Source: Scott Olson / Getty Spokesperson Claims Some Info Leaked To The Press Was “Not Factually Accurate” The always questionable Chicago Police Department is in the hot seat now that they’ve launched an internal investigation surrounding leaks in the Jussie Smollett case. Anthony Guglielmi , a spokesman for the CPD, confirmed with ABC News that the probe was launched last month “during the interrogation of the brothers when information leaked out,” referring to the two Osundairo brothers who investigators claim staged Smollet’s hate crime attack in January. Investigators are trying to determine who anonymously leaked important info about the case to the press. “I will also add that there were several agencies briefed with information during that time and some of the information that went out was not factually accurate,” Guglielmi told ABC News on Thursday. “These types of investigations are fairly common so that we can determine if we have any integrity issues for future cases.” In February, the CPD accused Jussie of staging his attack because he was “dissatisfied with his salary.” He now faces one count of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report which could carry a three years in prison sentence plus fines.

Source: Kevin Winter / Getty Oprah Already Knows Her After Neverland Interview Will Get Hate Oprah Winfrey already knows that she’s going to be sparking some controversy with her new special After Neverland , an interview with the two men who have accused Michael Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were young. “I’m gonna get it,” the talk show host predicted during a taping of the broadcast on Wednesday. But, Oprah argued, the issue of sexual abuse is too important to remain silent no matter how much her program angers the “gloved one’s” fans. “This movie transcends Michael Jackson,” she told an audience of over 100 abuse survivors. “It allows us to see societal corruption.” The program is set to air on March 4, which comes after the second and final episode of the upcoming HBO documentary. Leaving Neverland is a four-hour investigation into the claims of Jackson accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck and Winfrey was joined on stage by the two men along with the director Dan Reed for a talk that was filled mixed emotions. Winfrey made it clear that she finds the men’s allegations credible, but the Jackson estate has continued to push back against Robson and Safechuck. Before going public with his abuse claims in 2013, Robson was known for being one of Jackson’s most avid defenders, denying the pop star had ever behaved inappropriately while serving as a key defense witness in the pop star’s 2005 child molestation trial. Safechuck also testified that he was never abused as part of the singer’s 1993 molestation trial, but declined to testify on his behalf in the follow-up trial. Both men say they were groomed by Jackson to stay quiet as he repeatedly told them that their lives would be ruined if they broke their silence.
Back in August, Samantha Markle compared her famous half-sister to Cruella de Vil, implying that Meghan Markle is all for the murder of innocent little puppies . Now, in her first interview in a few weeks, Samantha has explained why Meghan is also akin to the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. We’ll let her explain why… Sitting down for her role in a documentary called Meghan and the Markles: A Family at War , Samantha opens up about the Duchess of Sussex and her fractured relationship with her father. “She doesn’t have a heart or she would have been doing everything she could to make him comfortable and reciprocate, and be loving, and gracious and make sure he’s comfortable in his old age,” Samantha says, adding of Meghan: “She can’t turn herself into the victim here.” Samantha is referencing a letter Meghan allegedly sent her dad last summer. In this message, the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex expressed how her father’s actions, including his staged paparazzi scandal, “have broken my heart into a million pieces.” She went on to plead with her father to “stop lying, please stop creating so much pain, please stop exploiting my relationship with my husband.” This very personal letter was somehow exposed to the public three weeks ago. “That letter was strategic, it was so elegantly written and contrived,” Samantha claims of the letter in her latest trashing of Meghan. “She was basically saying that my dad had been and liar and that I was a liar.” The letter in question ran five pages in length and accused Samantha of lying to the press, of saying really mean and cruel and false things about Meghan to anyone who would listen. So… the truth, basically. But this isn’t how Samantha sees it. “I wasn’t maliciously lying,” she explains in this documentary. “I was pointing out what the world was already saying. I was pointing out that humanitarians don’t treat their fathers cruelly, was that a lie? And because the world watched it happen to my dad, they watched her do it.” Samantha and Meghan are separated by 17 years. They barely know each other. But Samantha has taken endless swipes at the Duchess for allegedly abandoning her family once she became a household name; most notably for ghosting her father , who has lived a reclusive life in Mexico for decades. Mr. Markle did NOT attend Meghan’s wedding last May to Prince Harry because he had a heart condition and also because he confessed to taking money from photographers in exchange for photos of him. Thoma Markle has since claimed (many times) that all his attempts to reach out to his well-known daughter have been rejected. Samantha, meanwhile, is hoping to shed light on her family dynamics and uncover the supposedly ugly truth in a pair tell-all books set to be released later this year. They will be titled In the Shadows of the Duchess I and In the Shadows of the Duchess II . Set to be released in April and July – matching the dates of Markle’s due date and her birthday – the memoirs will reportedly “cover everything from behind the scenes that the world does not know about…from lullabies to lies.” We don’t plan on reading them. Sounds like “inappropriate circumstances” meant more “don’t do the racist things we love in front of all these people” as opposed to “honey, that’s racist”. The mother who aired out Pam Northam is Leah Dozier Walker who works as the director of the Office of Equity and Community Engagement at the Virginia Department of Education. Her 8th grade daugther had good enough sense to not