Joan Rivers Funeral Featured Howard Stern Eulogy, Hugh Jackman Singing

When Joan Rivers passed away last week, there was an immediate outpouring of grief and affection from celebs ranging from Kylie Jenner to Samuel L. Jackson. Joan Rivers Photos: One of a Kind 1. R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933-2014) R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933-2014). She will never be forgotten. Rivers had a lot of famous friends and openly discussed her desire for a “Hollywood funeral” in her memoirs and stage acts.  When the iconic comedienne was laid to rest on Sunda, the star-studded event in her honor – complete with song-and-dance numbers – would certainly not have disappointed. Howard Stern delivered a eulogy that was reportedly filled with the sort of off-color jokes that made Joan famous. The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus opened the show. Hugh Jackman sang “Quiet Please, There’s a Lady on Stage,” followed by one last standing ovation for Joan Rivers. There were sentimental moments too, of course, as Melissa Rivers read a touching letter to her legendary mother and Broadway star Audra McDonald sang the tearjerker “Smile.” Rivers stopped breathing during a surgical procedure on August 28. She lapsed into a coma from which she never awoke. No official cause of death has been determined. Though she was 81 and had experienced health problems in the past, Rivers’ death came as a shock to fans, as she was as active and controversial as ever in her final days. Joan’s nearly 60-year career in comedy saw many ups and downs but she never abandoned her signature brand of outspoken, tell-it-like-it-is style of humor. Enjoy some of Rivers’ most memorable moments in the gallery below: 9 Hilarious Joan Rivers Moments 1. 15 Best Nude Scenes in Movie History: Ogle These Actresses Guilt-Free!

As a human being with eyes, and/or ears, and access to the Internet, you’ve probably heard that nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and several other A-list actresses were leaked online this week. When the first semi-clothed pic appeared, it seemed like a bit of relatively harmless – albeit slightly pervy – fun. But as more shots of more actresses in less clothing hit the Web, we realized this was a gross invasion of privacy on a scale that we’d never seen before. Yes, for a time, this a-hole hacker ruined the fun of ogling scantily clad celebrities. Well, we’re taking the power back. There are plenty of actresses who willingly strip down in front of cameras, so we’ll stick to pitching tents over their photos, thank you very much: 15 Hottest Nude Scenes 15. Sharon Stone Stone bared all in 1992’s Basic Instinct. In the gallery above, you’ll find 15 of the most iconic female nude scenes in TV and film history according to nakedness aggregator site, Mr. Skin. There’s even a music video in the mix. So take a stand for online privacy by scoping out the consensually bared boobies in our slideshow. It’s the patriotic thing to do. And when you’re done there, feel free to check out Kim Kardashian nude in the gallery below. She’s taken the pre-emptive strike approach by showing us her naked body from every angle, thus making it pointless for any hacker to break into her phone.  We imagine she’s also plastered her credit card numbers on billboards all over LA. Joan Rivers Dead at 81; Daughter Confirms Comic Legend’s Passing in Statement

Joan Rivers has passed away at the age of 81. The comedian had been fighting for her life since she stopped breathing during a surgical procedure last week. Joan Rivers Photos: One of a Kind 1. R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933-2014) R.I.P. Joan Rivers (1933-2014). She will never be forgotten. The one-of-a-kind star “passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends,” Joan’s only daughter, Melissa Rivers, said in a statement. “My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.” Rivers reportedly died of cardiac arrest this afternoon. She was admitted to New York’s Mt. Sinai hospital August 28 after she stopped breathing during a procedure on her vocal cords at a New York Clinic. In the ensuing days, Rivers was placed in a medically-induced coma to assess her condition, then placed on and subsequently taken off life support . The petite blonde firebrand won’t be remembered for the events of the past week, but for the pioneering confessional female comic persona she embodied. Often lampooning her personal life (and others’), she brought a rare gravitas to gigs from the The Tonight Show to Fashion Police over more than five decades. Joan had and did it all, from talk shows, Vegas engagements, and bestselling nonfiction books, to award shows, TV commentary and best of all, standup comedy. Edgy and never afraid of being politically incorrect, she always stirred up controversy in what became an increasingly politically correct world since she started out. Back in the ’60s, Rivers paved the way for comics of the female gender to be every bit as outrageous, outlandish and hilarious as men, with no qualms about it. Her life was also marked by the tragedy, specifically her husband Edgar Rosenberg’s 1987 suicide, which was played out in the media for months. Rivers and her daughter with Rosenberg starred in the reality/improv comedy show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best? for WE TV and were very close. Joan and Melissa Rivers have been fixtures on E! and other channels as hosts of awards ceremonies arrivals (the Oscars, Golden Globes, and others) since 1995. In a way, it was fitting that we learned of Joan’s condition the same day that we found out Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got married . Joan spent much of her career deflating the egos of A-list stars, and she likely would’ve gotten kick out of the fact that her last act involved upstaging the world’s most famous couple. Sadly, we’ll never get to hear Joan’s biting takedown of Angie’s wedding dress. 9 Hilarious Joan Rivers Moments 1. Joan Hosts the Tonight Show Joan was a frequent guest and fill-in host on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show. She and Carson never spoke again after she launched a rival late night show.
