The Coupled Up Carters Celebrate Yoncé’s G Day At Made In America

Beyonce And Jay Z Show Off Their Love At Made In America Festival Made in America was made especially special Sunday by BeyBey’s birthday , which she celebrated along with friends Kelly Rowland, La La and Carmelo Anthony, cousin Angie Beyince and of course hubby Hov. Also along for the fun was Bill Clinton, who chatted up the whole crew… But the big story is of course Bey and Hov’s PDA filled date night. According to E!News reports : “They were acting very affectionate and dancing with each other near the stage,” an eyewitness shared with E! News. “Jay Z had his arms around her and kissed Beyoncé during the show. He was dancing behind her the whole concert.” In fact, the pair almost fit in with the crowd as Jay Z wore a Chicago Bulls jersey with a denim jacket. Meanwhile, Beyoncé looked stunning in ripped denim shorts, an amazon-themed top and a green beaded jacket while sipping on D’USSÉ. “They looked madly in love,” our insider shared. “She told Jay she loves him.” While moving and shaking to the hits, Beyoncé received a few special shout outs from the stage including one from Chris Martin. “We want to say happy birthday to Mrs. Carter who is out here somewhere,” he shared during his set. “Can you believe she’s 107 years old? Happy birthday Bey.” Hmmmm sure she was amused by that. Seriously though — where did they get the quotes from? Who overheard Bey whispering sweet nothings? E! News has also learned that the birthday girl ran into Malia Obama and former President Bill Clinton during the Labor Day weekend music festival. Not too shabby for a Sunday night out. “Malia was dancing with Jay Z and she was smiling,” an eyewitness shared with us. “Beyoncé and Jay gave Malia a hug too.” Earlier in the day, E! News caught up with Kelly who was more than excited to ring in her close friend’s big day. In fact, the “Motivation” singer revealed the special gift she gave the Grammy winner. “Well, diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” Kelly told us exclusively. “I got her diamonds!” “I am super excited to be here and hear all the artists,” the former Destiny’s Child member continued. “We are all going to be celebrating this festival and Beyoncé’s birthday.” Diamonds are always nice. We hope Bey got some from Hov too. SplashNews Hit the flip for more photos from the festival.

Lena Dunham Issues Formal Apology to Odell Beckham Jr.

Lena Dunham would like to put this month’s most unexpected feud to rest. She’d like to apologize to New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. The Girls actress and creator stirred up a bit of controversy this week after making comments to Amy Schumer in an interview for the Lenny Letter website. Dunham thought back to this spring’s MET Gala in New York City and her awkward experience there, talking to Schumer about what it was like to sit next to Beckham Jr. “It was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards,” Dunham explained . She went on to make some big assumptions about what the wide receiver was thinking. Although the main crux of her point was how she did not fit in such at this sort of fashionable event. “He was like, ‘That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.’ It wasn’t mean – he just seemed confused,” Lena continued. “The vibe was very much like, ‘Do I want to f-ck it? Is it wearing a … yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.'” Critics came out in force after Dunham made these comments because they were based solely on conjecture and they didn’t pain Beckham Jr. in a great light. Dunham concluded at the time: “It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bow tie. “I was like, ‘This should be called the Metropolitan Museum of Getting Rejected by Athletes.'” After reading the backlash, Dunham Tweeted that Beckham was “super awesome” and she was simply being self-deprecating. Her comments were all about her and not about him at all. But now she’s issued a more formal apology. “I owe Odell Beckham Jr an apology,” Dunham wrote on Instagram yesterday. She added: “Despite my moments of bravado, I struggle at industry events (and in life) with the sense that I don’t rep a certain standard of beauty and so when I show up to the Met Ball surrounded by models and swan-like actresses it’s hard not to feel like a sack of flaming garbage.” She continued: “This felt especially intense with a handsome athlete as my dinner companion and a bunch of women I was sure he’d rather be seated with. “But I went ahead and projected these insecurities and made totally narcissistic assumptions about what he was thinking, then presented those assumptions as facts. “I feel terrible about it.” For the record, Beckham Jr. is one of the most exciting players in the NFL and may have dated Khloe Kardashian this summer. He has not commented on the flap. With accusations of white privilege and reverse sexism floating around the Internet, Dunham concluded as follows: “Because after listening to lots of valid criticism, I see how unfair it is to ascribe misogynistic thoughts to someone I don’t know AT ALL. Like, we have never met, I have no idea the kind of day he’s having or what his truth is. “But most importantly, I would never intentionally contribute to a long and often violent history of the over-sexualization of black male bodies- as well as false accusations by white women towards black men. “I’m so sorry, particularly to OBJ, who has every right to be on his cell phone. “The fact is I don’t know about his state of mind (I don’t know a lot of things) and I shouldn’t have acted like I did.” Seems like a pretty in-depth apology to us. Case closed? Case closed.

