People really aint isht… American Teacher In China Popped For Sexually Abusing Students A sicko scumbag teacher in China is making a bad name for American teachers overseas after he was recently arrested for allegedly forcing sex on multiple students of both genders. via Fox News An American teacher at a top French school in Shanghai has reportedly been detained by authorities on suspicions of sexually assaulting at least seven students. The alleged abuse by a male teacher at the Lycee Francais de Shanghai came to light after families filed formal accusations against him, claiming he forced sex on and sexually abused children of both genders, the AFP reports. The teacher was arrested last month, and Chinese police have launched an investigation. “As parents we are devastated,” one mother told AFP, declining to reveal her identity for privacy concerns. A notice sent to parents referred to “sexual assaults,” but the school has not provided additional details. The U.S. Consulate in Shanghai has declined comment. North Carolina Lawmakers Vote To Repeal Racial Justice Act The majority Republican North Carolina House lawmakers have voted to do a way with the remaining parts of the Racial Justice Act, which provides death row inmates to contest their death sentences if they can prove that racial discrimination played a part in the sentencing. via WRAL House lawmakers have given tentative removal to repeal the remaining sections of the North Carolina’s Racial Justice Act, the 2009 law that allows death row inmates to seek to have their sentences commuted to life without parole if they can prove that racial bias played a role in their death sentence. Republican leaders repealed large portions of the law in 2012. Senate Bill 306 would repeal what’s left of the law, leaving in limbo scores of cases pending review under it. Rep. Skip Stam, R-Wake, said the RJA had become a de facto moratorium on the death penalty. “No one wants actual racial discrimination. What we don’t want also is for race to be used for a pretext – a pretext in order to stop the death penalty,” he said in Tuesday’s floor debate. “We don’t need this Racial Justice Act,” said Rep. Sarah Stevens, R-Surry. “It has created nothing but a delay in the system, a tremendous amount of cost.” While the motives of the right-wing goons are always questionable at best, this IS kind of a tricky issue. Lamar Hurd, a Portland sportscaster, is lobbying – and has already garnered great support – to become the first African-American star of ABC’s The Bachelor. According to his professional-looking audition video (below), Lamar’s assistant Tammy first came up with the idea to submit an application on his behalf. “Let’s say I wanted to go on it, and was willing to do it, they haven’t even had a black Bachelor,” Lamar said of his initial resistance to apply. But he did! Lamar Hurd For The Bachelor! If the video tells us anything, it’s that Lamar Hurd is clearly telegenic, comfortable on camera, humble and shirtless a lot. Really, how can he go wrong?! More importantly, he seems charismatic and charming, yet measured. Fun enough to lure viewers in, boring enough to be a non-polarizing blank slate. Plus, the racial element would be one heck of a hook for the new season. Lack of diversity is one of our top five complaints about the show (the other four being overuse of the word “journey”, lame metaphors equating bungee jumping to romance, cringe-worthy grammar, i.e. “Ben and I’s relationship”, and Courtney Robertson ). It’s unclear if ABC would go for a non-white Bachelor , since past runner-ups have been good for ratings, or what the racial makeup of young women would be. And is America even ready for the first minority Bachelor? Given that they’ve already had a cyborg on there twice ( Brad Womack ), we’d say yes. Please. ‘Nobody’s child should be shot in cold blood for anything,’ Jeezy tells MTV News in reaction to the death of the Florida teenager. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Young Jeezy Photo: Getty Images The hip-hop community has been particularly vocal about the tragic shooting death of . ?uestlove, Big Boi and Wyclef Jean, like so many other Americans, have spoken out in the support of the 17-year-old boy who was murdered while walking home through a gated Florida community. During an interview with MTV News in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Young Jeezy expressed both his concern and support with equal vigor. “I feel very deeply as a community leader and as a product of my culture,” the self-proclaimed Thug Motivator said. “I feel like we all got to get together and stop this, ’cause I have a son his age and I just feel like that could’ve been either of our children.” Martin was walking from the store to his dad’s home in the Sanford, Florida, gated community on February 26 when he was spotted by community watchman George Zimmerman. According to reports, Zimmerman, who was suspicious of the teen who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, called 911, but was instructed by the dispatcher not to pursue Martin. By the time police arrived on the scene, Zimmerman had shot Trayvon dead and claimed self-defense. Police did not arrest Zimmerman, who they claim is protected by the so-called “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows Floridians to shoot anyone they believe is threatening them. Martin, however, did not have a weapon. All police found on his body was a bag of Skittles, a can of iced tea and a cellphone. On Thursday (March 22), the Sanford police chief announced that he was temporarily stepping down due to overwhelming pressure from the case. On Wednesday in New York City, demonstrators flooded Union Square in support of Martin in what was dubbed the Million Hoodie March . The tragic incident has forced Jeezy to think about his own children. “My son is a good kid. Does he do stuff? Of course, that’s what kids do. But nobody’s child should be shot in cold blood for anything, especially if they didn’t harm or hurt another individual,” he said. The fact that Martin is black and Zimmerman is Hispanic has added a racial sting to the killing, but Jeezy downplayed the racial element and called for unity. “I feel the racial line and the tension of it, I get it, but we’re gonna stand strong on the black and the brown side on this one,” he said. “We’re gonna stand together. I betcha that.” The Snowman urges that everyone lend their voice because there is a bigger societal issue at hand. “This is real, I understand that there are a lot of things goin’ on in the world and times are hard for everybody right now, but when you start having adults kill children for any reason, then we’re on our way to something we don’t want to be at,” he said. “The minute we accept that, we stand for nothing.” Related Artists Young Jeezy
