Congrats champ! We have all benefitted from people like yourself who weren’t afraid to speak their minds about what’s right and what’s wrong. Image via Tumblr Source
The economy. The war in Afghanistan. Nicki Minaj. Barack Obama tackled all the important issues this morning during a radio interview with Orlando radio station Power 95.3. Asked about Minaj’s supposed endorsement of Mitt Romney – she rapped in a verse from “Mercy” that ” I’m a Republican ” – Obama sounded rather confident that his Presidential opponent doesn’t actually have the vote of this rumored American Idol judge. “I’m not sure that’s exactly what happened,” Obama says in the following video. “She likes to play different characters.”
Yo Mitt! Didn’t your Mom teach you that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover? In pure stupidity, a baffled Mitt Robney chats up a Vet during a PR stop back in 2011. Mitt ends up getting an earful as the Vet school’s him WHILE his hubby is sitting across from him! This fool should be ashamed of himself for the simple fact that his azz can sit there and tell this Vet he doesn’t deserve equal rights in the very country he fought for??? He probably went and washed his hands in his million dollar campaign trailer and dried them off with $100 bills. SMH Source Images via Youtube/WENN

Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan has cited Rage Against the Machine as one of his favorite bands in a number of interviews. According to band member Tom Morello, the admiration is far from mutual. In a blistering Rolling Stone op-ed , Morello absolutely BLASTS Mitt Romney’s VP pick as “the embodiment of the machine our music rages against.” Morello compares Ryan’s appreciation of RATM to N.J. Gov. Chris Christie’s liking for Bruce Springsteen … or Charles Manson’s love for The Beatles. Painting him as “antithetical” to progress, Morello lambasts the Congressman’s “guiding vision of shifting revenue more radically to the one percent.” He goes on to observe that Paul Ryan has plenty of “rage,” but claims it’s “A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment.” Ouch. The Grammy-winning guitarist has a history of outspoken activism, but he’s far from alone in wanting to separate his music from the GOP ticket. Wednesday, Silversun Pickups tore into Mitt Romney for playing their hit “Panic Switch” at an event … and joked that the title symbolizes his campaign. Sorry, Mitt and Paul. The deep thoughtful look, the craggy face — the signature beard. Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis resonates as Abraham Lincoln in this first shot of him in full character for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming epic about the nation’s 16th president, Lincoln . Paparazzi snapped photos of a bearded Day-Lewis at a diner last year, but on Tuesday morning, EW.com posted this exclusive shot of Day-Lewis in period costume for the highly anticipated movie that will be released on Nov. 9, just three days after the 2012 Presidential election. The site also addresses reports that Day-Lewis, known for his immersive acting techniques, prepared for the role of the mid-19th Century president “by avoiding the trappings of 21st — not to mention 20th — century life during the shoot”. Not so, says Spielberg, who tells EW : “Daniel was always conscious of his contemporary surroundings” and “never went into a fugue state. He did not channel Lincoln. All that stuff is just more about gossip than it is about technique.” Those on the set, including Spielberg, did, however refer to Day-Lewis as “Mr. President,” but the Jaws director says that was about maintaining atmosphere. “I was calling [all] the actors by their character names,” he tells EW . “That was something I felt was important to establish a little authenticity, maybe even more for me than for them.” Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. It’s an issue Democrats will not let go of, and one even many Republicans now believe must be addressed: Mitt Romney has released tax returns from 2010 and 2011. But he has so far refused to delve further into his past, raising questions about what sort of loopholes or offshore accounts the Presidential candidate is hiding. “We’ve given all people need to know and understand about our financial situation and about how we live our life,” Ann Romney said today on Good Morning America. But even prominent conservatives such as Haley Barbour think Romney ought be more forthright, and a USA Today survey of 539 adults show one-third of Republicans agree . It hasn’t been the best week for Romney. He was booed during an NAACP after making a comment about Obamacare . Where do you stand on the tax return issue? Should Romney release more documents?
