Now, however, Swift is showing off… the nipples on a male fan? Yup. Backstage at her Manchester concert on Wednesday evening, Swift posed for a photo with four loyal supporters. Three of them are young females. One of them is a guy named Curt… and Curt wearing a homemade shirt with two holes cut out for his nipples. Why? Why not, right?!? Swift was clearly amused by the interesting ensemble, as she shared this picture on Twitter and wrote as a caption to it: “And here we have Curt, demonstrating the newly mandated male dress code for the 1989 World Tour.” Taylor Swift embarked for the European leg of her world tour last Wednesday. You may want to sit down for this one, Brangelina fans: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting divorced ! At least that’s what the new issue of In Touch is claiming, and when has a tabloid ever lied to you? “Insiders” are claiming that things started to go wrong from the moment Pitt and Jolie got married last summer. You would think they would’ve had some idea of what to expect after more than a decade together, but apparently not: “He says she’s controlled him from day one of their relationship,” says one source. “Although he liked her taking charge at first, he’s come to resent the power he’s allowed her to have over him.” Yes, according to In Touch, Brad is the one who’s walking out: “He’s the one who’s calling time on their marriage. He’s told Angie they’re over, ” says the source. “He’s beyond miserable and wants out.” Somewhere, Jennifer Aniston is cackling maniacally while stroking the cat that she uses as a substitute for the children she never had. Or maybe she would be if this story wasn’t loaded with more BS than a rodeo stable. The magazine goes on to claim that Brad and Angie will slog through their promotional duties for the upcoming By the Sea, and then announce their split before the end of 2015. Beyonce And Jay Z Seen Photographed With Freddie Gray’s Family In Baltimore Spready love, it’s the Carter way… Via CNN Pop star Prince made room for another color next to his signature purple in his Baltimore “Rally4Peace” concert Sunday — and next to his music for dash of political gestures. “Wear something gray,” his promotional materials asked of patrons — in remembrance of Freddie Gray, who died from severe spinal injuries after his arrest last month. On the concert poster, an illustration showed Prince wearing it, too. After protests over Gray’s death gave way to riots in the city, the singer-songwriter recorded a song called “Baltimore,” dedicated to residents and to Gray, in which he calls for justice and peace. “The system is broken,” he shouted to the crowd at the Royal Farms Area. “It’s up to you young folks to fix it.” Prince had announced he would come to town to play live. Audio from the concert was streamed free via the digital live music service TIDAL. There was no way Jay Z and Beyonce were gonna miss an opportunity to show face when their much maligned music streaming service was involved. However, the Carter’s weren’t the only black superstars to make a surprise appearance… In addition to “Baltimore,” Prince played many of his hits, opening with “Let’s go Crazy.” But he hatched a surprise when he invited State’s Attorney for Baltimore City Marilyn Mosby to join him on stage, the Baltimore Sun reported. Mosby is heading the prosecution in the Gray case and has lodged charges against six police officers. The officers’ attorneys have filed a motion to have Mosby’s office taken off the case. They claim she has a conflict of interests, which she has denied. The concert tickets were a Mother’s Day gift from Mosby’s husband, Councilman Nick Mosby, the Sun reported. During the event, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Tina Knowles Lawson, and Alicia Keys all took a moment to flick it up with Freddie Gray’s family as well as Michael Brown’s mother. Flip the page for the pics. A 1991 commercial for Sizzler steakhouse resurfaced today, and it’s easy to see why the promotional spot has gone viral this Throwback Thursday. Apparently, a time when an eatery wanted to make ad that celebrated not only itself, but America at its finest. “We will make the most of all the best that freedom brings,” the theme song reminds us, as the voiceover drives home what Sizzler wants customers to know: “Americans have rediscovered, are redefining, what’s really important in their lives.” Read: Eating steak. And Americans doing a lot of awesome stuff Americans do. Those of you who weren’t alive in 1991 may not realize it, but the decade was marked by horrendous fashion, huge hair, and people possibly high on lithium. If there was one thing that united us all then, though, it was a good cut of beef. Reddit user “bigbrainonb-rad” posted this footage online this week, giving his pal props for the unique way in which he popped life’s most pressing question to his girlfriend. It opens with the unnamed woman and her man smiling for a self-portrait, only for the guy to apologize because he “accidentally” had the camera on video. So he reaches down to fix it, and then stays down on one knee to record his love’s reaction to the set of words all females want to hear. Taylor Swift’s fifth studio album 1989 finally drops this week, and the country-turned-pop songstress is still giving revealing interviews, as her promotional tour comes to a close. Last week, Taylor revealed that she hasn’t dated in 18 months . Today, she gave us a little insight as to why she prefers to spend time at home with her cats : Taylor Swift and Cats: A Perfect Pairing 1. Taylor Swift and Olivia Benson Taylor and the newest addition to her cat family. Olivia is named for Mariska Hargitay’s character on Law & Order: SVU. “I get beat up in the press whenever I go near a boy,” Taylor told London’s Daily Mail. “So you can understand why I’m taking a bit of a break…It’s seen as a scandal when I date a boy, and yet dating is a normal thing for a twentysomething to do.” You may have noticed that Taylor frequently uses the word “boy” when discussing her past relationships. Turns out, that’s no accident. Like her previous albums, 1989 contains plenty of veiled references to her exes. For example, it’s been widely assumed that ” Out of the Woods” is about Harry Styles , whom Taylor dated briefly in … One lyric that’s caught fans’ attention is the line, “Boys only want love when it’s torture.” Taylor claims that strange desire is one of the main things that separated boys from men. “Boys only want love if it’s torture and a constant chase,” Taylor says. “Men want love if it’s real, right, healthy and consistent…The male species has divided into two groups – it’s boys and men.” “You can have a 40 year old boy, and 20 year old man.” Sounds like Taylor’s really figured out what she wants in a relationship. Back in April, a man named Michael Egan accused director Bryan Singer of sexually assaulting him while he was still in his teens. Egan went on to accuse several other Hollywood execs , but eventually withdrew all of his allegations. Singer seemed to be in the clear until earlier today when it was revealed that the NYPD is investigating Singer in connection with a report filed by an unidentified 20-year-old man who claims that Singer sexually assaulted him in March of 2013. Details are few, but an NYPD spokesperson has confirmed that “Singer was named by the complainant.” Singer’s lawyer has issued a statement saying, “My client did not engage in any criminal or inappropriate behavior with anyone in New York or elsewhere.” While Singer escaped criminal prosecution in the Egan case, the charges have done untold damage to his reputation. Actress Ellen Page who had previously worked with Singer on the film X Men: Days of Future Past described the charges against the director as ” super disturbing .” Though he denies any wrongdoing with regard to Egan, Singer removed himself from the promotional campaign for his latest film following the accusation. Singer has yet to publicly respond to the latest allegations against him.
It’s a big week for Marvel marketing, what with the promotional campaigns for Iron Man 3 and The Wolverine seeing a lot of action. The big difference is that the Wolvie campaign appears geared to the ADD crowd. On Monday, I wrote about the six-second “tweaser” that the movie’s director James Mangold posted on Twitter. Well, steel your patience, because MTV has now posted an exclusive, marathon 20-second preview trailer on its site in advance of Wednesday’s release of a presumably longer trailer for The Wolverine . It would take me much longer to describe it than for you to watch it, so here you go: Like that early Iron Man 3 trailer in which Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin declared “You’lllll neverrrr see me coming” in that weird dialect, this trailer ends with a similarly ominous line spoken memorably. Is that one of the basic tenets of Marvel trailers 101 or something?
