Beverly Hilton Hotel Staffers Fired

Here is the original post:

I am happy management at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in L.A. where Whitney Houston passed away took action on employees who violated hotel policy by speaking to the media about the singer’s death. A source says the staffers were not high level employees, but added that the hotel did not want anyone to talk about Whitney at all. It is way too much disrespect going on with Whitney’s death. People will do anything for a quick dollar or fame. Source Radaronline.com

Pilar Sanders Sues Deion Sanders For 200 Million

See the original post:

Wow! This is the trashest divorce I have seen play out in the press in years In Pilar’s lawsuit she claims Deiondra and Deion have been attacking her with various “emotional weapons” for years … including dominance, humiliation, isolation, threats, intimidation, denial and blame. Pilar claims the Twitter rant was just another example of the humiliation she was forced to endure during the marriage … adding, “[Deion and Deiondra] even persuaded [Pilar] that she was and is worthless, a ‘gold diggin’ ho, and that no one else would want her. “Pilar also claims the two would intimidate her by leaving various weapons on display around the house and “hurting pets.” The details of the alleged animal abuse are not explained in the suit. Pilar is demanding $150 MILLION in punitive damages and $50 mil in actual damages. Her attorney Larry Friedman tells TMZ Pilar also wants a public apology — and adds … she “passed a polygraph test confirming” she didn’t cheat on Deion. I dont know who is telling the truth but I do know I used to have so much respect for Pilar and now I dont!

Adele Tells Vogue She’s ‘Done With Being A Bitter Witch’

Grammy winner graces the March cover and tells the magazine that she’s ‘never writing a breakup record again.’ By Jocelyn Vena Adele Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Shortly after winning six Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) night, Adele told reporters in the press room that “it hasn’t really sunk in,” and in a just released interview and cover story with Vogue (which had been rumored late last year), she opened up about her pre-Grammys nerves and her hope that she would take home some Grammy gold for her chart-topping, record-breaking 21 . “I burst into tears when I found out,” she told the magazine about her nominations. “And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.” (She eventually went on to sweep the show, winning the night’s big prizes, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.) On Sunday, she triumphantly returned to the stage to characteristically belt out her star-making breakup track, “Rolling in the Deep.” And when she spoke to Vogue in late 2011 for the interview, she already knew that was the song she wanted to return with. “I’m definitely going to be singing ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ ” she teased. “Because that’s been the biggest hit off the record in America. But I’m going to mix up a little bit — do a bit of a Beyonc

Kings Of Leon Put Drama Behind, Look Forward To New Album

‘I don’t think it was as big as people thought it was,’ drummer Nathan Followill says of 2011 intra-band sparring. By James Montgomery Kings of Leon attend the 2012 Grammy Awards Photo: Getty Images As anyone who’s seen their “Talihina Sky” documentary can surely attest: The Kings of Leon have never exactly been shy about hiding their familial feuds. Though things got particularly nasty — and particularly public — last August after frontman Caleb Followill abruptly left a sold-out show in Texas (reportedly suffering from “heat exhaustion and dehydration”). In the wake of the incident, the Kings not only canceled the remainder of their U.S. tour , but Caleb’s brother Jared took to Twitter to apologize to fans, and, in the process, hinted at a growing strife within the band, writing, “There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. … I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.” Of course, the band would subsequently return to the road, and those “sicknesses and problems” were never again publically addressed. So, when MTV News caught up with the Kings on the red carpet for the 54th Grammy Awards, we had to ask them: Is everything OK within the KOL camp? “Yeah, over the holidays, [you] break some bread, have some turkey, everyone makes up,” drummer Nathan Followill said. “I don’t think it was as big as people thought it was, but the press machine takes it and runs with it.” So there you have it. And for the record, not only are the Kings copacetic, but they’re getting ready to begin work on the follow-up to 2010’s Come Around Sundown, which they’ll record in their very own studio/good-time emporium in Nashville. “We just bought a rehearsal space-slash-studio in Nashville, so we’re going to spend the next few months getting that up and running; kind of make it our little clubhouse to get there and just kind of goof off whenever we want to,” Followill added. “But, I’d say within the next six months we’ll probably start kicking some stuff around.” And from the sound of things, they’ll have plenty to kick around: Caleb is already writing new material, and he’s itching to let his brothers (and cousin) have a listen. And, just in case you were wondering if he’s holding any resentment over last year’s drama, just know that he’s going to welcome their feedback. “I’ve been writing a lot. Kinda want everyone to get a little break from each other, but whenever they’re ready, I want to play some stuff,” he said. “Well, lyrics, that’s usually one of the last things I do, but the melodies are really strong, and the lyrics that I have written I think are pretty good, but we’ll see. These guys are always a good judge of if I’m going the right way with something or not.” What do you want to hear on the next Kings of Leon album? Leave your comment below. Adele ‘Absolutely Flabbergasted’ After Grammy Wins

