Kate Middleton Pregnancy Rumor of the Day: Expectant Duchess Collapses!

Is Kate Middleton pregnant ? Needless to say, we highly doubt it, but we’ve now read three different celebrity tabloid reports to that effect in as many days. In this one, the Duchess collapsed no less! The Star cover story, citing a “palace tattletale,” says the mother-to-be and Prince William, who wed on April 29, are expecting, and she’s had complications. An ambulance was called, if you believe the magazine, after William found his spouse of six months unconscious on the floor. The stock photo is so convincing. Not surprisingly, almost no one believes the bombshells of the past week, which include In Touch matter-of-factly saying she’s preggers and Us ‘ more carefully worded story about Kate being “ready for baby” or some such nonsense . A Buckingham Palace spokesman has called past tabloid reports “absurd” and “certainly not true,” but you have to wonder what prompted this week’s deluge. It’s not the first time Star made Kate Middleton pregnant. In June 2010, the magazine reported that she was expecting a baby … before even getting engaged. BTW, if the baby is a girl, the couple will name her Diana. Obvi.

Kate Middleton: Trying to Get Pregnant?

Is Kate Middleton pregnant? We doubt it, given photo and anecdotal evidence . Is she trying to get pregnant? That we cannot say with the same certainty! “There have been reports to the contrary worldwide, but the fact is that the Duchess of Cambridge is not pregnant,” insisted a royal aide close to Prince William and Kate Middleton. “Does she hope to be soon? I should say so.” So … does that mean what we think it means? Possibly not. There’s another factor that could delay any royal family expansion. “Prince William will be on active military duty in the Falkland Islands early next year, and there is no earthly way he would be assigned 8,000 miles from home if the Duchess of Cambridge were expecting,” explained a second palace insider . That does make sense, to wait until the timing is right. But the first source insists the time is right now: “Wouldn’t it be wonderful, in this era of economic gloom, for an announcement to come shortly? I think it would be a terrific morale booster for the whole country,” he teased, half-seriously … no pressure whatsoever, Kate Middleton . Amusingly, the source added this, re: the official announcement: “There are not going to be leaks. There will be an announcement from Kensington Palace. Trust me, this is not going to be the sort of announcement that will be pre-empted by anyone hacking royal mobile phone voice messages.” Well played, Palace insider. Well played. [Photo: WENN.com]

Kate Middleton Pregnant? Denmark Trip Sparks Rumor

Is Kate Middleton pregnant? The Duchess has ignited speculation that she is expecting once again after a visit to a UNICEF distribution center in Copenhagen, Denmark. With Prince William at her side, Kate avoided a certain food product as they sampled items from UNICEF aid packages sent to famine-stricken East African countries. While members of the Danish royal family and William tasted peanut paste, Kate politely refused and reportedly gave her husband of six months a knowing look. Doctors have frequently recommended pregnant women avoid peanuts and byproducts while expecting in order to help prevent allergies in their babies-to-be. What’s more, The Palace itself even “went out of their way to stress that she has no nut allergy whatsoever,” an editor for Britain’s The Sun told ABC News. Whenever William and Kate Middleton welcome their first child, he or she will inherit the throne. The rules were changed to allow a first-born daughter to rule. If they have a girl first, that is. The UK monarchy recently agreed that a first-born girl should be able to ascend the throne even if she has younger brothers. Still, pregnancy speculation or not, Middleton is certainly not displaying any bump just yet; Britain’s Best Dressed was slim and stylish as ever in Denmark. Congratulations … maybe!

Prince William & Kate Middleton Fan Mail: Off the Hook!

How popular are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge? Do we even have to answer that question at this point? Prince William and Kate Middleton have received about 60,000 letters and cards of goodwill from members of the public since their engagement nearly a year ago. The number of messages peaked again around the time of the royal wedding in April – and the coolest thing about it is that a return address guarantees a reply. “There was everything from posters made by classes of schoolchildren to cards sent by other members of the public,” says a Palace aide of the letters to the royals. A group of junior girl guides – called Rainbows – in Glasgow sent a congratulations card, and then got word that the Duke and Duchess were “immensely touched.” Workers in the couple’s office in St. James’s Palace are still going through all the letters and cards in a bid to answer them, which they say they do … eventually. “It will take quite a while for the small team to get to answer them all, but everyone gets a reply if there is a return address,” says a Palace aide of the fan mail. Sadly, it is not known if Pippa Middleton responds to date requests. [Photo: WENN.com]

First Child of Kate Middleton, Prince William to Inherit Throne Regardless of Gender

It’s official. Following a change in ascension rules , boy or girl, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be the next heir to the British throne. The leaders of the 16 governments with Queen Elizabeth II as their head of state have unanimously agreed to change the laws in their realms to allow this. Under current laws, the immediate heir is the first-born son of the monarch. Going forward, the immediate heir will be the first-born child of the monarch. That means if Prince William and Kate Middleton have a girl as their first child, she will be the future queen, regardless of whether one or more sons follow. British Prime Minister David Cameron said, “Put simply, if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were to have a little girl, that girl would one day be our queen.” Cameron personally applauded the move, adding that the UK stresses gender equality in all facets of life, making this a logical change to their traditions. Queen Elizabeth II’s son, Prince Charles, is next in line for the throne, followed by Will. The royal hunk will be the king of more than a dozen countries. Those nations are Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Papua New Guinea, St. Christopher & Nevis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Tuvalu, Barbados, Grenada, Solomon Islands, St. Lucia and the Bahamas. Prince William, Kate Middleton Open Cancer Center

Prince William and Duchess Catherine (Kate Middleton) came together to open the new Oak Centre for Children and Young People at The Royal Marsden Hospital. The new facility is located in Sutton, Surrey, England. Upon their arrival, the royally cute twosome was greeted by many spectators before they met with staff, key donors and fundraisers. “There was excitement amongst the children before the royal arrival,” a source says . The royal pair actually arrived separately to the dedication . Because William, 29, was “on-call Wednesday night at RAF Valley and had two call outs,” he didn’t get a chance to sleep before the Oak Centre opening. “He only finished at 10 a.m. Thursday and quickly got changed before he was flown over straight from the base to Surrey,” where he met Kate, also 29. Kate, who arrived with palace staff having stayed in London, “gently patted him on the back” when she heard about his sleepless night. How sweet. For an alleged princess in turmoil , she sure looks happy here! [Photo: WENN.com]
