Watch Out For Kesha: The Face of Baby G

Her songs are catchy – will her products catch on too? Rising music star Ke$ha is now the brand ambassador for the Baby-G women’s Casio watches. Appropriate, you could say, for the singer of “Tik Tok.” Yesterday, the dollar-signed one even made a special appearance at The Manhattan Center for the Casio press conference and to reveal her latest ad . Given previous Ke$ha pictures we’ve seen, we half expected the campaign to feature her looking unkempt and mostly unclothed. What a surprise! Now if only they could improve her ability to sing live the way they can touch up a pic with Photoshop, Ke$ha would be ready for world domination … TOUGH AND COOL : Ke$ha is both. And hopefully punctual .

Proposed Law to Reform Use of Chemical Dispersants on Oil Spills

As of right now, oil companies engaged in cleanup operations after a spill (one particular one comes to mind) are not required to disclose which chemicals comprise the products they are using to contain or break up the oil. Therefore, BP isn’t required to reveal which chemicals make up the toxic dispersants it’s spraying in droves in the Gulf. It’s alarming that these standards don’t already exist to say the least, but at least one senator plans on doing something about it: Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) announced he plans to introduce the Safe Dispe… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Monsanto: The Corporation Poisoning Our Environment

The Roundup History of Monsanto If you Google, 'the most evil company in the world', your search results will find the company, Monsanto. You've probably never heard of Monsanto, however, you most likely have or have had their products in your cupboards, basement, shed, or food. http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/business/news-monsanto-multi-national-manip… :+environmentalgraffiti+(Environmental+Graffiti) Monsanto began in 1901, deriving its name from founder, John Queeny’s, wife’s maiden name. The first product made and distributed was the artificial sweetener, saccharin, bought by the Coca-Cola Company. Monsanto quickly also introduced caffeine and vanillin to Coca-Cola, eventually becoming their main supplier. The company then established themselves in Europe by collaborating with Graesser's Chemical Works and produced vanillin, salicylic acid, aspirin and later rubber. By its third decade, they had expanded into basic industrial chemicals like sulfuric acid, and closing in on the 1940s, Monsanto became a leader in manufacturing plastics. In 1944, being one of fifteen companies licensed to do so, Monsanto began manufacturing DDT, a synthetic pesticide which was used for agriculture to help rid of insects and to help aid disease control – until findings proved it to be toxic to wildlife, the environment and our health. Before You Even Knew It, All the Tiger Woods Ads Were Gone

Funny little thing that Tiger Woods would probably get a chuckle out of, if he wasn’t in such a bad mood these days: The more we see Tiger’s face on TV, the less we see him in TV commercials . Relief! In a big coincidence totally unrelated to unnamed outside events, whatever those might be, all the companies that paid Tiger millions upon millions of dollars to endorse their products have collectively lost interest in telling you, the consumer, that their products are officially approved by Tiger Woods
