Golden Globes Tap Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Lopez As Presenters

Matt Damon will present the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime-achievement award to Robert De Niro during the January 16 awards show. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson Photo: Soul Brother/ FilmMagic With the 68th annual Golden Globes a little more than a week away, it’s time to find out what famous faces will be seeing onstage January 16 from the Beverly Hilton Hotel — in addition to the nominees, of course. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Tuesday (January 4) via Twitter the names of three presenters. The lucky lady and gentlemen are: new “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, “Twilight” superstar Robert Pattinson and “True Grit” actor Matt Damon. It was not announced for which categories Lopez and Pattinson will present, but Damon will present the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime-achievement award to Robert De Niro. The annual event, which is one of the few awards shows to recognize achievements in both television and film, is always a star-studded affair. Katie Holmes, Blair Underwood and Josh Duhamel announced the nominations back in December, which singled out “The King’s Speech,” starring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter, with seven nods in categories including Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director. “Black Swan” and “The Social Network” were the next most-nominated films, with four nods each. Many critics agreed that the most surprising nominations went to Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie for the “The Tourist,” which received lukewarm reviews. In the world of television, “Glee” was once again the most-nominated TV series, followed by critical darlings and award favorites “30 Rock” and “Mad Men.” The 68th annual Golden Globe Awards will air live Sunday, January 16, at 8 p.m. ET, hosted by awards-show scene stealer and “Office” creator Ricky Gervais . ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Situation Teases ‘Hilarious’ New Season

‘[The new season] was a year that I was very into enjoying myself,’ Sitch says about episodes kicking off Thursday. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Tim Kash “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Photo: MTV Maybe it was when he was sucking face with two random gals in a nightclub bathroom. Maybe it was the time he housed an egg sandwich while watching his buddy get laid. Whenever it happened, the Situation decided at some point that season two of “Jersey Shore” got just a bit out-of-hand. “In Miami, it was a little wild,” the reality star recently told MTV News. According to Sitch, his approach to the new season of the hit show, which premieres this Thursday, focused less on such sexual shenanigans and more on delivering straightforward laughs. “[W]e’re back in New Jersey and you had that sense of being comfortable, because we’re back home,” he said. “I really think this one is hilarious.” The changeup in style for the latest season represents an evolution of sorts for the Situation, who has branched out from the MTV show to a turn on “Dancing With the Stars” and multiple endorsement deals. As he explained it, “Season one was definitely wild. All the rules were thrown out the window because it was season one and it was the first time we were doing things. Season two, we were a little more experienced, we knew what to expect, but we were happy to be in Miami. At the same, I’ll be honest with you, we kind of went a little crazy.” The new season, in contrast, is all about goofing off and having fun — and getting to know new “Shore” face Deena Nicole Cortese. “For me, [the new season] was a year that I was very into enjoying myself,” Sitch explained. “There are many different little funny things. I really think it’s hilarious. As well as the new castmate that’s in there. She shakes things up.” The new season of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” premieres Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. Justin Bieber’s 2011 Wish List Includes Grammy Win, Haircut

‘If I win a Grammy that would be awesome,’ the teen pop sensation tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Mawuse Ziegbe Justin Bieber Photo: Chris McKay/ Getty Images Justin Bieber had a huge 2010, and the well-coifed teen star seems poised to have an even bigger 2011. Along with his “Never Say Never” movie set for a February release, an album in the works , more touring and perhaps more canoodling with Selena Gomez , Bieber has a big goal on his docket: to take home one of the biggest prizes in the music industry — a Grammy . “This year, I mean, I hope that I win a Grammy, ’cause I’m up for two,” he told MTV News. “So if I win a Grammy that would be awesome.” Of course, Bieber isn’t expecting anything at the big awards show this February. Like most nominees, he says he’s just honored to have been recognized for his work. “Even if I didn’t win anything, I would still be happy because I was nominated, and that’s pretty big in itself,” he explained. “It’s gonna be big. The Grammys are definitely something I’ve looked forward to, so this year’s going to be definitely really big.” So, what other big plans does Bieber have in store for the recently launched New Year? Brace yourselves, Beliebers. It has something to do with his hair. “I think after my movie I might cut my hair a little shorter,” he admitted. Last week, as the year came to a close, Bieber tweeted about his action-packed 2010. “Chillin and happy. Its been a fun year with a lot of blessings,” he wrote. “Some crazy rumors but so much love and memories. We r just gettin started!! So enjoy the holidays. Get crazy and have some laughs. Life is too short. At least that is what they tell me. #newyearsIsComin” Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Justin Bieber Related Photos ‘Stuff Bieber’s Bus’ Press Conference

Michelle Williams Says She’ll Watch ‘Brokeback Mountain’ With Daughter

Actress says Matilda will see the film in which her mother and father Heath Ledger co-starred ‘when she’s ready.’ By Terri Schwartz Michelle Williams Photo: Getty Images Michelle Williams already told MTV News that she’ll show her daughter Matilda her racy drama “Blue Valentine” someday, but that’s not the only controversial film the actress thinks she’ll be proud to show her child. In an interview with Angeleno magazine , Williams said that there will be a time in Matilda’s future when she will sit down and show her daughter “Brokeback Mountain,” a film that has a special place in Williams’ heart. “I will watch it with her, when she’s ready,” she said of the gay-cowboy film in which she co-starred with the late Heath Ledger, Matilda’s father. “It is hard to imagine what that would feel like, but one day, yes, we will watch it together.” When describing why “Brokeback” was so important to their family, Williams said, “I was just an actor who happened to be lucky enough to be in the right place, and it was the place where I met Matilda’s father, and that is a lot. It was a lot. And it will be a lot for Matilda too, when she gets around to watching it.” Matilda is only 5-years-old now, but Williams told MTV that she is excited for the day when she can share her work with her child. She described “Blue Valentine” as a movie she could “stand behind” and has been thinking a lot about what Matilda’s reaction to her filmography will be. “I feel like I’m excited for the day when she’s old enough to see it, because my aim is to make her proud that the time I spent away from her wasn’t in vain,” she explained. Williams recently opened up to the press about Ledger’s death. Her ex-boyfriend was found dead in his apartment on January 22, 2008, at age 28. His death was attributed to an accidental overdose of a number of prescription medications. “I’ve found meanings around the circumstance, but the actual event itself still doesn’t … I can’t find a meaning for it,” Williams told ABC’s “Nightline.” “I can find meanings in things and people and relationships that have sprung up and friendships that have strengthened. I can find a lot of meaning in that, but not in why.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Blue Valentine.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
