Meet Park Seo-yeon, a South Korean woman, makes $9,000 a month from fans who like to watch her eat for hours each day, according to reports. Known as “The Diva” online, Seo-yeon cooks up elaborate meals, sits down and ingests them in front of a camera, all while chatting with her adoring fans. Who pay handsomely for the privilege of doing so, obviously. Park Seo-yeon: Watch Me EAT! Almost surprisingly, there is no sex or nudity involved. Nor is there remote suggestion of it. Any hoovering she does involves food and food alone. The web craze is called “Meok-Bang” and it cures loneliness and hunger pangs … seriously. This is a thing and it’s reportedly common in South Korea. “People enjoy the vicarious pleasure of my online show when they can’t eat that much, don’t want to eat food at night, or are on a diet,” Seo-yeon said. It boils down in part to demographics: South Korea, one-person households are common and becoming more so. They could comprise a third of the population in 15 years, officials believe. As for Seo-yeon, she was working at a consulting agency before she quit that gig to eat full-time. The Diva streams daily starting between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Her “Meok-bang” sessions last for hours. A seemingly endless smorgasbord of delicious food – Korean food, pizza, pasta, steak, you name it – can be (not at all sexually) enjoyed along with her. As many as 3,500 Meok-Bangers are believed to be doing this in that country, though, so don’t think you can just jump on into this new career field. You gotta earn a following.

Jenna Ushkowitz is the latest Glee cast member to address the death of Cory Monteith. Over the weekend, Chord Overstreet dedicated a song to his late colleague, while Dianna Agron has expressed her remorse over the passing and Ryan Murphy has given us an idea of how his show will handle such a tragedy. Now, Ushkowitz has published an Instagram photo of the tight-knit group along with a message to Monteith: “I am so grateful that Glee brought this group of extraordinary individuals together to form a family,” Ushkowitz wrote on the social network, adding: “I was lucky enough to closely experience the love and light that Cory shared with the world, as well as having the privilege of traveling down the road together on a once in a lifetime journey. Cory always reminded me to be gracious, kind and open, and he will leave a mark in my heart forever. Thank you everyone for your constant support and love while we mourn the loss of our dear friend, and continued support to Cory’s family, and to Lea.” Glee will start production in August on season 5 and premiere new episodes on September 26.

Britney Spears has closed the book on another chapter of her life she’d just as soon forget ever happened – she settled with former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who’d been battling Britney over sexual harassment allegations for years. Flores claimed he saw Britney Spears nude a lot, and that she abused her kids. According to court documents, Spears and Flores have settled his lawsuit. Flores alleged that Spears would intentionally drop a cigarette lighter in his presence, then bend over to pick it up, “thereby exposing her uncovered genitals.” Then the clown turns around and sues her for this privilege. What a country. Spears adamantly denies all of the allegations – in particular that she mistreated sons Sean and Jayden – but still paid a modest amount to settle the case. Britney is still under conservatorship due to an unnamed medical issue , so the deal will have to be approved by a probate court, but that’s just a formality.
