Peaceful Protesters Gather On Anniversary Of Mike Brown’s Death Today we remember Ferguson, MO teen Mike Brown who was gunned down by Officer Darren Wilson and shook the nation. Via Complex : On the anniversary of Michael Brown’s death, Ferguson, Mo. looks a little different today than it did a year ago. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the father of Brown, Michael Brown Sr., led a march in honor of his son, who died in a confrontation with St. Louis police officer Darren Wilson this weekend last year. In the 90 degree heat, children played in the streets, police officers handed out popsicles, and protesters took rides in state patrol ATVs. According to reporter Jack Witthaus, no one in the neighborhood could remember the last time a march had passed through. Michael Brown Sr. led the march, with about 100 people, from Canfield Green Apartments, where his son was shot, to Normandy High School, his son’s alma mater. When he died, 18-year-old Brown had just graduated from high school a few days before. The march started with a group prayer at the memorial site; Michael Brown Sr. has been organizing this and other events (like yesterday’s event to feed the homeless and tomorrow’s silent walk) through his family’s nonprofit. After the prayer, the group marched the five miles to Brown’s school, with Da Warehouse Warriors Youth Marching Machine leading the way. “It means a lot,” said the mom of two girls in the drumline. “This is a teaching moment to the kids to always stand up for something.” Has the world we lived in really changed since Mike Brown’s tragic and untimely murder? Father Indicted For Keeping Daughter’s Corpse In Crib A man in Ohion has been taken into custody and indicted for keeping his dead child’s remains in his home fore over a month. Via MailOnline : An Ohio father has been indicted by a grand jury for keeping the body of his dead 21-month-old daughter in a crib in his apartment for over a month. A Medina County grand jury ruled to indict 34-year-old Eric Warfel Tuesday on felony charges of abusing a corpse in the fifth degree and tampering with evidence in the third degree. The medical examiner hasn’t ruled on the cause of death as of Thursday afternoon. A technician from Armstrong Cable was working at the Forest Meadows Apartments Homes in Medina installing wiring at the residence of Eric Warfel July 29. Warfel was not home at the time, and after realizing there was a very strong smell inside the apartment, the technician discovered the body of Ember Warfel in a garbage-strewn bedroom. The body was in such bad condition it could not be determined at first if the child was a boy or a girl. The Medina-Gazette reported that Warfel was arrested later that day while out on a shopping trip with his other daughter, 7-year-old Elizabeth. He had spent the previous night with the girl at a Motel 6, where detectives later discovered cocaine. What the hell?? We’re guessing the father played a direct role in the death of this baby if he left her body ignored in a trashy room for over a month. SMH. Facebook

Bobbi Kristina And Nick Gordon’s Home Filthy And Uninhabitable After Bobbi Kristina’s untimely passing , stories are trickling in about the life she and boyfriend Nick Gordon lived in the weeks leading up to the drowning incident that ultimately led up to her death. Now, an anonumous source is revealing that the Atlanta townhouse the two shared was a filthy “drug den” that is now unlivable without extensive cleaning and repair. Via RadarOnline : The Atlanta-area home Bobbi Kristina Brown shared with Nick Gordon is such a pigsty that it will need extensive work just to get it into good enough condition to sell. “It was pretty bad in there,” a source who was in the home shortly before Brown’s tragic accident tells RadarOnline.com. “It’s destroyed — no one gave it love.” According to the source, the condo was practically uninhabitable. “Dog feces and stains were everywhere and the hardwood was sticky and icky.” In fact, the damage was so bad that all the flooring will have to be deep cleaned or replaced, points out the source. “The walls were filthy so those will need new paint, too…It was awful.” The condo was also overflowing with the couple’s belongings. “Nick and Krissi would go on trips and fill suitcases with brand new clothes, then go on another trip and fill it with new clothes,” reveals the source. “So there were 15 to 20 luggage cases all over their floor.” Gordon, adds the source, “had 200 boxes of shoes in the dining room alone.” The situation grew so dire that the source “forced” Brown and Gordon to scrub the home “from 7 in the morning until 7 at night.” “We cleaned it up and fixed up the room and they were thrilled. They were actually excited they could find their couch. It was covered!” Yikes. We bet everyone that ever came in contact with this couple is going to have a story now that Bobbi Kristina has passed on. SMH.