accept the cotton the Northam tried to force on her. We imagine she gave her the most legendary side-eye of all time while doing so. Clap for her. “During the tour of the Mansion Cottage, (Walker’s daughter) and two of her (fellow) pages were asked to hold cotton that the First Lady retrieved from a bowl on a nearby table,” Walker wrote in the letter. “Mrs. Northam then asked these three pages (the only African-American pages in the program) if they could imagine what it must have been like to pick cotton all day.” Walker’s daughter also had some bars for Pam Northam. The Walker women are not for play. “The comments and just the way you carried yourself during this time was beyond inappropriate, especially considering recent events with the Governor,” Walker’s daughter wrote to the first lady. “From the time we walked into the mansion to the time in the cottage house, I did not receive a welcoming vibe. It was very testing to know I had to go somewhere, and I had no choice as to if I went, I had to be respectful, and be on my best behaviour (sic), even when the people in positions of power I was around were not doing the same.” Throw this whole family away. Back in July of 2018, Demi Lovato suffered an overdose that nearly claimed her life. In the months since, Lovato checked into rehab and committed herself to the hard work of sobriety. Demi left rehab back in November, and though her loved ones were initially optimistic, in recent weeks there have been concerns about the singer’s mental state. For starters, Demi is dating Henri Levy , a fashion designer whom she met during her time in treatment. People who are new to recovery are generally discouraged from entering new romantic relationships. And they’re discouraged from dating fellow recovering addicts. Levy recently celebrated six months of sobriety, but there are concerns that if either he or Demi fall off the wagon, they’ll take the other one with them. On top of that Demi recently quit Twitter after receiving some backlash for an ill-advised joke, and there are concerns that she’s grappling with depression and anxiety. According to a new report from Radar Online, Demi has been withdrawing from her usual social circles, and loved ones are concerned about the implications of that decision. “Like she did after her overdose, she has fired everyone around her very recently and got rid of new friends in a drastic measure to save herself and sobriety,” says one insider. “She has her own apartment in the San Fernando Valley now,” the source adds. “She is definitely out of her house. The apartment is her very own and she is alone.” Normally, a 26-year-old woman moving into her own apartment would not be cause for concern, but Demi’s inner circle fears she’s falling into a familiar pattern. “Demi is living alone which can be a bad thing because she can’t be alone and she becomes co-dependent,” says the informant. Friends fear that Lovato has created a situation in which Levy is her sole means of support: “When people heard she was dating Henri, they were shocked. No one knew,” says one supporter. It was such a surprise especially so quick after nearly dying and then trying to be sober when you aren’t supposed to date anyone,” the friend adds. “It just has shown everyone that she simply can’t be alone. It’s like she doesn’t know how.” Obviously, we have no way of knowing for sure if Levy is a negative force in Lovato’s life. But it’s not hard to see why fans might be concerned that his influence seems to be growing as Demi’s world continues to shrink. Khloe Kardashian has taken a break from being all cryptic and mysterious. In her latest Twitter post, the sad reality star had acknowledged the cheating scandal surrounding her life in the most direct fashion to date. Has she trashed Tristan Thompson for once again stepping out on her? Has she thrown Jordyn Woods under the bus for allegedly making out with Thompson, despite her long-lasting friendship with Khloe? And then driven that bus over Woods’ flailing body over and over and over again just for good measure? No. She’s actually responded to this romantic mess in far more mature fashion than we ever could. Wrote Khloe on Tuesday morning: Hi loves, wanted you to know that I appreciate you! We’re about two weeks removed from Thompson reportedly spending a night at his home with Woods, the 21-year old best friend of Kylie Jenner who has also modeled in the past for Khloe’s clothing line. The scandal has affected nearly every member of this famous family. Previously, Kardashian has been hesitate to acknowledge the awful incident in any sort of detail. She chose instead to mention snakes on Instagram or to talk about how the world of full of f-cked up people . We all knew she was making allusions to Tristan and Jordyn’s behavior, but the above Tweet is the first time she’s really cited it in particular. “Khloe is still hurt. She still can’t believe that Tristan hooked up with Jordyn,” a source has told People Magazine, stating the obvious and adding: “Everyone thinks she will be better off now. Tristan won’t be able to hurt her again. For him to hook up with Jordyn is the ultimate betrayal.” Barring some sort of Tristan and Kourtney slam session, this is likely true. According to various outlets, Thompson invited Woods back to his house after hanging out at a bar with her and a bunch of other pals. Tristan and Jordyn then spent many hours on the couch together, flirting and making out, witnesses have alleged. Neither side has really denied this rumor; Woods has simply said she was drunk . We’ve all been drunk, though, right? How many of us have then jumped our BFF’s boyfriend? Thompson, of course, was also caught cheating about a year ago on Khloe… back when she was pregnant with their daughter, True. This is why most people close to her are almost glad that he’s done so again, just so Kardashian can finally stop thinking he’s changed and to kick him to the curb once and for all. “@khloekardashian dont let anyone ever say this is your fault,” one of her liked Twitter notes reads, for example, adding: “He is a sick man and if its true, then she is a terrible woman, both terrible people that do not deserve your love. TRUE does and ur doing great showing her that love.” We concur. Especially when Woods hasn’t even stepped up and apologized or really explained her side in all this. “Her story keeps changing a bit, and it’s almost like she is digging herself deeper,” a second source told People on Monday, concluding: “It’s been a week now of nonsense explaining from her side.
