Kate Middleton: Undergoing Hypnotherapy While Pregnant?

After her bout with the severe morning sickness known as hyperemesis gravidarum, Kate Middleton has taken to hypnotherapy to regain her appetite, a friend claims. Kate “still looks at food and feels nauseous,” Jessica Hay told Australia’s New Idea , adding that the Duchess of Cambridge hasn’t been the same since. She’s plagued by “ that feeling you have when you’ve had food poisoning and your stomach’s shrunk … she finds it very hard to eat a full meal and gets full quickly.” Hay said that this continuing issue led the 31-year-old wife of Prince William to seek the help of a hypnotherapist “in a bid to help with her appetite.” “The hypnotherapy is taking away any negative thoughts connected with food from morning sickness and replacing them with cravings for healthy, nutritious food.” So far, so good, according to Hay, who said that Kate Middleton has been filling up on wholesome goodies like berries, broccoli, oatmeal and smoothies. Maybe a nice roasted chicken recipe now and then too, for protein. “All in all, Catherine’s very happy,” Hay said. “With so much family around her and William, they’re starting to enjoy the pregnancy after a traumatic start.” Good to hear! Kate Middleton: Spotted at Starbucks!

Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has been laying very low since announcing she is pregnant, but not so low that she’s cut out her morning Starbucks run. With little fanfare, she exited Kensington Palace for a very hush-hush walk through Kensington Gardens with dog Lupo followed by a trip to the coffee chain! Escorted by a security guard, the 31-year-old Duchess “looked beautiful,” according to an onlooker … to the surprise of pretty much no one on Earth. “Her hair was done nicely and she had a scarf, lovely long coat and boots on … she was wrapped up warm, so I couldn’t see the bump,” the observer adds. It’s unclear just how much she’s showing at this stage, but don’t expect a lot of splashy celebrity gossip magazine photo shoots or Instagram updates. Anyway, as the security guard waited outside with Lupo, Prince William’s wife went inside and placed her order herself: Her decaf drink, plus a cookie. Thus armed with provisions, the expectant royal took Lupo’s leash back from the security guard (the pooch is “so cute and well-behaved,” the spy says), and carried on. “She’s a regular,” a Starbucks staffer says of the Duchess. “Kate was smiling,” the observer continues. Sadly, no Kate Middleton photos were taken, but she “paid with a Starbucks card, which she swiped herself.” Royals. They’re just like us.

The news that Kanye West got Kim Kardashian pregnant nearly shut down Twitter, but the spawn of Kimye may only be the second most famous baby born in 2013. Kanye tells us to “Watch the Throne,” but try telling baby West to compete with the heir(ess) to it. Kate Middleton and Prince William also are expecting! With the exception of immense fame, these two supercouples have little in common. Their lives could not be more different, yet are equally scrutinized. Kate and William are obviously family-oriented people, and say what you will about them, Kim and Kanye have/had close relationships with theirs as well. So who will be better parents? From supermodels to singers, and actors to politicians, it’s that time of year once again. Time to crown the prestigious, arbitrary THG Celebrity of the Year, that is. Who will be our 6th Annual recipient? THG is counting down the top 10 stars of 2012, starting with #10 Adam Levine, Honey Boo Boo at #9, Kim Kardashian at #8, and President Obama at #7. Kate Upton came in at #6, and Justin Bieber #5. Worthy nominees, all of them. Now it’s time for 2012 Celebrity of the Year Finalist #4: Kate Middleton! It’s been quite a year for Kate, and not just because SHE’S HAVING A BABY!!!!!! Did we mention Kate Middleton is pregnant? You probably heard, if not. Or figured it out based on the exclamations of joy above. She’s due in mid-2013! Of course, even that development was marked by tragedy, one Kate had nothing to do with, after the Duchess was hospitalized with acute morning sickness. A prank call to the hospital where she was staying led a nurse to take her own life after unwittingly spilling the beans on Kate’s condition to a couple of DJs. This wasn’t the first controversy involving Kate this year, either. The publication of Kate Middleton topless photos , taken from a great distance during the couple’s holiday in France, shocked the nation and world. The Royal Family threatened those responsible, but the damage was done, as Middleton’s (enviable) body was displayed for the entire Internet to see. On a happier note, Kate continued to come into her own with solo appearances on behalf of various charities, all the while looking stylish as ever. In July, she and her husband Prince William also served as British Olympic ambassadors in their awesome country, and who better could you pick? Between Kate, William and Prince Harry naked , it was one revealing year for the royal fam – but each of them remain wildly popular with the public. For good reason, too. As far as celebrities go, it’s hard to think of a much better role model for young girls than Kate the Great, the People’s Princess! What will 2013 bring for the gorgeous Duchess? Who the heck knows. Kate Middleton, 30, was just released from King Edward VII Hospital on Thursday after spending three nights under observation for a rare and extreme form of morning sickness. Allen Iverson foreclosure

The 11-time All Star’s divorce proceedings have shed some light on Iverson’s dismal situation. According to Sports Illustrated, Iverson is bringing in about $60,000 a month at the moment but he is also spending more than $350,000. Most of that money is being used for mortgage payments and to pay back creditors but Iverson also spends a lot on clothes, restaurants and entertainment. Kate Middleton: Pregnant With Twins?!

