The 10 Greatest Real World Cast Members Ever

The Real World comes back next week with its Back to New Orleans season, and with each passing year, it’s impossible not to pine for the series’ best days. Last year’s Washington D.C. trip marked a step in the right direction, but the prime seasons of Real World are so much less contrived and self-aware — it’s impossible to shake them from memory. Here we revisit the show’s ten greatest stars, the ten castmates who were smart enough, cool enough, or downright problematic enough to make the kind of reality TV you might be proud to have watched.

Israel’s Flotilla Inquiry ‘Farce’

Israel’s oldest daily newspaper, Haaretz , condemns the Netanyahu government’s “farce” of an inquiry into the deadly flotilla raid: “The conclusions of an ostensible probe are intended to justify retroactively the decision to blockade Gaza … and to use deadly force on the deck of the Mavi Marmara.” Dap to @ggreenwald , who is tweeting daily on this and other important stories. Haaretz: The government’s efforts to avoid a thorough and credible investigation of the flotilla affair seem more and more like a farce. The conclusions of an ostensible probe are intended to justify retroactively the decision to blockade Gaza, to forcibly stop the Turkish aid flotilla in international waters and to use deadly force on the deck of the Mavi Marmara. To make the costume seem credible, the Prime Minister’s Bureau asked a retired Supreme Court justice, Yaakov Tirkel, to chair the committee. Alongside him will sit foreign observers in order to legitimize the conclusions in international public opinion. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even pledged to testify before the committee, together with Defense Minister Ehud Barak, other ministers and the chief of staff, so “the truth will come out.” Read more Related Entries April 24, 2010 Thai PM Draws a Line in the Streets April 11, 2010 Iran Casts a Vote in Iraq

Watch: ‘American Idol’ Contestant Lee Dewyze’s ‘Hallelujah’ Video

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lee DeWyze had the prime spot on Tuesday night’s American Idol and he didn’t disappoint. Backed by a choir, the 24-year-old Illinois singer ended the show with Simon Cowell’s choice, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. The performance blew away the judges, with Cowell calling DeWyze “a fantastic singer” and a “great performer.” DeWyze kicked things off earlier with a stunning rendition of Lynyrd Skynard’s “Simple Man,” making him a likely choice to reach next week’s finale. read more

Victoria Beckham Is Losing Her Touch

I thought I would put up a few pictures of Victoria Beckham at the airport because I feel bad about her husband injuring himself so badly that it will take him out of the World Cup . That’s the only reason because sadly she’s not showing us anything worthwhile. I think it’s possible that Victoria has past her prime and has decided to cover up for good. An end of an era. more pictures of Victoria Beckham here

Rotten Tuna: Mischa Barton… Again

I thought we decided we were done with Mischa Barton , so why are these pictures of her on my computer this morning? It’s bad enough that I had a few too many gin and orange sodas last night, I don’t need to see this garbage first thing in the morning. There should be a farm or a ranch somewhere that we can send all these washed up, passed their prime celebrity chicks to graze until it’s their turn to be featured on one of those ‘Where Are They Now?’ TV shows. She is so rotten.
