Spade, born Katherine Noel Frances Valentine Brosnahan, was still involved in fashion recently as 2016. New York Daily News reports : A housekeeper found the body of the 55-year-old fashion maven in her apartment on Park Avenue near E. 77th St. at about 10:20 a.m, police sources said. Spade hanged herself with a scarf, police sources said. A note was found inside the home, suggesting Spade committed suicide, sources said. Kate Spade New York has more than 140 retail shops around the U.S., and more than 175 elsewhere in the world. Spade, who was married to Andy Spade, sold off her popular co mpany in 2007 to focus on raising her daughter. She made a return to fashion in 2016 with the launch of the Frances Valentine line. Just hours later, Drake delivered a disrespectful response with “Duppy Freestyle” where he questions Pusha T’s street credibility, his longtime girlfriend and even calls out Kayne West for being a hypocrite. B lack girls and women are resisting the racism that tries to keep them out of certain industries and fields of study, especially when it comes to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Recently, three Black teens learned they were finalists in NASA’s acclaimed high school competition. India Skinner, Mikayla Sharrieff and Bria Snell , all 17-year-old 11th graders at Banneker High School in Washington, D.C., invented a water-purification system that separated lead from their school’s drinking fountains, The Washington Post reported. They were the latest proof that Black girls are indeed magic. The three young ladies were the only all-Black female team to be named among the eight finalists — an incredibly significant accomplishment especially considering that Black students comprised 16 percent of high school enrollment in STEM courses for the 2015-16 academic year according to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights . After creating a homemade water purification system, a group of three D.C. high school girls were named finalists in a @NASA competition. Then racist internet trolls tried to skew online voting to have them eliminated from the competition. https://t.co/1bN0PlbqVm — MAKERS (@MAKERSwomen) May 4, 2018 When public voting was opened up for the NASA competition, the teens turned to social media to rally support. However, some racist trolls tried to hack the system and promote a smear campaign on the notorious White supremacist online breeding ground 4chan to keep the ladies from winning. NASA had to shut down the public voting, with the girls set to find out whether they will be named winners this month. Winners will go to NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, for two days of workshops and get a $4,000 stipend to cover those expenses. The teens, in solidarity with the Black activists and organizations that helped support them, were focusing on the positive responses that their project has prompted from their classmates, community and more folks on social media. “It’s important to be role models for a younger generation who want to be in the STEM field but don’t think they can,” Sharrieff, who inspired someone to set up a college fundraising page for her and the other teens, said. Elsewhere, Democratic Calfornia Rep. Maxine Waters and the Congressional Black Caucus have addressed some of the discriminatory messages that try to dissuade Black folks from stepping into the STEM field. The CBC visited Silicon Valley on Tuesday to propose actions for better representation in tech, which falls at a measly 5 percent for Black people across Apple, Twitter and other companies, Axios reported. The teens’ success and Waters’ campaign also come after Jeanette Epps , a Black women astronaut, was kicked off a ground-breaking mission to the International Space Station in January. Racism was named by Epps’ brother, Henry Epps as the reason why she was deterred from becoming the first African American to visit the ISS. He started a Move.org petition to help raise awareness and fight back. It’s clear that this discrimination against people of color in STEM will be challenged in every way possible. Sina Rambo is a Nigerian native but has been back and forth from Atlanta to Nigeria where he has been preparing his project, today he released ‘Baba Sina Rambo’ a single featuring Afrobeat Pop Star Olamide. The HKN Gang artist is set to make more appearances in the states this summer but has released this single to keep his fans on edge until his arrival. When spending time with him in the studio while making this song he mentioned: “Shaku Shaku” which to me meant something of a dance vibe. Because the beat produced by YoungJohn makes you instantly want to get up and dance no matter what part of the world you’re from. Check out the full song below.
Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Fans were extremely excited once news broke that Donald Glover was set to expand his presence on his home network FX with an animated Deadpool series. Following that, seemingly out of nowhere, FX announced last week that the series was cancelled before it even started. A network rep said in a statement , “Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s Deadpool animated series.” Because of how many things the actor, producer, writer, and rapper has under his belt, the immediate speculation on why things didn’t work out was because Glover was probably to busy to take on yet another project. That wasn’t true, apparently, according to the source himself, who took to his Twitter page to let everyone know that his busy schedule has nothing to do with FX pulling the plug. He responded to everyone’s curiosity by sharing a script for a Deadpool episode titled “Finale.” The script revolves around Deadpool rescuing the last male white rhino and, from the references throughout, it seems like Glover wrote the 14 pages within the past few days. The script includes references to Sanaa Lathan (reportedly) biting Beyonce, Fortnite, and armed teachers. He also references in the script that fact that nobody will be watching this, but rather, reading it. In an interview with Revolt, Xan gave 2Pac a “clout” rating of “2′ and he said that the late rapper made “boring music.” To say Xan caused an uproar in the rap world would be an understatement. Waka Flocka banned him from hip hop… …and a group of high schoolers reportedly chased him out a Del Toco for his statements, causing the police to escort him to his car. At one point, Xan even had to hop on Twitter to clear the air. If you’ve been watching Vanderpump Rules recently, then you know the season’s most compelling storyline revolves around the doomed relationship between Scheana Marie and Rob Valletta . Now, before we go any further, it’s important to note that sometimes, reality stars become the victims of bad editing and are portrayed in a fashion that’s inconsistent with their real life behavior. But that’s not what happened with Scheana. It couldn’t have happened with Scheana. Unless she was forced to read scripted lines at gunpoint, or what we’ve seen all season is a flawless CGI rendering of Scheana, then those words really formed in her brain and came out of her mouth. Which means the aspiring pop star went through a period of time in which she was deeply, troublingly obsessed with Rob Valletta . Fortunately, Valletta got out before coming home to find an al denté pet rabbit waiting for him on the stove. Yes, Rob dumped Scheana just a few months into the relationship that she was so sure would end in marriage. (Homegirl even named their future kids after a few weeks of dating, which we’re pretty sure is literally a scene from that movie where Kate Hudson tries to scare off a pre-McConnaissance McConaughey.) The breakup didn’t surprise anyone, but the fact that Rob hasn’t since changed his name and relocated to the Alps is downright shocking. Not only has Rob decided to roll the dice by remaining in the States, he’s even been openly discussing his breakup on social media. Fortunately, Rob is aware that the first rule of dealing with a potential psychopath is “don’t say anything that might set them off.” Asked by a fan if he’s happy he broke with Scheana, Rob went the diplomatic route, replying: “No one is ever happy when they break up with anyone if they truly care.” That’s good! This dude might have to give up his career in TV wall-mounting to run for office. Rob was considerably more terse (and less truthful) when asked if he believes Scheana was obsessed with him. Rob replied simply, “No.” He went on to dash any hopes for a reconciliation, however, saying that he rarely speaks with Scheana these days. Asked about The Divorce Closet – the website that he planned to launch with Scheana that would enable divorced couples to sell their items online – Rob said he’s planning to go ahead with the project, but Scheana has chosen not to invest. Sadly, he didn’t answer any questions about why the hell divorced couples can’t just sell their sh-t on eBay.
