To celebrate all of his new success, he throws a classic all-white party at an equally clean all-white mansion. But unfortunately for the party-goers, the festivities are interrupted when a former associate returns with some trouble. The Father Of 4 was joined by frequent collaborator Gucci Mane in the visual for their track “Quarter Milli.” In the video, the rappers take us back in time as they rob a few banks in this period piece. As you may have heard, Meghan Markle was in New York City this week for a baby shower hosted by a handful of her closest friends. While the celebration was reportedly a rather pricey affair — as is customary for well-heeled public figures in any line of work — the bill was footed entirely by Meghan’s A-list associates, a group that includes Serena Williams and Amal Clooney . Based on the backlash, however, you would have thought that the whole thing was taxpayer funded. The British tabloid press — which has been relentlessly critical of Meghan from the time her relationship with Prince Harry was first made public — claims that the royals are angry about the shower , as such customs are considered beneath her station. And then there was this woman who donned a mask and took to the streets to repeatedly shout the phrase “charlatan duchess” at Markle. (Note to Crazy Lady: This is America. If you want to make headlines for being racist in the streets, you’ll need a more scathing insult than “charlatan.”) Sadly, the harassment that Meghan received on the streets of Manhattan gave way to a less immediately dangerous, but equally virulent strain of pestering on social media. British bird cage-liner The Sun tweeted about the Masked Dumbass and the comments quickly devolved into the sort of troll-fest that Twitter has sadly become known for. Thankfully, the site deleted a tweet in which the user suggested that Meghan should be shot. Unfortunately, it appears administrators have been unable to keep up with the deluge of hate directed at Meghan, as the harassment campaign continues, mostly unabated. The above screenshot was sent to The Hollywood Gossip by a reader who claims that the “Kozi” account is one of several alternates used by Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle. Please note that while we have reported extensively on Samantha’s harassment of Meghan in the past, we were unable to substantiate the claim that she is the owner of the account or the author of the tweet displayed here. Regardless of who’s responsible, however, one glimpse at a thread like this might be enough to convince you that the targeted harassment campaign against Meghan is far more serious than you had realized. Particularly appalling is the content posted by a user who goes by the handle @YankeeWally, in reference to Wallis Simpson — the American actress whose intended marriage to Edward VIII resulted in the king’s abdication. The account tweeted two photos that claim to show Meghan in various states of undress. We will not be reproducing or linking to them, both because they’re likely fraudulent and because posting explicit photos without the subject’s consent constitutes an act of sexual assault. But let it be known that this is the sort of harassment Meghan endures for committing the unforgivable sin of marrying into a high-profile family. Source: Bettmann / Getty Barbara Johns, a sixteen year old student, staged a strike at Robert Russa Moton High School because of its deplorable conditions. One student John Stokes assisted Johns in the effort in 1951. He shares his story with me. John Stokes grew up in the Jim Crow South. He attended Robert Russa Moton High School in Prince Edward County, Virginia. This was the only school for African American students in the entire county. It was a one-story school that was built to hold 180 students. However, by 1950 there were more than 450 students attending the school. The educational resources at Moton were few with only eight classrooms, an office, and an auditorium. Text “Kiss” To 23845 for your chance at ticket giveaways and news before anyone else! …Standard Messaging Rates Apply Stokes and classmate Barbara Johns recognized the inequalities between Moton and the white-only schools, and decided to do something about it. Together Stokes and John helped lead a strike by all the students in April 1951. All of the students walked out in the middle of class and refused to return until a new high school for African American students was built. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People encouraged the students to demand integration of all county schools instead. The U.S. District Court in Richmond rejected the lawsuit. The case went on appeal, and was combined with other lawsuits under Brown V. Board of Education. On May 17, 1954 the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that public school segregation was unconstitutional. Only a year after graduating from Virginia State University, Stokes went on to become Superintendent of Baltimore City Public Schools before retiring as principal in 1994. When Meghan Markle reached out to British sex workers last month, the gesture was likened to past philanthropic campaigns spearheaded by her mother-in-law Camilla Parker Bowles. Like Meghan, Camilla prides herself on championing causes that other public figures prefer to look away from. So when Meghan made it clear that she intends to focus on less photo-op-friendly causes like addiction, mental health, and the dangers faced by sex workers, it was widely assumed that she and Camilla enjoy a close relationship with a foundation of shared values. But according to a new report from Radar Online, that’s very much not the case . As you’re likely aware, Meghan is feuding with just about everyone these days. The reports of the Duchess of Sussex locking horns with Kate Middleton have gained the most tabloid traction, but there have also been reports of Meghan feuding with Prince William , Prince Charles, and just about everyone else in the Royal Family, with the possible exception of the Queen. Now, it seems Camilla can be added to Meg’s ever-growing enemies list. And according to Radar, this feud is getting uglier by the day. “The drama with Meghan and Kate is nothing compared to what’s going on with Camilla,” an insider tells the site. “Camilla doesn’t really talk to Meghan,” the source adds. “She is snobbiest and least friendly.” Apparently, Camilla’s complaints are the same as the other royal traditionalists who think Meg’s not deserving of her title. Bowles reportedly doesn’t like that Meghan is American, a former actress, and famously headstrong. (There have been widespread reports that Meg is being treated unfairly by so many Brits due to her race, but we’ll leave that speculation for another time.) “Camilla even told her ‘this is real life and you’re not an actress playing a role,’” says one tipster. “Meghan has tried everything to get Camilla to warm up to her and nothing has worked. “She wants to be close to her, but Camilla isn’t allowing it.” As Charles’ second wife after Princess Di, Camilla is certainly accustomed to being treated unfairly by the British press. One would think that she and Meg would be able to bond over that shared experience. But apparently, Camilla’s the type of bully who likes to pay it forward. At the top of the show, Camila Cabello opens up the 61st annual Grammy Awards with a colorful Cuban inspired set for “Havana” featuring Young Thug. The highlight of the set was obviously Thugger who made a fashionable entrance in his finest Michael Jackson-esque rhinestone loafers but the guests didn’t stop there. Ricky Martin and J Balvin also joined Camila on stage for a “Havana” mashup. When that was over, Alicia Keys took the stage to begin her monologue. She thanked her friends, her husband, showed some love to Tracee Ellis Ross and then took a moment to surprise the audience by bringing out a few queens who happen to be some of the most honored women in the world. The highlight of the night had to be Cardi B channeling her inner peacock and Offset loving every minute of it. Cardi twerked to “Money” with a tail of feathers and in that very moment, Offset was thinking about dropping a Kulture II in her womb. The Toronto rapper won “Best Rap Song” for God’s Plan and he was up against some stiff competition. However, when he accepted his award, he treated everyone like a winner. He told his fellow rappers that even though they hadn’t won the actual award, as long as they had fans singing every word of their songs, waiting in the rain for their concerts, they are the real winners.
