In fact, Disney has been making headlines after announcing plans to reimagine The Little Mermaid as a live-action film. The animated musical fantasy is a favorite for ’90s kids, so of course all our grown behinds have intense opinions about who should star in the remake. Rumor is Zendaya and Lady Gaga are being considered for the roles of Princess Ariel and Ursula, respectively—Zendaya’s cool but Black Twitter had other ideas for Ursula, namely, she should be a BBW. ‘LHHHS5’ Recap: Teairra Mari’s Sex Tape Scandal Flip Flop Makes No Sense

Source: Jason LaVeris / Getty Tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood revolves around people realizing that Marcus and Brooke are carrier pigeons, meaning, they have loose lips. It’s also about Teairra Mari looking super crazy for still keeping in contact with Akbar after all that he (allegedly) did to her. Hold that thought, though. Tonight’s episode picks up with Marcus kicking it with A1. Of course, he tells A1 about what RoccStar said at Ray J’s Father Figure Fridays situation. You remember, right? RoccStar alleges to have slept with Lyrica. A1 says he has decided to move forward so it is what it his. In other news, A1 and Lyrica are having a gender reveal. Marcus is invited, but Brooke is not, as per Lyrica (later on, Lyrica invites Princess Love to her gender reveal but not Ray J). No messies allowed. Then, A1’s mother crashes their lunch and she’s not happy (and water is wet). Marcus senses her attitude and leaves them alone. Mama A1 is there to tell him about the reboot of the beef that she has with Lyrica’s mom and she wants A1 to get a DNA test. A1 doesn’t trip though. He’s trying to live his best life, reconciled with his wife. Then we get to Teairra Mari’s crazy situation. Basically. Nikki gathers her girls together to kick it post London and Moniece fills her in on the tension with Teairra. Teairra shows up just as Moniece is chatting about her. TT gets tight, but Moniece explains how she saw video of Teairra Akbar dropping TT off at the airport in Texas. Someone was sitting behind their car recording this entire thing. This is nuts. Teairra says she did still love him and that she went for closure only to find out that he was just trying to finesse her so that she would drop the lawsuit. Then she says this is none of their business anyway. Moniece, Nikki and La’Britney are just looking at her like… Because if you recall, TT dragged them into it and some of them were even at the press conference. Nikki confronts Solo Lucci at the studio to confront him about the rumors he has been spreading about sleeping with her. La’Britney is there to support her and RoccStar was already there kicking it with Solo Lucci. You know the supporting friends are sitting there like: Because…nosey. Anyway, Nikki immediately starts going in on him calling him a poser while Solo Lucci is firm in his stance that he did have sex with her and it’s a game of he said she said. Nikki just gets frustrated and dumps a bag of money before sashaying out. Solo Lucci and RoccStar discuss how Nikki got this info from Brooke and that Brooke feeds Marcus tea and they’re both just some gossip spreading fools. They confront him later on and he starts copping pleas. Yeah, this isn’t going anywhere yet, but Brooke and Marcus are about to be messy exiles if they keep playing. TT also gets a chance to confront Brooke and the general consensus is that TT is ridiculous no matter how you swing it, especially since Akbar claims that they’ve had sex again and that it’s also on camera…again. TT denies this but again, her word is not her bond from what we can tell. Now we’re at Lyrica and A1’s gender reveal. Family and friends show up to support the couple and even their moms manage to get along as Lyrica and A1 squirt blue water at each other via water guns. Yup, it’s a boy! Tonight’s episode ends with Teairra Mari sitting on a bench all dramatic-like. She texts Akbar saying she wants to talk, and he replies, telling her to name a time and place. Lordt. But we’ll have to wait and see what happens next week. Disney Slammed Because Of Its ‘Eurocentric’ Version Of Princess Tiana

