad Ali Jr., the son of boxing great Muhammad Ali, and is mother Khalilah Camacho-Ali who was the boxer’s second wife were returning to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after visiting Jamaica for a Black History Month speaking engagement in Montego Bay when customs officials pulled them aside because of their “Arabic-sounding” names. USA Today reports that the officials let Camacho-Ali go after she showed them a photo of herself and her former husband, but family lawyer Chris Mancini says Ali Jr. was held for almost two hours and repeatedly asked questions about his name including: “Where did you get your name from?” and “Are you Muslim?” After Ali Jr. responded that he is a Muslim, he continued to be barraged with questions about his religion and place of birth — stupid because they had his U.S. passport which lists Philadelphia as his birthplace. “The line of questioning is indicative of profiling and designed to produce answers that corroborate what officials want to hear,” Mancini said. Neither Camacho-Ali nor Ali Jr. have ever been subjected to detainment before, despite extensive global travel experience, he said. “To the Ali family, it’s crystal clear that this is directly linked to Mr. Trump’s efforts to ban Muslims from the United States,” Mancini said, referring to President Trump’s executive order signed Jan. 27 that instituted a ban for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries. Mancini said he and the Ali family are contemplating filing a federal lawsuit and are currently trying to find out how many other people have been subjected to the same treatment as Ali Jr. “Imagine walking into an airport and being asked about your religion,” he said. “This is classic customs profiling.” Just INSANE!!! At this point, it’s hard to be surprised by anything that Azealia Banks says, does, or tweets. Azealia feuds with just about everyone who crosses her path, especially those who dare to criticize President Donald Trump. Yes, for reasons that aren’t particularly clear (even/especially to her) Azealia is a yuuuuuge Trump supporter. In fact, she’s so hardcore in her beliefs that Banks went off on Rihanna last week for speaking out against Trump’s controversial Muslim ban. “This is all stupid and wrong. Is she even American??? Can she even vote???” Banks tweeted, and if she’d only squeezed in the words “cuck” and “snowflake,” she would’ve perfectly captured the tone of the typical irate Trump troll. Azealia is black, a woman, an artist, a young person, a supporter of the LGBTQ community, and (we’re just guessing, considering the way her career has kind of bottomed out) a non-millionaire – which makes her a member of half a dozen groups that aren’t particularly well-represented aboard the Trump Train. Of course, she also sacrifices chickens in her apartment as part of her witchcraft ceremonies, so pointing out inconsistencies in Azealia’s political ideology is a bit like calling Charles Manson crazy for pouring the milk in his bowl before the cereal. This story comes to us courtesy of the Lana Del Rey fan page Planet Del Rey, which claims that Azealia has turned on her former friend Lana for jokingly (we think) threatening to take Trump down with witchcraft. Lana recently posted a tweet asking fans to find “ingredients” online and use them “at the stroke of midnight.” We’re old and easily confused by both hip young Millennials and social media, so we would’ve thought that Lana was organizing a good old-fashioned Meth cook-off. But the singer’s fans insist it was some sort of sly reference to bewitching the Donald, and apparently Azealia didn’t care for it one bit: “Leave that motherf-cker alone,” Banks allegedly tweeted. “You witches are only going to make Trump stronger. *rolls eye* hashtag. White girl magic.” She added: “No shade I will go toe to toe with these white witches because Hillary Clinton losing was a major loss for white feminism.” She later confirmed that she was referring to Lana in response to a fan’s query. The tweets appear to have been deleted, but as you can see, Planet Del Rey came equipped with receipts. We’d say this all seems a tad ludicrous, but this is Azealia Banks we’re talking about.
