So far, it’s still unclear if Randy Jackson will remain on board. ‘Idol’ still has one more spot to fill at the judge’s table … and there are rumors Miley Cyrus and Adam Lambert could be in the running. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez may be gone from American Idol , and chatter may already be buzzing over their replacement (Adam Lambert? Mariah Carey? Aretha Franklin? ), but these judges will never be forgotten. By their now-former co-star at least. “Steven and Jennifer are truly two of the most talented and consummate professionals I’ve worked with,” Jackson told Gossip Cop in a statement. “I was friends with them before we hopped on this crazy journey together and I have no doubt our friendships will continue long after. I will love them for life.” Lopez confirmed her departure to Ryan Seacrest on Friday, while Tyler released his own statement earlier in the week. Expect those American Idol judging rumors to only grow louder now. Appearing this morning on The Today Show , Jennifer Lopez was asked about her status on the Fox smash and told Natalie Morales: “I love everybody, I love the guys [Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and host Ryan Seacrest], but I am thinking it’s time for me to go and do other things I love to do like films.” This isn’t the first time that J. Lo has hinted at a departure, though it was seen as a contract negotiation a year ago. However, following a disappointing ratings season, producers may want to go in a wholly different direction on Season 12. Potential replacement, according to recent chatter, include Adam Lambert , Miley Cyrus… and Charlie Sheen ? Do you want to see Jennifer Lopez as a judge next season?

Katy Perry Unsure About American Idol Judge Job There’s been lots of talk lately about who will replace Bronx-born banger Jennifer Lopez as a judge on next season’s American Idol show alongside current judges Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. Among those rumored to be in the running to fill J.Lo’s six-inch stiletto’s is pop princess Katy Perry. But with a new movie in theaters and other plans for the future, the purple-haired potty-mouthed singer says she’s not sure if ‘Idol’ is the right move for her. As Access Hollywood reports, Katy Perry said of “American Idol,” and the reports in the media: “People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it’s not right for me yet. I have ideas for two or three big, creative things, and I want to be able to fulfill those ideas.” Katy Perry is a hugely successful singer. Her most recent album, “Teenage Dream” became an instant success, and featured a number of top singles, and her “California Dreams” tour was a great event and a hit with fans around the world. There is no doubt that Perry fans are excited to see what the future holds for the singer, and it remains to be seen if “American Idol’ will be in that future at some point. Michael Jackson’s former bodyguard Matt Fiddes claims that the late King of Pop once tried to have members of his inner circle kill Randy Jackson. His brother, not the portly American Idol personality of the same name. In the interview with The Sun (UK), Fiddes claims that Michael was intensely paranoid and “caught in a war with his brothers for years, They were all desperate to sign him up to a $500 million deal for a Jackson 5 reunion tour.” Fiddes explained that the eccentric Michael eventually grew fearful of his sibling. “Things reached a head when Randy was trying to force his way past the bodyguards to speak to him in one of his rented homes. Michael ordered him to be shot .” Of course, no one shot Randy, who is alive and (presumably) well right now. Fiddes adds, “[Michael] was out of mind on drugs and luckily Randy was OK.” “Randy was so scared he got on the phone and threatened to call the press. He told the bodyguards, ‘If you shoot me the whole world will know about it.'” Fiddes also claims MJ despised Madonna and poked holes in a Voodoo doll of Steven Spielberg.