But they don’t worship Tom Hanks. They don’t bow down in front of Tom Hanks. They just think he’s a great actor and really nice guy. Chris Brown? Just kidding. So that leaves us with Beyonce. She has her detractors, yes. Just ask form New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani how he feels about her proactive stance when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement. But we still challenge anyone to find a celebrity who is more universally beloved and respected than Beyonce Knowles. Just consider: She makes her voice heard on important topics. Rest In Peace: Mexican Superstar Singer-Songwriter Juan Gabriel Dead At The Age Of 66

Mexican Superstar Singer-Songwriter Juan Gabriel Dead At The Age Of 66 Mexican superstar Juan Gabriel has passed away after entertaining generations of people for years according to NPR reports Juan Gabriel, a singular superstar who transcended borders and the trappings of gender with meticulously crafted pop songs and a flamboyant showmanship that earned the nickname the “divo of Juarez,” has died, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Juan Gabriel was 66 years old and he was found at a residence in Santa Monica with no apparent foul play. Mexican President Enrique Peña-Nieto tweeted his condolences calling him one of the country’s “greatest musical icons.” “His music is a legacy for the world,” Peña Nieto said. “He has left us too soon. May he rest in peace.” Juan Gabriel wrote pop songs and rock songs. He sang with mariachis and full-blown orchestras, producing dozens of hits. Other artists recorded his songs and on occasion he recorded theirs. He recently covered Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Have You Ever Seen the Rain. Juan Manuel Caipo, who produced that album, said it showed what a chameleon the singer-songwriter was. Caipo says in that sense Juan Gabriel was a lot like Prince. Rest in peace to this legendary entertainer! YT Continue reading

Oscar’s Chair Says The Birth Of A Nation Is “Too Important” To Toss Out Over Rape Allegations

Cheryl Boone Isaacs Defends The Birth Of A Nation Cheyrl Boone Isaacs , the newest President of the Motion Picture Academy isn’t on board with the American Film Institute’s decision to scrap the screening of The Birth Of A Nation after news of Nate Parker’s old rape case have come to light. Cheryl, who’s been championing more diversity in the Oscars, says that in this situation, it’s most appropriate to judge the art, separate from the artist himself… Via TMZ : “The Birth of a Nation” is a movie every American absolutely needs to see — regardless of star and director Nate Parker’s old rape trial … at least that’s how the Oscars honcho sees it. Cheryl Boone Isaacs, Prez of the Motion Picture Academy, talked to us Thursday about the potential backlash. The American Film Institute canceled a screening of the movie this week, and Parker’s come under fire since details of the 2001 trial were released. Parker was acquitted, but Isaacs doesn’t think moviegoers should be concerned with that anyway. It’s a strong point of view, considering Isaacs’ gender, and her position in the Academy … which has been skewered for a lack of diversity in nominated films. Welp, with the dirt on other lauded actors directors and screenwriters in Hollywood that routinely gets swept under the rug…can you say you disagree? TMZ/YouTube

Hope Solo: Suspended By U.S. Women’s Soccer!

Soccer star Hope Solo has been suspended from the U.S. Women’s National Team for six months, the organization announced on Wednesday. The athlete will be ineligible to compete until February . Here disciplinary action comes after the goalkeeper, who helped Team USA to gold in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, lashed out in Rio. Hope slammed the Swedish women’s soccer team after the U.S. was stunningly defeated and knocked out of medal contention early. Sunil Gulati, the president of the organization, criticized “the comments by Hope Solo after the match against Sweden at the 2016 Olympics.” Solo’s comments “were unacceptable and do not meet the standard of conduct we require from our National Team players,” Gulati said.  “Beyond the athletic arena and beyond the results” of the match, “the Olympics celebrate the ideals of fair play and respect.” The USWNT felt Solo didn’t live up to those ideals. “We expect all of our representatives to honor those principles,” Gulati said, explaining the suspension, “with no exceptions.” After the August 12 defeat, Solo said she thought the losing Team USA played a “courageous game,” while Sweden … did not. “I think we showed a lot of heart. We came back from a goal down. I’m very proud of this team,” the controversial star began. “But I also think we played a bunch of cowards,” she said. “The best team did not win today. I strongly believe that.” Obviously, her comments did not go over too well. Swedish coach Pia Sundhage, who previously coached Team USA to those two Olympic gold medals, blasted the goalie for her attitude.  “We won the game. They played more attacking football than we did. We defended very well,” Sundhage told  The Los Angeles Times .  “It’s OK to be a coward if you win.”  In response, Solo retweeted  Sports Illustrated ‘s full transcript of her much-discussed quote and admitted that she’s not the best loser. “Losing sucks. I’m really bad at it,” she wrote. Hope Solo Taunted by “ZIKA” Chants in Olympic Opener That wasn’t sufficient to avoid a suspension, but at least it was honest; Hope does not mince words, or hold back her actions. After posting photos that some felt were disrespectful about the host nation, Solo was taunted with “Zika” chants earlier in the games. This isn’t Solo’s first brush with trouble. In 2015, she was benched for 30 days for “an incident that occurred during the current WNT training camp” that was held in Carson, Calif. Allegedly, there was drunken driving of the team van  by her husband, who’s been by her side throughout a few of Solo’s lower points. Hope was arrested for domestic violence in 2014, and has been involved in some eyebrow-raising incidents with Jerramy Stevens (below):
