Stock Image By Getty Women Detainees Suffering Miscarriages Under ICE Detail Abuse Why are they denying pregnant women adequate health care??? Five undocumented pregnant women detained by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection) have come forward in a report published by Buzzfeed News Monday saying that they were ignored by agents while miscarrying and described both agency’s contracted jailers as unwilling to respond to medical emergencies. Each of these women’s stories have been backed by statements from legal aid workers, medical workers and advocates who previously worked with ICE detainees. In one of the many case investigated by Buzzfeed, a 23-year-old detainee name E tells them: “An official arrived and they said it was not a hospital and they weren’t doctors. They wouldn’t look after me. I realized I was losing my son. It was his life that I was bleeding out. I was staining everything. I spent about eight days just lying down. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t do anything. I started crying and crying and crying. My soul aches that there are many pregnant women coming who could lose their babies like I did and that they will do nothing to help them.” According to the report, E (who didn’t want to use her full name out of fear) gave up her fight for asylum, accepted voluntary departure, and was deported back to El Salvador. But, this wasn’t an isolated incident. Buzzfeed News also noted that each of the incidents detailed were not limited to a single detention center. Reportedly, handful of medical workers and legal aid sources said they witnessed instances in which pregnant women were denied adequate medical care at more than six detention facilities across California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Horrifying to say the least. In one of the testimony provided to the publication by the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), a pregnant woman said she was given clothing that was so tight, she suffered welts and a “pain in [her] uterus.” Another woman said she underwent repeated X-rays while pregnant despite the Federal Drug Administration’s warnings against. Sounds awful and traumatic! One of the women, who was seeking asylum feared she would die in El Salvador, says this cruel punishment of losing her unborn baby after attempting to cross United States borders with stick with her forever.

The bride wore a custom Vera Wang gown down the aisle, as singer Tank serenaded the audience with his rendition of ‘At Last.’ Attendees of the ceremony captured Luckett and her new hubby getting down at the reception: Luckett &Walker’s whirlwind romance was kept from the public eye until about three months ago when the ‘Back To Life’ singer flashed her sparkly engagement ring on Instagram, prompting fans to question ‘who is her new mystery fiance?’ Days later, Luckett revealed their love story in an exclusive to Essence Magazine, telling the publication she and Tommicus Walker met after a prophetic word from Pastor John Gray saying, ‘her husband is on his way.’ After being introduced by friends, the pair spoke for weeks over the phone without ever seeing a photo of the other and bonded through conversation and their love of God. A new report says that #45’s chief of staff John Kelly is trying to push her out of the White House inner circle because he’s tired of her creating drama . According to the Daily Beast , Kelly has taken steps to prevent the communications director for the Office of Public Liaison and other senior staffers from getting unvetted news articles on the president’s desk. Apparently sending the President news and facts riles him up and has him spending the whole day “fuming about it.” Sources told the publication that Omarosa was the main person who would slip into the Oval Office or email Trump to distract him with negative news coverage or Right Wing conspiracy theory stories. For example, earlier this summer Omarosa was one of the people who would bring President Trump stories about MSNBC hosts, and former Trump pals, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinsk i “slagging him, and his administration.” Soon after, the president tweeted that Brzezinski “was bleeding badly from a face-lift.” Kelly is not here for another incident like that . “When Gen. Kelly is talking about clamping down on access to the Oval, she’s patient zero,” a source close to the Trump administration told the Daily Beast. A source also told the publication that Kelly “is not thrilled by any means by [Manigault]. He is, however, thrilled that he has been able to stop staffers including Omarosa from bolting into the Oval Office and triggering the president with White House [palace] intrigue stories.” Another White House insider says that Omarosa is not “happy” with her loss of influence over the president. “She’s not happy about it. She has a bond that goes back years with [Trump] and resents being cut off like everyone has.” Girl bye—literally . Adele and Beyonce may have dominated the Grammy Awards on Sunday evening. But while one of these singers swept the show's three biggest categories , and the other performed while pregnant with twins, neither took her pants off on stage. So neither were able to match the antics of Twenty One Pilots. But while Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph did, indeed, strip halfway down upon accepting the trophy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, they didn't do it just to make headlines. Nor did they do it as a joke or a lark or simply to make folks laugh. Joseph explained on stage that there was actually a sentimental reason behind why he and Dun were standing before millions of viewers in their underwear. “This story starts in Columbus, Ohio, and it was a few years ago,” Joseph said in his speech. “It was before Josh and I were able to make money playing music.” The friends were at home, watching the Grammys with some other pals, and… “As we were watching, we noticed that every single one of us was in our underwear. Josh turned to me and said, 'If we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this.” So there you have it. Pretty cool, huh? “Not only is this amazing, but I want everybody who's watching at home to know that they could be next,” he concluded. We love it! Josh Elliott was fired from CBS News on Monday following an unusual series of events that started on Friday when he resigned his post from the network’s digital channel. Which came as quite a surprise to his bosses. Elliott had served as CBSN’s lead daytime anchor for about a year, but he announced his emotional goodbye to viewers just prior to the weekend, saying it was his “last day” and adding: “It has been by any measure a great stay here at CBSN.” According to The New York Post, Elliott’s departure came as a shock to CBS executives, none of whom had any idea he was planning to leave the digital station. “This is a mess of epic proportions,” said a network source to Page Six. “Nobody at the top at CBS News knew that Josh was going to do that.” Insiders tell the publication that Elliott had recently sat and talked with Laurie Orlando, the network’s head of talent, who told him she wanted him to take on a bigger role at CBS News. “ “Then Josh announced his departure without warning,” explains the source. “Executives at CBS were stunned.” Sounds like quite the miscommunication, huh? Fast forward to Monday… and the axe coming down on Elliott’s CBS career. “Josh was called to a meeting with CBS News heads including [president] David Rhodes and fired. He was escorted out of the building by security,” writes Page Six. The source adds: “Meanwhile, Laurie Orlando, who seems to be responsible for much of this mess, is missing. Nobody has seen her. This is a mystifying situation.” Wait… what?!? Orlando is flat-out missing?!? Elliott seems to think that his executive producer is the one who messed up here, failing to alert higher-ups about his future at the network. “They totally bungled their own announcement,” says the source. “There was no communication.” The network has not confirmed the bizarre details behind Elliott’s departure, but the network did release a statement in regard to Elliott being let go. It reads: “CBS News and Josh Elliott are parting ways. Josh will no longer be reporting for CBS News. We are grateful for his contributions over the last year, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.” Elliott has now been fired by CBS, ABC and CBS. You probably got to know him as co-host at ABC’S Good Morning America. However, abruptly quit in 2014 after he was poached by NBC. And now he’s gotten himself into this scandal at CBS. Elliott joined CBS News in March 2016 in order to serve as the lead anchor for its digital news service CBSN. It was thought by many that that he was being groomed as a successor to Charlie Rose and was due to fill in for the news legend over the next several days, as Rose just underwent heart surgery. Alas. We’ll be curious to see what’s next for Josh Elliott.
