It all started in June 2015, when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted Pitt and Jolie for tea. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt at Kensington Palace on Friday afternoon,” a palace aide informed Us Weekly at the time. “They discussed their shared interest in combating the illegal wildlife trade.” An insider added that William and Catherine were “really excited” about meeting the power couple. William and Catherine, joined by Prince George, waited to greet Pitt and Jolie outside Apartment 1A, as they did for Michelle and Barack Obama on April 22nd. As one who is well-versed in Catherine’s interests, I know that she doesn’t drink much and has never expressed any interest in ballet. Had the source suggested going to a playground with the kids, a cooking class or antiquing, I might have believed it.
