Lindsay Lohan Offered $1 Million For First Post-Jail Interview

Actress has reportedly not yet accepted offer from OK! magazine. By Eric Ditzian Lindsay Lohan Photo: Stephen Shugerman/Getty Images If anyone was wondering how Lindsay Lohan would make a living after her stay in jail and in-patient rehab, we now have our answer. The 24-year-old actress, who hasn’t headlined a theatrical release since 2007, is set to net a lucrative payday for her first post-sentence interview. OK! magazine has offered Lohan $1 million for the interview, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Lohan has reportedly not yet agreed to the deal — she’s still receiving treatment at a rehab facility run by UCLA Medical Center — but she will likely be released well before completing the court-ordered 90-day treatment plan, instead entering an out-patient program. Thus we might be hearing from Lohan — and the actress might be cashing a hefty paycheck — sooner than previously expected. Lohan, of course, won’t be the first celebrity to be offered a big payoff following a personal scandal or tragedy. In 2007, after serving a short jail stint, Paris Hilton was reportedly offered as much as $1 million from NBC for her first post-jail interview before that deal fell through and she appeared on “Larry King Live,” reportedly without payment. NBC also reportedly paid $2 million for an interview with Prince William and Prince Harry and the American rights to broadcast a concert in honor of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Whichever outlet ultimately lands the Lohan interview, it should expect to pony up some serious cash, as the actress’ professional opportunities are limited at this point. She was fired from “The Other Side” in April, with the film’s director, David Michaels, saying that “producers of the movie have reported that financiers have been resistant to finance the movie with Lindsay in the lead role.” He added that Lohan was simply “not bankable.” She does have a small role in Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete,” but it’s not clear she’ll be free to promote the film. Meanwhile, the filmmakers behind “Inferno,” a biopic in which Lohan is set to star as 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace , remain committed to the actress, though the indie flick will hardly deliver a significant payday. In addition to the interview paycheck, THR reports that Lohan could attract appearance fees in New York and Los Angeles that range anywhere from $25,000 to $100,000. Yet it remains to be seen whether Lohan can make the necessary personal and professional changes to stay out of legal trouble in the future, especially as she heads back into the media spotlight so soon after jail and rehab. “She can take this and she can learn from it and it becomes a cathartic event in her life,” Howard Bragman, founder of publicity firm Fifteen Minutes, told MTV News. “The one thing we haven’t heard from Lindsay is ‘I’m sorry, I have a problem, I’m going to resolve it.’ She doesn’t have PR problems, she has life problems. You can’t fix your problems until you admit you have them. I think she needs a lot of therapy. She needs to let her career be second and her life be first.” Related Videos Lindsay Lohan: Crime And Punishment Related Photos Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Inferno’ Photo Shoot Lindsay Lohan Goes To Court The Highs And Lows Of Lindsay Lohan Related Artists Lindsay Lohan

Ne-Yo Debuts ‘Beautiful Monster,’ ‘Champagne Life’ Videos

The singer takes on superhero powers in two new clips from his upcoming Libra Scale. By Jayson Rodriguez Ne-Yo on the set of his music video “Beautiful Monster” Photo: MTV News Ne-Yo took over BET’s 106 & Park on Thursday evening (July 14), premiering two story-driven videos, “Beautiful Monster” and “Champagne Life.” The singer promised MTV News last month that the clips accompanying his forthcoming album, Libra Scale, would form part of a larger overall visual narrative. ” ‘Beautiful Monster’ is one piece of a very long and intricate story,” Ne-Yo revealed. “When you see the first video, make sure that you’re paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention — you don’t want to miss nothing.” Under Ne-Yo and Wayne Isham’s (Madonna, Aaliyah, Adam Lambert) direction, the clips present the singer as a member of a crime-fighting trio called “The Gentlemen.” Ne-Yo is granted otherworldly powers by a mysterious figure (Columbus Short), who assures the three blue-collar workers that their new powers will remain active so long as they don’t fall in love. In “Beautiful Monster,” Ne-Yo is portrayed as a disheveled superhero,