P rincess Tiana first made her appearance on film in 2009’s “The Princess and The Frog.” The animated character is back on screen for “Wreck It Ralph 2” and she looks distinctly different. Some have said Disney’s first Black princess looks white, which has caused backlash against the media giant. She is shown here with Eurocentric features; a slimmer nose, loose curly hair and a significantly lighter skin tone than her previous depictions. This is unacceptable. Yet again, Disney made the choice to whitewash an image that represents us. They’ve totally removed and replaced Princess Tiana’s full lips, dark skin and kinky hair. Color of Change reports, “The creation of Princess Tiana, Disney first Black princess marked a defining moment for how Black women and girls are presented in media, specifically in animated movies. After conversations with  Walt Disney Animation Studios , we’re glad they have committed to restoring Tiana to her original form for ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ to ensure authenticity.” See below: Although this might be a small win for some, it is hard to deny the power of representation for many Black and brown children. This is a perfect example of social media getting it right. He recently shared the cover and confirmed the first single will be soon to follow.  Since July the multi-platinum producer has been flooding his Instagram account with posts promoting his second studio album. By the sounds of the snippets, the One Man Band Man might be sitting on his best work to date. For his birthday, September 13, Swizz unveiled the creative for  Poison . Besides an expected marriage of deadly bars and beats he explained a deeper meaning to the title. “ #POISON  official album artwork done by  @cleonpeterson  its titled END OF EMPIRE .. End of empire is about upending the system, taking power back from the corrupt and fighting for justice.  #POISON  = POISE ON !! Let the Madness begin ”. Along with rolling out the creative he also confirmed the lead track from the project “Pistol On My Side”. Featuring Lil Wayne, we get a small taste of Dean’s signature booming sounds with a couple of punchlines from Weezy via a 34 second sample. While he has yet to confirm a formal release date for  Poison,  Swizz announced that preorders for the album will start tonight to coincide with audio and video of “Pistol On My Side” dropping at midnight. Per his social media it looks like Kendrick Lamar, The Lox, Jim Jones, Pusha T, Young Thug and 2 Chainz will also make the cut. ‘LHHHS5’ Recap: Teairra Mari’s Revenge Porn Drama Unfolds From The Beginning

Source: Estevan Oriol / Getty Teairra Mari is back on Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood and we already know about her revenge porn drama but now we get to really see things play out with her now former boyfriend/manager, Akbar, whom she’s suing for leaking her nudes and sex videos. At the moment (on the show), she and Akbar are all good and working on her career, but Akbar is already giving off controlling ain’t ish vibes. Basically, he doesn’t like the fact that TT hangs out with Nikki. His explanation is that Teairra is above Nikki since she’s an artist and Nikki is just a socialite so that’s not a good association in his mind. But what it probably really is, is that Nikki knows BS when she sees it and isn’t afraid to call it out and he’s nervous about losing control. via GIPHY Anyway, Teairra still plans to hang out with Nikki, whom she describes as one of the only people who had her back but she does believe that Akbar is in her corner too. That latter part becomes painfully clear later on when Akbar rolls up on Teairra while she’s kicking it with Nikki and Paris at a rooftop party. He starts talking down on Nikki again then he starts talking about how he doesn’t want her to start drinking again, which is a sore spot for Teairra, and demands that she leaves with him like he’s her dang daddy and Teaira follows him. Nikki and Paris are just looking like: via GIPHY Meanwhile, Lyrica does an interview on Donatella’s show. The two of them have made peace since last season and during their interview, Lyrica talks about all the things. You know, the Safaree anaconda drama, etc. Lyrica doesn’t address it, but Lyrica G (her mama) says she wasn’t impressed with what she saw. Then she starts talking trash about K Michelle, and Lyrica tells her she looks stupid and she needs to stop making a fool of herself. Obviously, being called dumb by your own child is not something that would go over well so Lyrica G cuts her interview short as a result and storms out giving us all the dramatics. But hold up. She wasn’t impressed by Safaree’s peen? What type of D holds her attention then? via GIPHY Then AD stops by Lil Fizz’s place to pick up Fizz and Moniece’s son’s sneakers for basketball Practice, but she discovers that Fizz is dating her best friend Tiffany. If you recall, Tiffany and Moniece have beef because Tiffany felt like the latter was bad for AD. AD is obviously shocked to see Tiffany and wonders if this is on some shady ish. Fizz says he really likes Tiffany and he wasn’t trying to be messy, which is believable given Fizz’s hopeless romantic tendencies. But AD obviously still feels some type of way and we all know that Psycho Moniece is not going to be happy about this. via GIPHY Last week, we were left with an unclear answer about weather Safaree and Lyrica smashed or not, but Ray spills the deets to Princess. He tells Princess that Safaree confirmed that he and Lyrica did have sex. Ray kicks the usual spiel—you know, he doesn’t want to be in the middle of this and thinks he should tell A1. Princess tells him that minding your business is free and he should try it sometime. He claims he will, but we know what show this is. A1 will be getting that news in 5, 4, 3, 2… via GIPHY Next, we discover that Marcus’ new girl, Stasi, might be pregnant. Womp womp. He’s not happy about it and neither is Brooke, who thought she was going to get Marcus back after playing games to hurt him and telling him to go be free. It seems like Marcus really wants to be back with Brooke but this possible baby is looming over their heads. Plus, he has to break up with Stassi which will also be difficult. Why we don’t know what the results are yet is beyond me because pregnancy tests only take five minutes and they have the kind that can detect the pregnancy hormone early, so… via GIPHY The good news is, Brooke doesn’t have cancer. Yay! Lyrica and A1 get together to try to talk on their own and it does not go well at all. Lyrica starts telling A1 all the stuff she did for him and how she was there for him when he was on food stamps. Then A1 starts talking about how fake she is and listing all of her allegedly fake body parts. She starts talking about all the things that are fake on him including his dreads (which is surprising because those joints looked real). He calls her a bum. She tosses her wedding ring at him and in the end, he says he’s filing for divorce. Finally, we end with AD, Moniece, Tiffany, and Fizz attempting a peace talk and you already know that becomes a fail. Moniece is still kicking that yang about how Fizz doesn’t support her and lets his women disrespect her, and the episode wraps with security trying to keep Tiffany from fading Moniece. Royal Scammery? Authorities Think Meghan Markle’s Half-Sister May Have Faked Her Dramatic Paparazzi Crash

