THG Presents: Our Favorite Songs of 2010

Below is THG’s most favoritest songs of 2010. These are tracks we can’t get out of our heads, and ones that stand out most as we reflect on the past year. Before we unveil the top ten, here are a handful of disclaimers: We did not say “best,” nor are we implying this speaks for everyone. It’s just one site’s take, and we encourage you to submit your own. Yes, we are aware Ke$ha, Miley and Justin Bieber do not appear. Rihanna and Cee-Lo Green both ended up on THG’s list … and near the top to boot. Who joined them among our top ten jams of ’10? Find out after the jump! 10. Taio Cruz, “Dynamite” You will likely forget Taio Cruz’s name by this time next year. If you even knew it to begin with. But the man throws his hands up in the air sometimes. That is all. 9. Robyn, “Dancing On My Own” For those who feel the need to dance and cry simultaneously. 8. Michael Jackson feat. Akon, “Hold My Hand” Posthumous, previously-unreleased tracks are bad, more often than not. This one somehow strikes us as worthy of Michael Jackson’s legacy and message. Plus, how can you not appreciate the video they put together to accompany it? Hold My Hand Full Video: Akon & Michael Jackson 7. Kanye West feat. Jay-Z & Nicki Minaj, “Monster” For all Kanye’s non-musical headline-making abilities, he delivered a “Monster” track on My Beautfiul Dark Twsted Fantasy . Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj are great on it, too. 6. Lady Gaga feat. Beyonc

Alex Welch Details Attack by Demi Lovato, Decrees Lack of Apology

Days after photos of the bruises she suffered at the hands of Demi Lovato surfaced, Alex Welch is speaking out about the early November incident between her and that famous singer. While sitting on a plane with Demi, The Jonas Brothers and others related to that tour, the 21-year dancer says she was punched in the face by Lovato, who suspected Alex of ratting out her partying actions from the previous evening. “She walks up and punches me and literally walked away and got in her seat,” Welch tells People , adding that she didn’t tattle on anyone. “No one should do that and brush it over, it’s not right.” Lovato entered rehab immediately following this confrontation, but has not reached out to Welch about it. “To this day, I haven’t gotten an apology. I’ve heard nothing,” the dancer says . “That’s sad if you think that person is your friend.” A source close to Demi says this is just a matter of logistics, based on where Demi has been residing for the last five weeks: a treatment facility. “Demi hasn’t been able to call Alex because she is sequestered in treatment, but multiple efforts have been made to reach out to her,” says the insider. Reps for both side, meanwhile, acknowledge that there’s been contact between attorneys. Confirms a spokesperson for Lovato: “We are in the process of engaging with Alex’s lawyer and hope to resolve this as quickly as possible.”
