J. Cole and Drake are going to be weeping with Rick Ross soon…crying about losing that endorsement scrilla. According to Spin Magazine Even though it was released last month, Drake and J. Cole’s “Jodeci Freestyle” is now causing a bit of a problem. Specifically, over the Born Sinner rapper’s line, “I’m artistic, you niggas is autistic, r******d.” Turns out some people aren’t too happy about that. As Fact reports, the Anti-Bullying Alliance and autism activist Anna Kennedy are calling on the rappers to offer an official apology and remove the offending lyric from the release. They started a petition on Change.org and it’s already garnered over 2,500 signatures since it was launched on July 13. “It’s time we recognized people with autism for the exceptional human beings that they are and make a stand,” Kennedy’s statement reads. “Give us a Break!” The petition only has a goal of 5,000 signatures, which should be reached soon. Then again, Change.org doesn’t exactly have any legal sway over Drake and J., so it’s feasible that nothing will come of this. Artistic, autistic…wow they got bars-not.
A new law banning saggy pants in Wildwood, N.J., is not sitting well with The Game, who says such a move is basically racism by another name. Anyone on the coastal city’s boardwalk whose pants sag more than three inches below the hips, with skin or underwear exposed, is breaking the law . First time offenders are subject to fines ranging from $25-100, with second offenses reaching $200 and community service. Seriously, this is a thing. Along with several other rappers, Game is pissed. And urging action. “N****s should sag down to their socks out there. They trying to get people to not sag, please. Can’t tell people how to wear their f***ing clothes,” he said. “What time are we in? This ain’t the f***ing slave days. F*** that.” Game notes, “I am with the sagging movement. Congrats to the money team ! Floyd Mayweather Jr. Beats Robert Guerrero Via SI reports: The defense was back, just like it used to be. Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s dad was back, too, just like he used to be. And Mayweather was a winner once again – just like he always is. Mayweather fought as if he had never left the ring, coming back from a year’s absence Saturday night to win a unanimous 12-round decision over Robert Guerrero in their welterweight title fight. The game plan was defense, and Mayweather followed it perfectly. With his father directing from the corner after a 13-year absence, he dominated Guerrero in a performance not totally expected at the age of 36. “I needed my father tonight,” Mayweather said. “My defense was on point and he told me to stick with my defense and that the less you get hit the longer you last.” Mayweather was masterful at times, landing thudding right hands and bloodying Guerrero’s face in a performance that mimicked some of his best fights. Mayweather hurt Guerrero on several occasions, including a series of right hands near the end of the eighth round that buckled Guerrero’s knees. All three judges scored the bout 117-111. The Associated Press had it 119-109. “We did it again,” Mayweather said after earning at least $32 million for his night’s work. “I take my hat off to Robert Guerrero. He’s a true warrior.” If it wasn’t terribly pleasing to the crowd of 15,880, it was terribly effective. Mayweather made a fighter who hadn’t lost in eight years look befuddled as he danced and moved and shot out right hands with increasing frequency.