Meghan Markle’s Sister Likely Faked Crash Story Remember when we told you how Meghan Markle’s hater half-sister was hospitalized after being run off the road by thirsty paparazzi? She claimed to have swerved and hit a concrete barrier while trying to escape gossip-rag shutterbugs, a la Princess Diana. Well, there now appear to be a few holes in her story — at least as far as the Florida Highway Patrol is involved. According to Daily Mail , there seems to be virtually no evidence that an accident of the sort ever actually occurred. Samantha Markle (formerly Grant, but reverted to her birth name only…recently) and her boyfriend Mark Phillips, who was reportedly driving at the time, claim they swerved at a toll booth and hit a concrete embankment when a paparazzi car swerved in front of them in an attempt to get pictures. Samantha claimed to have suffered a broken ankle and fractured knee after slamming into the windshield and crashing to the floor mat. But things seem fishy, at best. For one, the state patrol has no record of any of their barriers or bridge walls being struck by a vehicle, and if it is true as they say and Mark failed to report it to police, he could be charged with a hit and run . Secondly, there are no toll booths in Samantha’s hometown of Ocala, where she and Mark were allegedly driving. However, even if they happened to be at a toll booth in a surrounding area…none have reports of any recent accident incidents. Lastly, the minivan in which they allegedly got into this supposed accident is virtually scratch and dent-free, outside of normal wear and tear…which doesn’t fall in line with driving headfirst into a concrete wall. Mind you, Samantha is the same sister that barely knows Meghan to begin with who has been running to the media with all sorts of sideways isht to say about the Princess-to-be since the engagement. Prince Louis Officially Exists! See His Birth Certificate!

He’s here, folks! The Royal Baby is officially here! What’s that now? You already knew that Kate Middleton gave birth to a gorgeous little boy back on April 23 and you even knew she named him Louis? Or, to be exact, Prince Louis Arthur Charles ? Yes, you’re right. Both these developments have already taken place. However, Kensington Palace released the newborn’s birth certificate on Tuesday, making this child’s birth truly, completely, legally official and exciting. The document (below) is chock full of basic nuggets regarding little Louis, such as where he was born; he gender; and the names of his parents. One thing that jumps out to us, however, is the listed occupation of those parents. As you can see here, William is dubbed “Prince of the United Kingdom,” while Middleton is referred to as “Princess of the United Kingdom.” These aren’t titles with which we weren’t already familiar of course — it’s just funny to see someone’s job listed as “Prince” or “Princess.” Unlike his siblings – Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2 – Louis’ birth certificate is typed and not handwritten. We don’t know why this is or if it means anything, but we figured we’d point it out. We can confirm, however, that Prince William signed the document above at his Kensington Palace residence on Tuesday, May 1. It was witnessed by Westminster City Council registrar Patricia Gordon.  “It has been a great honor to register and formally welcome the latest addition to the royal family, Prince Louis Arthur Charles,” Gordon said in a statement, adding: “This follows a long history of Westminster City Council registering royal bites including Prince Louis’ siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.” Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child was born at the private maternity unit of St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington on Monday, April 23, at 11.01am. He weighed in at 8lb., 7oz. and he was shown off to the world just seven hours later when Mom and Dad posed for photographers in London outside the hospital. The royal family’s latest addition was probably named after Prince Philip’s late uncle Louis Mountbatten. While we’ve heard a lot of speculation regarding the name Louis , we do know that Mountbatten was assassinated by members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army during a trip to Ireland in 1979. Sad stuff. Worthy of a tribute, we’d say. Back on April 25, William told reporters that his new son was sleeping “reasonably well” and behaving himself. He added that his beloved wife was also doing well (and also behaving her self, we assume, hehe). Overall, parenthood suits Kate and William “really well,” a friend recently told People Magazine. This friend added that the famous stars “are enjoying it and are very happy.” That makes us really happy to hear!