Jackson Rathbone would choose to control water, while Dev Patel would turn back time. By Mawuse Ziegbe Nicola Peltz Photo: Andrew H. Walker/ Getty Images M. Night Shyamalan’s kid-friendly fantasy, “The Last Airbender,” details an epic war between four nations driven by the powerful natural elements water, fire, earth and air. The flick follows the plight of Aang, the sole Avatar with the ability to control all of the elements, as he tries to restore peace between the warring factions. Given the choice to manage any one of those elements, the stars of the film have a variety of reasons for choosing their own “bending” powers. Shyamalan, who wrote, directed and produced the movie, which is based on the hit animated Nickelodeon TV show, would opt to have the ability to manipulate air. “First of all, I have an advantage ’cause everything has air around it,” Shyamalan told MTV News at the New York premiere of the movie on Wednesday. “Right now, if you were Earthbender, you’d be kind of screwed because there’s concrete underneath us. But I got you.” Nicola Peltz, who plays a Waterbender in the film, said she would stick to that power in real life as well. “I think water’s the most interesting because unfortunately it can harm you like a tsunami but it also heals people,” the actress said, adding that she’d like to be a ‘bender that’s also a do-gooder. “I would like to be a Waterbender because I could stop the tsunami and also give clean water to countries.” Jackson Rathbone was also on the water bandwagon. “I would probably say water just based on the fact that it’s one of the most prevalent elements around,” said Rathbone. “Bruce Lee talks much about being like water in his book Artist of Life. ” Noah Ringer works all the elements as the film’s lead, Aang, but he was able to single out one that he’d most like to control. “Air would be pretty cool because you could fly,” said Ringer, adding that Airbending has some practical advantages as well. “You wouldn’t have to ride on airplanes or anything.” Seychelle Gabriel, who plays Princess Yue in the film, would keep things close to home. “I’ve been telling everyone earth because I just think there’s so many possibilities because there’s rocks and trees and dirt and gravel,” said Gabriel. “There’s so many choices to pick from.” Dev Patel, however, eschewed the whole four-elements thing altogether and offered his own special ability. “If it was a real element it would … be turning back time. There’s so many crazy catastrophes happening in the world today. To be able to do that would just be fantastic,” said Patel, who nodded and simply said “BP,” as one of the disasters he’d like to fix. Royal BS: Tabloid Invents Details of Prince William/Kate Middleton Wedding

At some point, Kate Middleton and Prince William will likely get married. Here’s to hoping the ceremony takes place in a town hall civil ceremony! That would show these annoying supermarket tabloids, who continue to cash in on the mere presumptions of what this royal wedding will look like . In the latest example of anonymous sources citing unspecified facts regarding the couple’s plans, OK! Weekly reports that William and Kate will attempt to duplicate the nuptials of the former’s late mother, Princess Diana. “Princess Diana talked about what she wanted her sons’ weddings to be like even when she was pregnant with them,” said a source. Ironically, Princess Diana was also killed because the paparazzi were chasing her limo. So it’s nice to see celebrity gossip reporters have learned from their mistakes and are giving William and Kate room to breathe. Sigh.

Princess Diana Dress picture by Elizabeth Emanuel and David Emanuel

“As the weeks before her wedding progressed, Diana lost so much weight that she returned the gown to the Emanuels to have it taken in,” explained auctioneer Kerry Taylor at yesterday’s sale. “The alterations required were so drastic that they decided it would be easier to re-make a smaller version for her. They kept the original and forgot about it only re-discovering it quite recently.” Princess Diana may be gone, but she’s certainly not forgotten. The daring black taffeta gown that she wore

Royal Pussy has probably looked better than this mess of a woman…but I guess after generations of inbreeding we take what we can get when it comes to blue blooded bitches….it’s not like there are all that many actual Princesses in the world to get off to…and if you have a middle ages fetish…it makes masturbation pretty fucking hard…unless of course you are like my friend who go to parks and stages battles who is understandably a little too socially awkward to get laid….but who has no problem hiring hookers and dressing them up in period costumes….not that kind of period….actually historically relevant dresses he and crowns he gets made custom….sure it’s weird…but so are most fetishes…give him a break….at least he’s trying to maintain the luxury, exclusiveness and regal respectable behavior of a princess…while this Princess Madeline chick just jumps into the behavior and dress of a common whore…. Here are the pics of her and her sloppy body that is probably the root of why her boyfriend left her, cuz royalty or not, this body isn’t something you want to lock into for any amount of money….unless you’re me, in which case it’s all good cuz there’s a 28 year old pussy in a bikini…sloppy, rich, ugly or not…it’s better than what I’m used to. Walmart Pulls Entire Line of Miley Cyrus Jewelry