Grammy winner also reveals she’s ready to start work on her follow-up to 21. By Jocelyn Vena Adele backstage at the 54th Grammy Awards Photo: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images It was only a few days ago that Adele swept the Grammys, taking home six trophies for her album 21 and hitting the stage for an emotional return to performing after having vocal-cord surgery back in November. In a new blog post titled “5 Was My Favourite Number But Now It Is 6,” the singer reflects on the whirlwind of the last few days. “Oh goodness!! I’m absolutely flabbergasted! In between laughing my head off, welling up, needing to sit down and trying to maintain an open fire (which is pretty much impossible huh!?), I keep having flashbacks to Sunday night. The most incredible night of my life,” she wrote. “Thank you to you all, I am so overwhelmed, it’s the strangest feeling. I have constant butterflies and goose bumps, it’s wearing me out but I LOVE it! “I’ve been sleeping a lot but the minute I wake up I burst out laughing and it starts all over again,” she continued. “I forgot to mention so many people by name on the night, and for that I’m sorry. I will say thanks to your face when I next see you. I was totally unprepared. Despite the phenomenal year, I swear I didn’t think I had any chance. All the categories were full of people I adore with brilliant songs, records and performances. So not in my wildest dreams did I think to actually prepare anything proper to say just in case.” Nestled in between giddy moments in the post, Adele was reflective about the past 12 months. “Thank you to everyone who enjoys my music, and to all the ‘daydreamers’ (I love that you call yourselves that. I read all your messages and threads from time to time and you crack me up x) it seems like you pass 21 on and want people to hear it and it’s because of that that it’s evolved into something that we should all be very proud of,” she wrote. “All of this is yours — the songs, the shows, the moments like this. Not that there’s any other moments like this one, but you get my drift … Ha! The night itself was so amazing, I met so many incredible people and everyone we’ve lost this year were on our minds and in our hearts and it was lovely to remember them all together as fans and friends.” At the end of the lengthy blog post, she addressed some comments she made in Vogue in which she noted she wanted to take five years off. Adele fans, don’t worry. She has no plans to slow down. “I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home,” she wrote about the show, where she is nominated and will perform. “And then I’m straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!” Related Videos 2012 Grammy Awards Red Carpet Highlights Grammys 2012: Experts React! Related Photos 2012 Grammy Awards: Press Room Related Artists Adele

Adele Reveals ‘Rumour Has It’ Is Next Single

The 21 track will hit radio in March. By Jocelyn Vena Adele Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Riding off the success of her six Grammy wins, Adele plans to release “Rumour Has It,” her fourth 21 single. The song’s producer and co-writer, Ryan Tedder, confirmed the news to Billboard.com on the red carpet at Sunday’s show. “I found out three days ago that I have the next single,” he said about the song, which will follow the massively successful singles “Rolling in the Deep,” “Set Fire to the Rain” and “Someone Like You.” He added, “I’m very excited about it.” The song will hit pop, adult pop and adult contemporary radio in mid-March, Adele’s label confirmed. And although that will mark the song’s official release, it had seen some radio play on adult alternative radio. It was also featured on “Glee” in December, which gave it a boost on the Billboard charts. “I’m just excited that somebody as raw and real as that has cut through at radio and cut through at culture,” Tedder said. “I’ve never seen anything like it, I feel honored to be involved with it.” News of the single comes just as Adele returned to the spotlight with a triumphant performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards , where she took the stage for the first time since throat surgery in a November. The singer performed her chart-topping track “Rolling in the Deep.” Adele also graces the March cover of Vogue, in which she reveals that while she’s focused much of her songwriting on heartbreak, her next album may touch on other subjects. “Come on! I’m wifey material! I’m great. No one’s got to be brave. It’s not like, ‘You f— me over and I’m going to write a record and make you the most hated man in the world.’ I am never writing a breakup record again, by the way,” she said. “I’m done with being a bitter witch.” Stick with MTV News all for all the Grammy red-carpet fashion , Grammy winners and Grammy and get your daily fashion fix from the editors at MTV Style. deadmau5, David Guetta Celebrate EDM’s Big Night At The Grammys

‘It’s amazing for our scene to finally get the respect that I think it deserves,’ Guetta tells MTV News. By Zachary Swickey deadmau5 performs at the 2012 Grammy Awards Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images While grandparents around the world celebrated the reunion of the Beach Boys at the 54th annual Grammy Awards , fans of electronic dance music held their glow sticks high after the dubstep movement’s leader, Skrillex (24-year-old Sonny Moore), took home three Grammys out of his impressive five nominations — not to mention the live performances from David Guetta and deadmau5 during the telecast. Skrillex — who went from fronting a screamo punk band to being a digital DJ in a few short years — managed to snag awards for Best Dance Album, Best Dance Recording (for “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites”) and Best Remix (for his “Cinema” collaboration with Benny Benassi). He lost out on his other two noms, for Best New Artist (folk crooner Bon Iver took that one ) and Best Short Form Music Video (a sweeping Adele nabbed that). Check out our top 10 EDM artists of 2011! EDM’s road to the mainstream hit a high also thanks in part to the particularly awesome pairing of Lil Wayne and Chris Brown for “I Can Only Imagine” with the turntables helmed by French super-producer David Guetta, who at 44 is finally getting some Stateside love (let’s not forget his other ridiculously catchy single “Memories” with Kid Cudi and current chart-dweller “Turn Me On” with Nicki Minaj). “It’s like having a rave outside the Grammys, and I love it!” Guetta told MTV News when asked about his performance before the show. Guetta was happy the EDM community is finally getting some Grammy love, saying, “It’s really exciting, because they wanted to acknowledge electronic dance music, and I think it’s amazing for our scene to finally get the respect that I think it deserves.” An even more surprising performance came from the Foo Fighters and their electronic-music breakdown courtesy of scene icon deadmau5 (many female fans in the crowd could even be seen donning neon “mau5-hats”) for the latter half of their hit tune “Rope.” “deadmau5 is maybe the only EDM artist I know, because we did a bunch of festivals over the summer, and for whatever reason, he would be headlining over there while we were headlining over here,” Grohl told MTV News. “I guess people thought that our audiences would split, but our audiences are compatible in a way, because what he does … rocks.” deadmau5 returned the gratitude to the Foo Fighters, telling us about their performance: “It was actually really well thought out over a month or so. Dave [and the Foo Fighters] were a natural choice for me, because I love their music.” Stick with MTV News for all the news on Whitney Houston’s tribute, the Grammy red-carpet fashion , Grammy winners and more until the hangover wears off!
