Here’s something you probably never thought about while watching Cops : Does being followed around by a camera crew affect the way police officers do their jobs? That’s the question being posed by the family of Aiyana Stanley-Jones. The 7-year-old Detroit girl was shot and killed in her bedroom by a stray bullet last Sunday while police searched for a murder suspect with a camera crew for the A&E series The First 48 in tow.

Should Lindsay Lohan Pull a Polanski?

A judge in L.A. today issued a warrant for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest when the starlet failed to show for a mandatory “DUI progress-report hearing.” By now Lohan’s excuse is relatively well-known: She was visiting Cannes and, er, her passport was stolen. Her team says she’s spent the last few days working with the State Department to get a replacement (the U.S. Embassy in France denies this ), while French authorities say she never even reported the original stolen in the first place. As a result of the warrant, says the U.S. Customs Agency, Lohan will be arrested when attempting to reenter the country. Which of course raises the question: Why even bother coming home?

Journalists believe that BP and the Government may be hiding information on the severity of the leak. Those who fish for a living in the Gulf of Mexico are after BP for compensation. The central question yet to be answered to help resolve the question of how the explosion happened. Pay close attention to this lesson… Earlier this week, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson taped an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show that will air tomorrow afternoon. As reported by THG, the pair met with the host beforehand and were warned that she’d ask about the status of their relationship. At this point, Rob and Kristen admitted they were dating – but said they didn’t wish to discuss it on-air. Oprah said fine, they could shoot down the question however they wanted to when it came up. So, when the cameras rolled and the inevitable was asked, Pattinson joked that Stewart was pregnant. That’s it. End of story. Oprah viewers will see these 10 seconds play out tomorrow, as part of an in-depth interview that reveals actual information. Now, cut to this week’s OK! Weekly cover: SIGH.

Country hotties Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are engaged! He popped the question May 9 – and in classy fashion for a self-proclaimed “hillbilly” singer. “He called my dad and got his blessing first,” Lambert told People of her boyfriend of five years. “That was so Southern and old-school and just perfect.” Equally perfect: The diamond-and-platinum ring he picked out. “I was so proud of him,” says Lambert. “He knew exactly what I would’ve wanted but it’s so much more perfect than I could have picked out myself.” The setting for the proposal was distinctly down-home – in the woods near Lambert’s Tishomingo, Okla., home, followed by a similarly informal party. Kate Hudson’s recent boob job has been a regular celebrity gossip topic of late, which is somewhat odd in that there’s been no confirmation of it from anyone close to her or photo evidence suggesting it actually took place. Sorry, Us Weekly. Despite saying Kate “underwent a small breast augmentation in March,” we’re not buying it. Come on. Just look at the image below. This is Kate at the MET Costume Institute gala in New York. She looks like … Kate Hudson always does. Right? Take a look and see what you think … Plastic surgery or not, Kate’s got some nice legs! Did Spencer Pratt have a point when he criticized Kate Hudson’s breast implants for being completely unnoticeable? Or did she simply not have any work done? It’s more of a mystery than whether or not she is really dating Thom Yorke , the lead singer of Radiohead. We honestly haven’t a clue if either story is true.