UPDATE: Walmart Pulls Entire Line After AP Report ______________________________________________________________ LOS ANGELES – Wal-Mart said Wednesday it is pulling an entire line of Miley Cyrus-brand necklaces and bracelets from its shelves after tests performed for The Associated Press found the jewelry contained high levels of the toxic metal cadmium. In a statement issued three hours after AP's initial report of its findings, Wal-Mart said it would remove the jewelry, made exclusively for the world's largest retailer, while it investigates. The company issued the statement along with Cyrus and Max Azria, the designer who developed the jewelry for the 17-year-old “Hannah Montana” star. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. had learned of cadmium in the Miley Cyrus jewelry, as well as in an unrelated line of bracelet charms, back in February, based on an earlier round of testing conducted at AP's request, but had continued selling the items. It said as recently as last month that it would be too difficult to test products already on its shelves. In its statement, Wal-Mart did not say whether it would also remove the bracelet charms. Exactly how many of the items have been sold was unclear. The charms — also available exclusively at Walmart stores — were sold under the name “Fashion Accessories,” though Wal-Mart has not said when they began appearing on shelves. The Miley Cyrus jewelry hit stores in December. Long-term exposure to cadmium can lead to bone softening and kidney failure. It is also a known carcinogen, and research suggests that it can, like lead, hinder brain development in the very young. Cadmium in jewelry is not known to be dangerous if the items are simply worn. Concerns come when youngsters bite or suck on the jewelry, as many children are apt to do. Wal-Mart said that while the jewelry is not intended for children, “it is possible that a few younger consumers may seek it out in stores.” “We are removing all of the jewelry from sale while we investigate its compliance with our children's jewelry standard,” Wal-Mart said. That was a reference to a policy Wal-Mart voluntarily implemented last month, under which suppliers are required to prove their products contain little cadmium, or else Wal-Mart would not accept them. The company's policy of not checking products already on the shelves appears to have changed: In its statement, Wal-Mart said it reviewed children's jewelry and pulled “the few products that did not” comply with its new testing regimen. ____________________________________________________________________ R U SERIOUS!!! CADMIUM HAS NO CONSTRUCTIVE PURPOSE AROUND THE HUMAN BODY! CADMIUM AND ITS COMPOUNDS ARE EXTREMELY TOXIC EVEN IN LOW CONCENTRATIONS! IT WILL BIOACCUMALATE IN ORGANISMS AND THE ECOSYSTEM! LOS ANGELES – Jewelry from two entire lines being sold exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide, including bracelets and necklaces branded by Miley Cyrus, contains high levels of the toxic metal cadmium, according to an Associated Press investigation. Testing of 61 samples purchased by AP reporters across the country from a Cyrus line and from a series of make-it-yourself metal bracelet charms indicated that 59 of the pieces contained at least 5 percent cadmium by weight, with 53 of those measuring 10 percent or higher. And the world's largest retailer knows the items are tainted. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. received test results in February showing cadmium in these jewelry lines, but has continued selling the items. Instead, Wal-Mart revealed in an April 26 statement that as of April 9, it was requiring suppliers to show through tests at a company-approved lab that children's jewelry and other kids' products had little cadmium — or else Wal-Mart would not accept the items for sale. The policy did not apply to products already on store shelves. A Wal-Mart executive told a Consumer Product Safety Commission hearing that testing items already in stores would be too difficult. In its only comment for this story, Wal-Mart said the Miley Cyrus jewelry was for “juniors,” without defining that age range. Representatives for Miley Cyrus and BCBGMaxAzria did not comment when asked. To judge the extent of the ongoing availability of pieces that Wal-Mart knew were contaminated, AP dispatched reporters throughout the country last month. They purchased any of 13 items matching those on the test results the company had in February. Those items came from two product lines: three were Miley Cyrus jewelry, a project done with designer BCBGMaxAzria; the other 10 were from a series of make-it-yourself metal bracelet charms. The packaging said they were made in China; all were bought for $6 or less. All but one of the 13 was on store shelves in the eight states where AP reporters looked. At AP's request, the purchased items were then tested by Prof. Jeff Weidenhamer, a chemist at Ashland University in Ohio. He said the average cadmium content was 16 percent, and that the levels are probably higher. Weidenhamer's prior research has shown that the testing method he used — an X-ray gun that can roughly tell the amount of cadmium in an item — typically underestimates how much is present. Representatives of the jewelry industry have argued that the presence of cadmium, even at high levels, is not by itself proof that an item is dangerous. The important thing, they say, isn't how much cadmium is in jewelry but rather how much can escape if the item is sucked, bitten or swallowed. Cadmium in children's jewelry became a public concern in January when the AP published the results of an investigation that showed items at Walmarts — and other large chains — were as much as 91 percent of the toxic metal by weight. Federal regulators have since issued three recalls, including one affecting “The Princess and The Frog” movie themed pendants sold at Walmarts. Long-term exposure to cadmium can lead to bone softening and kidney failure. It is a known carcinogen that recent research suggests can, like lead, hinder brain development in the very young. While AP's January investigation focused on jewelry clearly intended for children, the items tested for AP this time were labeled “not intended for children under 14 years.” That is an important legal distinction: Under current regulation, children's items are defined as for kids 12 and under, and children's products have all kinds of regulations that others do not. Federal regulators' own research says that kids start becoming interested in making their own jewelry around age six or eight. As for products featuring Miley Cyrus — she is 17 and thanks to the “Hannah Montana” franchise, her appeal dips down to kids as young as five. The importer of the charms for make-it-yourself bracelets, Cousin Corp. of America, said the jewelry was targeted at adults. Roy Gudgeon, vice president of merchandise at Florida-based Cousin, said that didn't mean high cadmium levels were acceptable. “We recognize that many of our adult customers are homemakers who may have children present in their home,” he said. “Our intention as a company is to never willingly cause harm to a child.” After checking company records, Gudgeon said that it had imported more than 300,000 of the charms that Weidenhamer tested. Shipment figures were not immediately available for the Miley Cyrus items. http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/19914767 ___ added by: onemalefla