Along with Monday’s joyous announcement that Kate Middleton is pregnant came news from the palace that the Duchess is in the hospital with severe morning sickness. Hyperemesis gravidarum is a rare, acute morning sickness resulting in weight loss; it accounts for about 2 percent of all morning sickness, according to doctors. The condition is sometimes associated with women having twins, experts say. Hyperemesis gravidarum is believed to be caused by higher levels of the pregnancy hormone, hCG; Extra hCG can often be brought on by carrying more than one fetus. In other words, it could be a sign that Kate Middleton is pregnant with twins. Although there’s very little data to go on, one study showed that women carrying twins had a 7.5 percent higher risk of experiencing the acute morning sickness. In any case, it poses little danger to the tiny heir(s), doctors said. Women diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum often lose 5 percent of their pre-pregnancy weight, or 10 pounds, but it is not indicative of troubling complications. It’s traditionally thought that nausea and vomiting is a sign of a healthy pregnancy, even. That’s not to say it isn’t brutal for the mother-to-be to live through. Dr. Nancy Cossler, an OB/GYN at University Hospitals in Ohio, said the condition does not cause loss of pregnancy or birth defects, but is torture to endure. “The biggest problem with this is how it interferes with your life,” Cossler said. “Constantly feeling sick and puking is obviously unpleasant and difficult.” The extreme morning sickness is usually diagnosed about nine weeks into the pregnancy, and in most cases resolves itself by 16-20 weeks, according to experts. Kate Middleton’s pregnancy is likely around the 12-week mark at this time. “As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter,” St. James Palace said. Prince William is at the hospital with Middleton, according to news reports. If she were carrying twins, the first-born would be the heir to the throne, regardless of gender. One can imagine the twins fighting in the whom over that distinction!

Mark Zuckerberg Earns $3.5 BILLION in November

Safe to say November was a relatively good month for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The social network’s stock shot up from $21.08 a share on the first day of trading to $28 a share this past Friday, reaching its highest price since July. Zuckerberg, who owns about 504 million shares of Facebook stock (give or take), saw his net worth increase $3.48 billion as a result. Not bad for 30 days’ work. Long story short, his critics can Zuck on that! Sorry. During Facebook’s botched IPO , of course, the 28-year-old Zuckerberg’s shares were worth a lot more – around $19.1 billion at the price of $38 per. In the following months, the stock plummeted to less than half that IPO price to $17.55 in late August, pushing Mark’s net worth down to $8.84 billion. Wah wah . Since then, however, Facebook stock has chipped away at some of those losses, regaining some traction and posting its best month to date in November. A strong earnings report in late October, which showed that Facebook was making progress in monetizing mobile traffic, was a major catalyst for the gains. As of Friday, Zuckerberg’s net worth was $14.1 billion and climbing. On the downside, Priscilla Chan is going to expect some REALLY nice holiday gifts now.

Kate Middleton is pregnant. For reals. The royal family confirmed the news today! Prince William and his wife are expecting their first child, according to the palace: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby .” “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.” “As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.” The Duchess was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital with hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute morning sickness which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients. The pregnancy announcement comes after months of speculation. About 18 months, to be exact. Ever since they married in April 2011, the rumors have flown. The palace, which rarely comments on gossip, took the unusual step of saying, more than once, “We would be the ones to make the announcement, not Hollywood.” Tabloids began snapping close-ups of Kate Middleton ‘s stomach for any sign of a baby bump, and had a field day when she declined peanuts and champagne. Her old friend Jessica Hay took it upon herself to declare Kate Middleton pregnant this month, telling both Life & Style and Australia’s New Idea that it was a done deal. Who knows if she really knew or just guessed correctly. Everything from Kate’s new hairstyle to her recent clothing choices (above) have been critiqued of late, leading many to believe she really was pregnant this time. While remaining intensely private people, the couple never required much prodding when it came to the subject of family and wanting to start one before long. “It is quite strange reading about it, but I try not to let it bother me,” Prince William said in an interview with ABC News in May. “I’m just very keen to have a family.” “Both Catherine and I are looking forward to having a family in the future.” Due to a dramatic change in the rules of succession, the royal couple’s first-born will be the heir to the throne , regardless of the baby’s gender, for the first time. Royal babies have typically been born within one year of marriage; Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William just 11 months after her wedding. Going back one more generation, Queen Elizabeth II gave birth to Prince Charles, William’s father, six days before her first wedding anniversary.
