Chris Brown Moves Out of Condo, Neighbors Celebrate

Chris Brown has thrown in the proverbial towel. The singer moved out of the West Hollywood condo in which he was at war with his fellow condo owners, many of whom termed him the neighbor from hell . Brown’s neighbors had complained bitterly that he parked in handicapped spots, played music at ear-shattering levels at all hours, raced dogs in the halls, etc. He was also accused of vandalism at one point. Chris Brown. So maligned . Brown denied committing any of those misdeeds and even got the majority of those “handicapped” parking tickets thrown out, as the spots were deeded to him. Still, he peaced a little while ago, and is no longer living in the unit. Chris has not sold the condo, however, and when he plans to (if at all) remains unclear. Party at the next owners association meeting?

Blink-182’s ‘Heart’s All Gone’: Back To Basics

Second song from band’s upcoming Neighborhoods album is equally indebted to both classic Blink and iconic West Coast punk. By James Montgomery Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images It’s easy to compare Blink-182 ‘s brand-new “Heart’s All Gone” with ” Up All Night ,” the first song they released off their upcoming Neighborhoods album, mostly because the similarities begin and end right there. They are both songs by the band, and they are both on the new record. Perhaps, then, it’s best to contrast the two songs, because they’re different in just about every conceivable way. “Up All Night” premiered with much fanfare — on the band’s site and L.A. radio station KROQ — and was greeted with much the same. “Heart’s All Gone,” on the other hand, bowed without much notice: just a quick link on Mark Hoppus’ Google Plus page that took you to a new website and a simple instruction to “Command the ‘A’ ” (or, if you’re on a PC, “CTRL + A”). Doing so on the new site, of course, revealed not only lyrics but the song itself. And that’s when the differences between the two tracks really become apparent. Because while “Up All Night” synthesized all of the band’s previous endeavors (Plus-44, Angels & Airwaves, Box Car Racer) into something entirely new, “Heart’s All Gone” does the complete opposite: It is very much a blast from the past — both Blink’s and the West Coast punk scene that birthed them. With its breakneck guitars, yelped vocals and cascading drums, it sounds like something taken from Blink’s 1997 Dude Ranch album (or ’01’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket ), but at the same time, it also recalls classic West Coast churn and burn,

Kanye West And Game Collabos ‘Tainted’ By Amber Rose Disses

‘He said he was gonna give me some beats, but he never did,’ Game says on ‘RapFix Live,’ speculating that lyrics may have upset ‘Ye. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Game Photo: MTV News Game and Kanye West have had quite the chemistry in the studio. But after producing a song on each of Game’s first three albums, the Louis Vuitton Don will not be supplying any music for the West Coast rapper’s upcoming The R.E.D. Album and that may be Game’s fault. “I dunno, I think I dissed Amber Rose while she was with [Kanye] and I think that kinda tainted our relationship a little bit,” Game told Sway on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live” after he was asked when he’d be working with Yeezy again. “I reached out to Kanye at the beginning of the album and I seen him in L.A. He said he was gonna give me some beats, but he never did,” the Compton MC said. “I didn’t take it personal, I got nothing but love for ‘Ye and the things that we did in the past.” The pair first collaborated when West hooked up the beat for “Dreams,” a single off of Game’s 2005 debut, The Documentary. The two then got together again on “Wouldn’t Get Far,” the model-dissing track off Game’s second album, The Doctor’s Advocate, and completed the hat trick in 2008 with “Angel” on the former G-Unit member’s L.A.X. LP. But when the rapper drops The R.E.D. Album on August 23, the streak will end. While Game admitted to some wrongdoing — throwing shots at Yeezy’s former squeeze while the two were together — he insisted that he never directly disrespected Kanye. “I never shoot shots at Kanye, and if I do, it’s always competitive and I’ll clean it up on the next bar because I got a lot of love and a lot of respect for him.” Game also says he isn’t hard-pressed for a Kanye track or feature. “What I’m saying is, I’m not waking up begging to work with Kanye, number one, but if it happens it happens; if it don’t, it don’t.” Sway then asked whether Game’s persistent barbs at Jay-Z had anything to do with the distance between him and Kanye, considering the two are dropping their collaborative Watch the Throne album . Game didn’t think that was a factor, noting that Kanye and Jay have always had a close relationship, and Game has been baiting Hov for years. “I’ve been shooting shots at Jay from the beginning, but worked with ‘Ye throughout,” the Dr. Dre prot

‘Beastly’ Star Vanessa Hudgens Talks Falling For Bad Boys

‘A lot of girls look up to guys who embody that,’ she tells MTV News of her character’s questionable taste in guys. By Kara Warner Photo: CBS Films As we’ve learned from promos and teaser trailers for “Beastly,” the movie is a modern take on the classic fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast.” Co-starring Vanessa Hudgens and “I Am Number Four” leading man Alex Pettyfer , the basic premise is the same, but there’s a key difference in this long-delayed adaptation. In “Beastly,” Hudgens’ character, Lindy, is a high-schooler operating on the outskirts of the cool crowd when she develops an attraction to Pettyfer’s bad boy, Kyle, who has yet to have his movie-star looks marred by any spells. When MTV News caught up with the “High School Musical” star recently, we asked what she thought about her character’s attraction to the proverbial bad boy. “I feel like a lot of girls think it’s easier to go under the radar, to not really stand up and let their true selves be known,” Hudgens explained about Lindy’s desire to stay in the background. “And I feel like when that happens, a lot of girls look up to guys who embody that, who are just truly out there and, of course, my character falls for that, as a lot of other girls would,” she said. Hudgens went on to say that while the “opposites attract” idea initially draws Lindy to the school’s most popular guy, she senses that there’s more to him and eventually connects to Kyle’s softer side. “Slowly, she falls in love with him, not for his appearance, which I think is the most beautiful part of it,” she said. “Beastly” hits theaters on Friday. Joe Jackson to MJ Fans: Back Off Conrad Murray!

In a surprise move, Joe Jackson is looking not to stir the proverbial pot. The late Michael Jackson’s father is trying to prevent armies of famously passionate Michael Jackson fans from exploding on Dr. Conrad Murray supporters … which apparently exist … at the doctor’s upcoming hearing in court. Joe’s begging Michael’s fans to not “lower” themselves to “their” level. It’s unclear who they even are, but in a letter to MJ’s fans, Joe says: Joe would also love you to pick up MJ’s greatest hits . “We would like to urge fans that are planning to attend to please do so in peace, unity and love for Michael. There should be NO violence, NO slander, NO yelling, and NO bad-mouthing or name-calling of Murray or his supporters.” Joe added, “By calling names, we are lowering ourselves to their level.” The elder Jackson says the message is simple, “Justice for Michael.” Never thought we’d see the day, but we have nothing bad to say about Joe here. Perhaps he’s just letting his own wrongful death suit against Murray do the talking.
